Retrofitting is a great and cost-effective way to create a home that is more energy efficient. This seminar explores what changes you can make to your home to save on energy. Join us for this great in person seminar that will cover the following:

  • Energy Tips: DIY Retrofit.
Dan Cowdell, the Executive Officer of Geelong Sustainability, has been working in the energy efficiency field for many years. Dan will share energy tips and retrofitting options that can be easily implemented. Dan will share his experience and easy ways you can start your retrofit journey today. In this session, you will learn about the opportunities available for your home and ask any questions you might have.  Dan will also walk people through Energy Tips website as a resource to support people on where to start.
  • Tips for Renters.
Sarah Fiess, from Sustainability Victoria, will share her depth of experience and research into retrofitting for renters. As renters, we sometimes feel like we cannot make much impact on the energy efficiency of the home we live in. During this session, Sarah will share what is possible for renters, your rights and ways you can reduce your energy bills and emissions as a renter.
  • Homeowners will share on retrofitting a volume build and suburban home.
Two different homeowners will share their stories and learn about how they retrofitted their homes and any tips or advice they have.
