Ticket seller Gametime gets $30M in new funding

Ticketing platform Gametime has secured a new $30M funding round. The company, founded by Brad Griffith in '13, said it is experiencing record-breaking ticket buying volume and revenues, with sales projected to exceed $500M this year. Gametime’s 10 highest sales days have all occurred in '22. The funding round featured Nimble Partners, Maven Ventures, Accel, GV, Jeff Mallett, Bolt Ventures, Tenere Capital, Blitzscaling Ventures, Next Play Capital, Palapa Ventures, Alumni Ventures and University Growth Fund, among others. Nimble Partners includes Warriors investor John Burbank, while Mallett is an MLB Giants principal partner and Whitecaps Chair, as well as an early investor in Gametime.

Gametime has now raised more than $81M over six funding rounds during its existence. It specializes in last-minute ticket sales to sports events and other live entertainment. The new investment will help Gametime accelerate product development and boost its efforts to reach younger ticket buyers, one of the company's core audiences.
