I love having a card stand for display! And this Vertical Freestanding Fun Fold Card does exactly that! A little color was added to just one flower on the Abigail Rose Designer Series paper so that it “pops” out. These neutral colors of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso are so soothing. Petal Pink adds a warm glow.

Inside the card is a pretty trellis complete with climbing flowers! I added some contrast to the flower center with a blender pen and some ink refill. The full details are in the tutorial. This unique trellis die is part of the dies in the True Beauty bundle. This trellis adds such a unique twist to your cards!

The versatile Season of Chic bundle and the beautiful Texture Chic Designer Series Paper make stunning cards! The layering piece and some of the elements use the stunning Distressed Gold paper. I share a trick in the tutorial on how to get the most from your Distressed Gold paper for this card design.
I had so much fun creating these that I did three version: a flower version, a seashell version, and a Christmas / winter version with the snowflake die from the set. In addition to the the seashells, flowers, and snowflake in the set, there is also some fall leaf dies. So you could make this card for every season.
Special extended version of the Vertical Freestanding Fun Fold Card with the Gnomes!
Cuteness alert!! I fell in love with the adorable Kindest Gnomes bundle. The matching Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper is (of course) the perfect complement to this fun bundle. I got creative with the dies in the bundle to make “mittens” for my gnome too! All the details are in the extensive step-by-step tutorial.
This version of the card has an extended panel that opens out for even more decorating possibilities. One of the things that I love about the Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper is that you can die cut images right out of the paper with the dies from the bundle. I die cut the “gnome home” and the gnome girl from the paper. Then I decorated the extra panel with these fun images. The snowflake pattern in the Wintry Embossing Folder two pack is so perfect for this design from the paper! This folder pack sold out for a while last year near the holidays . If you don’t have it yet I recommend ordering it early.
From this “top down” view you can get a better feel for how the extended panel folds open. I had so much fun creating this card that I just had to do another version!

Say hello to this happy little Poppy Parade gnome with the Poinsettia hat! For this woodland gnome I used the FREE Sale-a-bration Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. I also used the Timber 3D embossing folder.
Inside the card I carried through with the woodland theme by using another pattern from the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. So cute – and the paper is free with a qualifying order! All of the details for this card are included in the tutorial bundle, along with all the other cards shown in this blog post.
This photo shows the detail of the embossing a bit better. The Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems add the finishing touch! Many of the cards in this tutorial bundle feature the versatile Stylish Shapes Dies. I am finding that these dies go with almost every project I make! Definitely a wise investment to add to your paper crafting tools.
