PROPOSED NEW OVER-THE-COUNTER DERIVATIVES DATA REPORTING RULES
On June 9, the CSA published for comment proposed amendments to streamline and bring over-the-counter derivatives data reporting standards in line with international standards developed by the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).

The objectives are to reduce operational and compliance costs for market participants that report transactions globally, while improving the consistency and quality of the data available to regulators and the public.
The proposals are out for an extended 120-day comment period. Responses due October 7, 2022.
