Russia has barred 39 British citizens from entering the country, including former Prime Minister David Cameron and Labour Party leader Keir Starmer and Piers Morgan.
The Russian foreign ministry stated: “The choice in favour of confrontation is the conscious decision of the British political establishment, which bears all responsibility for the consequences.”
The most disturbing aspect of Britain’s (and more broadly the West) escalation with Russia is the West’s unpreparedness due to its distraction by the silly woke agenda, amid global crises including nuclear threats, threats to the rule of law via out-of-control illegal migration, and diminishing food and energy supplies.
As Russia expands its blacklist and threats, which it has every intention of doing, its allies China and Iran cheer it on. The diminishing of America and more broadly the globalist West sends the message to Islamic and Communist regimes and groups that they have windows of opportunity in pursuit of their expansion agendas. Even Hamas chief Isma’il Haniya declared recently that since US influence is shrinking, Hamas must build alliances with Russia and China.
“Russia blacklists 39 UK citizens, including ex-PM David Cameron for ‘demonising’ it on international stage,” by Moohita Kaur Garg, WION News, August 1, 2022:
Tensions between Russia and the West are rising as the six-month mark of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine approaches without any signs that Moscow will back down. On Monday, Russia announced that it had placed 39 British citizens on a “blacklist,” and has barred them from entering the country. Reportedly the list includes former prime minister David Cameron and Labour Party leader Keir Starmer. Following President Vladimir Putin’s deployment of troops to Ukraine on February 24, London has been one of Kyiv’s loudest allies.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has accused the listed United Kingdom citizens, officials, business people and journalists of contributing to “the hostile course of London aimed at the demonisation of our country and its international isolation” according to the foreign ministry of Russia.
As per Reuters in its statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that this list will be further expanded.
“Given London’s destructive drive to spin the sanctions flywheel on far-fetched and absurd pretexts, work on expanding the Russian stop-list will continue.”
The ministry further said, “The choice in favour of confrontation is the conscious decision of the British political establishment, which bears all responsibility for the consequences.”….

Dang! There go the British Elite plans for vacationing in Russia. What’s next? Cutting off the supply of prospective Russian Brides, the ones who are always looking for something a little higher on the food chain?

Good on the Russians! At least someone’s got tabs on all those crooks in the UK’s corridor’s of power and influence.
Infidel says
Yeah, but were these gentlemen looking forward to a trip to Russia in the foreseeable future?

Jayell, I have issues with some of these figures, certainly–but do you really believe that “demonizing” Russia makes you a crook? If so, what punishment do you believe they should face?

……………………………..
Yeah, ’cause I imagine that these folks just couldn’t wait to visit a place where you can be imprisoned for just calling the war in Ukraine a war…
And with all respect to Christine Douglass-Williams, I’m not sure we should be wringing our hands over whether Iran is gloating over thuggery or not. The thing to do is to oppose that thuggery. Russia has been losing a lot of ground in Ukraine, so generally this seems to be working pretty well.
And I don’t consider saying that the brutal unprovoked invasion of Ukraine a bad thing is “escalation”. The only escalation was Russia’s invasion and brutalizing of Ukrainian civilians. Appeasing thugs does not actually help–it never has.
