What's new to Bug Club?
- 81 fully decodable books in Reception and Year 1 in line with advice from leading experts and the DfE's Reading Framework.
- Exciting new characters, created by a diverse range of authors and illustrators, bringing reading to life and engaging even the most reluctant readers!
- Our Bug Club Reading Corner, an online library of books that children can choose according to their interests, encouraging them to read for pleasure.
- Reading Corner eBooks are mobile-friendly, making them accessible to even more children at home and in school.
39 new Disney readers added to Bug Club!
- Children can learn to read with family favourites such as:
Disney Moana,
Disney Encanto,
Disney Frozen,
Disney and Pixar Toy Story, and many more! - All of the Disney books have been designed to support all children as they learn to read, including those with dyslexia. This includes fonts that are now dyslexia-friendly, and text set on a pastel-coloured background to avoid visual stress.
- The Reception and Year 1 books are fully decodable in line with the Department for Education’s Reading Framework.
Bug Club Reading Corner
Bug Club Reading Corner is our brand-new online reading for pleasure library. It offers:
- Children the chance to choose from lots of exciting topics and search for the books they want to read.
- Stories by a range of diverse authors and illustrators, featuring exciting, representative characters who live in all sorts of places and go on all sorts of adventures.
- Books on real-life, interesting topics.
