Deadly Love #2

Deadly Match

Rate this book
He was my demon when I was a child.
A hellish force protecting me from the evil that hid in the dark and preyed on the weak.
But I’m not that innocent girl anymore.
And he’s no longer my savior.
Filled with such cruelty, such madness, my survival instincts tell me I should run the other way.
But how can I, when my madness matches his own?
When his darkness sings to mine?
What happens when two lost souls are just meant to be?
When their ugly scars fit so perfectly together?
Some matches like my sister’s are created in love…
Other matches are just plain deadly.

Big scarred hitmen with stalker tendencies are my weakness, it’s not a secret 😏😌
And now Gray is one of my favorite 😍😍😍 i'm madly in love with this lethal yet fragile man!!
But the true revelation of this story is Zoey. OMFG ZOEY!! 😍😍😍
The little scared girl is not so little anymore and definitely not scared.
She is as lethal as his dad and lover, and that's a thing I really loved about this book: even big scary men need to be saved sometimes. And that's what Zoey did. She saved Gray from his demons.

The story is fast paced, emotional, adrenalinic and so f*cking spicy
🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
There are few heavy topics, but the authors managed them in a delicate way, never going too far with descriptions. Still it's a dark romance and there is violence, we are talking about kill€rs after all...
just so you know 😌

Anyway i totally recommend it, especially if you like possessive, obssesive heros, and sassy heroines who have them wrapped around their fingers 😂😍
And i can’t wait to read the next one in the series, because I know who is the General!! I freaking know he is him (read the book if you want to know what the hell i'm rambling about) 😌😂

We met these charas in book one Zoey more then Gray but they have a past together and let's day papa don't like it.

Zoey has been though hell since book 1 from her sickness to now living life but she isn't the same girl she has a darkness to her she played with death and she loved it. She is very wild and likes to play with many guys (I was meh with this). So she does tease and taunt Gray a man her father does train he is hands down he a killer. He has been pinning after her since he protected her in the homes ages ago. But he made himself a deal to not have anything with her she's to innocent. He can watch from afar. This doesn't go well with Zoey since she isn't innocent and I'll be honest I hated that Zoey was the one always going after Gray that's why the low rating. She was always begging for his attention. And Gray always pushing her away it got annoying alot. But didn't stop Zoey from offering herself to help catch the bad guys and kill them. Beside that mess we have to deal with alil family mess do to papa Alaric being protective of her. Also the Spiceeee!!! It was a slow burn on that end but it was spicy.

And I can't wait to read Cara and Hale story.

Until he finally said whatever and let her in and in on the mission since she once again bugged. 😒
Zoey wasn't my favorite she did things that could've gotten her hurt or killed and just brushed it off.

Low angst, Om drama (dates and flirting), No cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, no virgins

Recommend-maybe

Deadly Match is Zoey's book and we've already met her in her sister Layla's book Deadly Affair. Which was book 1 in The Deadly Love series. You don't necessarily have to read that but I'd advice it as then some of the content in this book will make more sense.

Oh boy Gray does have some major stalking issues in regards to Zoey but honestly I can't say that minded it. Gray is not the most people friendly person (the majority of which stems back to his childhood) but his relationship if a bit bloodthirsty at times was one of mutual respect. As well as one where they both saw each others darker side and embraced it. Yes it's a dark read (which to be fair appealed to me) but there's also a lot of love between these two characters. Another cracking read in this series that I loved reading

ARC Review
5⭐️
4🌶️

I knew the moment we were introduced to Zoey getting her own story in book 1, it was going to be one hell of a story. No longer a little girl; Zoey is a badass with a fiery spirit. The trauma she suffered at a young age made her the strong woman she is today.

And Gray, her dark knight. He’s obsessed with Zoey knowing he should stay away from her but cant. He has a dark past; and only wants the best for her. Zoey and Gray are made for each other, the understanding they have. Both experienced so much heartbreak and grief.

The spicy scenes are hot🥵🥵 but I honestly don’t expect any from these two at this point! Gray’s dirty talk/thoughts omf- talk about a girl’s wet dream.

This book is dark, and so emotionally raw at times. I loved how it sucks you in from the beginning till end. These authors are phenomenal together. I’m super excited to see the next instalment for this series!

Genre: Dark Romance
Spice: Yes 🥵 and then some
Series: Deadly Love, book 2

Thoughts - Pretty much picking up where book 1 ends, this book follows Zoey and Grey... um, yes, yes please and like book 1 continued to forgo all responsibility to read this. This is one hot and steamy book. Gray is our lovely, obsessive MMC and Zoey is the Laylas little sister all grown up. And Damm did zoey grow up! She give me big Lana from the kind fuck series vibes. I LOVE a female bad good guy. Please check your triggers because this story delves into child abuse. Again a true dark romance for me so definitely recommend if vour after some obsessive, stalker, violence, vengeance, filthy spice, knife play with a touch of blood play and a strong AF MFC.

Plot - Zoey is sick of mundane life. She does everything for everyone and accepts her loved ones without fault so when she's looking for a bit of danger she never expects to run into her fathers associate who she's forbidden to be around.

* Forbidden love
* Knife plav
* Vengeance
* Stalker/obsessive MMC
* That spice 🫠
* ⚠️trigger warnings - child abuse

"You've only just arrived, miss... Ivy Knight." - I see what you did there 😉😉

These two authors together are just so freaking epic and this series is perfect. I admit the role of dad/daughter between Alaric and Zoey is a little weird considering he's married to her sister Layla but who am I to judge? It took me a second to get my head around it but that was it.

Now let's talk about Gray/Ghost, what is there not to love about him? He's dark and mysterious and oh yeah he unalives people. There's a little back story with him and the sisters but Layla and Zoey don't seem to show they have any idea at first.

Zoey is brilliant, she's sassy, smart and has a streak of darkness that matches Gray's perfectly. The two of them together are like an explosion. The story is fast-paced, with a lot of steam and an equal amount of unaliving which I'm all here for, especially when it's the bad guys.

We also get to meet Hale, the guy from the next book which I always love when authors introduce you to at least one of the characters from the next book before you get to unfold their story when you read it.

Loving this entire series so much and can't wait for the next one.

I knew I picked the wrong job

Maybe it's all the hot stalker romance these 2 ladies are feeding me but I feel like I've been cheated in this life. Maybe I should've trained to be an assassin and then I'd have my very own stalker boyfriend....

I always knew Zoey was going to be a firecracker. Layla had that quiet steel core but Zoey is that sassy, bad@$$. I love that she sees and loves Gray, who deserves all the love. And can I say that Hale stole the show as a side character! I hope we get go know him soon. This was a great read with a much darker undertone so pay attention to the TW.

This was exactly what I needed! I devoured this book in a couple hours and my only complaint was I didn’t want it to end!! I loved Gray, he was so protective and loving of Zoey from the moment he met her as a little girl. The way he always looked after her and protected her even from afar and even when she didn’t know or remember him, it was so beautiful and heartwarming. And Zoey was the perfect heroine, she was fierce girl. Together they are the perfect bada$$ couple and soulmates. I love their love, their connection and how hot and dirty they get- They will leave your kindle on fire! This is definitely a 5⭐️ read and I can’t wait for Hale’s story.

Adrenaline rush with this book. Zoey and Gray are a unique match made in Heaven ? Lol.

Gray is a trained killer who hunts the most depraved people you’ll ever meet. Can’t help but like a dark anti-hero who takes down the bad guys. Imagine his surprise the young woman who he has a haunting past, Zoey, is as dark as he is. She wants to walk on the dark and take people down.

These two have some beautiful and very steamy and erotic encounters. Ice water dumped on my head didn’t help during those latter scenes.

Let’s say I love Zoey and her resourcefulness and fiery nature. She is a force and Gray has met his match with her.

Overall storyline will continue and I have my theories about who the top bad guy is. The next book is looking good.

* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

Katie and Ivy have quickly become my newest favorite author duo with their Deadly Love series. Please don’t get me wrong, they were already on my must read authors list individually and as a combo, their books are just as dynamite🔥. First of all, the plot line of Deadly Match was all-consuming and difficult to digest with all the darkness hidden beneath the layers of the foster system and then the duo infuses the purest form of childhood love smack in the middle. Fast forward many years, fate brings an all grown up Zoey and a hardened Gray together, and Deadly Match becomes the most awe-inspiring, heartbreaking and intoxicating romance ever❤️🖤❤️.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. am rating this book 3.5 stars. Okay so my reasoning for 3.5 star rating is I wasn't a fan of the main Heroine, to be honest when I first met Zoey i really liked her but than it Was like she was all fake and I just couldn't get onboard with her. Gray I loved him, also the ending for me really disappointed me. I wanted more. But I am excited to. See if hale will get a book.

Oh oh oh. Ever sense we meet Gray in book one I couldn't wait for this book. Zoey to get the full back story I recommend reading Deadly Affairs. It shows a bit of when these two meet. I loved how Zoey was a brat and would not take no for an answer. As she helps Gray with his demon things change for these two. I do love how it ended. And we got a sneak peak into Hales story. So ready for it!.

Sometimes you have to just live in the grey, not everyone is all good and not everyone is all bad. Little Zoey from Deadly Affair is all grown up and feels alive in the grey. Gray, like his eyes and name, is the epitome of mortally grey. Gray is exactly the type of guy that Alaric (yes Alaric is back but now he’s a protective, touch my daughter and I’ll kill you kind of dad 😍) wants to protect Zoey from. What Alaric doesn’t know is that Gray, has spent his life watching over Zoey and together they make quite the deadly match….

This book was amazing! It had all the spice but touched on some dark topics that are all too real in reality. I was so consumed from the first page and loved being able to see Alaric and Lucy again. If you love a story that will keep you turning the page but also experiencing the raw, realness of trauma and the effects it leaves this is for you. I am so grateful to have been given an arc of this story. After book 1 I knew I’d love it and I was not disappointed.

Deadly Match by K.A. Knight and Ivy Fox is a romantic suspense. This is the second book in the Deadly Love series.

I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the chemistry between Gray and Zoey. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Deadly Encounter so I can get Hale and Cara's story.

I would recommend this book if you like romantic suspense or contemporary romances.

These two characters together just captivated me. Loved their dynamic together, their chemistry, each others darkness spoke to the other's.

Gray and Zoey will have you drowning in their story, just like I did. I had to know what was going to happen next.

Gray's obsession with Zoey, can I just say that I was so down for. I so enjoy reading about guys just totally obsessed with their women. I find that so hot.

Giving her space because he was thinking that he was too dark for her, how I loved his surprise he got.

Overall this is an amazing read, one that I am sure you will enjoy!

Ivy Fox and K.A Knight are back again with book two in the Deadly Love series. I had the priviliage of Beta reading this book and I couldn't wait to dive into this deliciousness. Deadly Match is Gray & Zoey's story. Gray is a hired hitman and since childhood he has been watching over Zoey and protecting her, years later they reconnect, however Zoey does not realise who he is till much later on.
Zoey was so brave, I am certain that they would not be together if not for her bravery and honesty throughout the story whilst trying to get away from the pressures of what her parent's believe should be the way she lives her life.

This was a very enjoyable read and I was waiting on tenterhooks for the authors to upload more chapters for me to sink my teeth into. Gray and Zoey were perfect for each other, Gray as he was trying to protect Zoey and Zoey realising Gray was in need of affection even if he did not know it at the time, they were exactly what each other needed.

I was absolutely looking forward to Zoey and Gray’s story, since we got a peek at them from Deadly Affair and their story did not disappoint.

Gray is a killer trained to hunt down the most depraved of men. Zoey is an obsession he can’t help. Imagine his surprise when he finds out Zoey’s darkness could rival his own.

Zoey blew my mind!! I freakin loved her in this book. She definitely showed herself to be Gray’s perfect match. And Gray!! I loved him so much. Even as lethal and scary as he is, he’s proved to be just as fragile as anyone. They burned up the pages with their steamy chemistry.

I’m so ready for the next book, especially that little tease into Hale’s story.
October 14, 2022
Gray is dark-book-boyfriend material! I love a damaged, possessive MMC and Gray fits the bill perfectly. I loved the connection between him and Zoey. I love seeing character development while they work through trauma. I think everything surrounding Gray is what made me enjoy this story so much. Zoey is a great FMC who knows what she wants, she just needs to figure out how to get it-- which is easier with her personal obsessions vs her doing what she wants with her life but I loved that Gray always came first and that she wanted to help him more than anything!

I loved Deadly Affair, Layla and Alaric but Deadly Match really took it to the next level for me. I feel like I enjoyed Zoey, Gray and Hale with their dynamics a lot more and the spice was so hot.

...and I am so, so, SO EXCITED for Deadly Encounter!! As soon as the characters were introduced I was crossing my fingers that they were next. I feel like it'll just keep getting better!

1st person/dual pov
Spice 5/5 - seriously hot and kinky AF

This. This story is exactly what I was hoping it would be and then so much more!! After finishing book one and getting a peek into what this one would be about, I knew that this one was going to be a favorite, and I couldn't have been more right! Zoey has been through so much in her short life and it has caused her to grow into this tough-as-nails woman who feels at home in the darkness of the world. Then we have Gray. The dangerous and mysterious man Zoey is drawn to in the shadows.
I knew as soon as his character was introduced that he was going to be dark and exhilarating to read about. He's what I love about these morally grey heroes/antiheroes because while he is without a doubt dangerous and has no issue "unaliving" someone there is also this side of him that is super protective and caring. Deep down under all of the violence and death there is a man who has so much love to give, but it's buried deep under years of trauma and living such a solitary life away from any kind of affection. Of course, Zoey sees through all of his barriers and is determined to get to the heart that beats within him. And if there's one thing Gray has a weakness for it's Zoey.
I feel like Zoey had already done a lot of healing throughout book one so by the time we get to this part of her story there isn't much left for her to deal with. She's at the point where she knows who she is and has dealt with most of the pain or trauma in her past. Which puts her in the perfect position to be there for Gray. His job and thirst for revenge align at just the right time as Zoey enters his life in a way that he didn't expect but ultimately needs. Together they fight to take down evil and battle the ghosts that continue to haunt Gray's heart. I like that the majority of the healing and growth in character focuses on Gray over Zoey because for me it highlights just how far he comes in the end as well as how far Zoey had already come from book one.
Now let me touch on the spice real quick... Holy Crap... I wanted dirty, filthy, boundary-pushing, jaw-dropping smut, and Jesus these ladies delivered in spades! Zoey is down for absolutely anything as long as Gray is leading the way. But Gray... this man is insatiable!! He also gives zero F***s about who, what, when, where, or why it goes down lol! He's so filthy and that mouth of his - sweet lord that mouth alone could make a girl weak at the knees listening to the naughty things spilling from it! He is also a certain level of cocky that I quickly became obsessed with. He knows he's a badass, he knows he can hold his own and probably come out on top in any situation, yet he doesn't go around and outwardly flaunt it. Then the one time he does sort of flaunt it openly, well it's so unexpected and perfect it just made me love him even more! That protective she's mine, touch her and you die, no one is taking my girl from me attitude gets me every single time.
Oh, and if you're a big fan of violence, torture, and death in your stories then get ready to enjoy the hell out of this one because there is a ton of it! I expected dark and this took it darker than I anticipated but I loved every minute of it! I really really enjoyed the first book but this one surpassed it by miles!
Under no circumstances skip past the TW for this book because trust me there are quite a few things in here that could be triggering for some people. But if you can stomach them or aren't triggered by anything then you have to give this a read. It is exactly what dark romance should be and there's nothing I can think of that could have made it any better, it's that good!
And that sneak at the next book - YES!! I was hoping that it would be about a certain character and to see I was right has me so excited! But that pairing that's coming up has me salivating over all the possibilities! It cannot get here fast enough!

If you loved the first book in this series then you are about to be blown away by Gray and Zoey's story! It's painful, dark, and an emotional ride you can't stop till the end.

These two authors have blown my mind with this one. They took one of the hardest things to read about and gave a very painful but beautiful story in this dark romance. So if you have triggers make sure to check the TW before you dive into this incredibly suspenseful and dark world.

My heart totally ached for Gray in this story. He captured my interest in book one as the scrawny teenage boy that wasn't afraid of Alaric. Once you dive into his story you feel your heart clench with the pain of what he has gone through his whole life. Yes he might come off as a bit of a stalker when it comes to Zoey, but his intentions were pure wanting her to be safe and have a good life. So yes I totally overlooked all his crazy behavior because I fell for the lost boy who becomes what the monsters will fear now. He's dark, ruthless, and a trained assassin now, but he's so much more when it comes to Zoey his little doe. Buckle up because his story is intense and heartbreaking to say the least.

Zoey was a bit of a shock with how she decided she wanted to embrace her darkness or death since she has lived through losing her mother and brother at the hands of her abusive father. Then narrowly succumbing to death herself from a brain tumor. She's fought to keep Alaric her adopted father and her sister Layla happy but she's not the happy girl they see and seeks out dangerous things for a rush. So imagine the one man she's told to stay away from becomes her own obsession of sorts without knowing exactly who he is from her past. Watching her fall in love with Gray and help him through all his struggles was the beautiful part of this story because the nature of this world they live in is dark and haunting on one's soul. She brings the light he needs and along the way finds herself in the process.

I had the pleasure to read this early and it completely blew my mind and broke my heart at times. It's one of those books that will leave impression on you after you read it. It's dark, raw, and addictive till the very end and it sets up the next book perfectly. I can't wait to see what happens next and I'm totally addicted to this dark chaotic world these authors have painted now. I highly recommend this book if you love dark romance or want a story that consumes you till the very end leaving you wanting more. It's a definite must read and a 5 plus stars for sure!

Deadly Match is the second book in the Deadly Love Series. Each book follows a different set of characters and can be read as a stand-alone but to get the most of the story we suggest reading the books in order.

Jesus friggin’ Christ! These ladies continue to blow me away with their co-writes. 🔥 This book was phenomenal!! Following Zoey after book one, I was really curious how her story would play out. The pieces we get of her in Deadly Affairs are from when she was fairly young and still seemed fairly naive …but in this book, we see a sweet demure Zoey one minute while she’s hiding her true desires behind flower print dresses, to her being a weapon wielding boss babe who owns her actions and enjoys toying with.. err well handing the bad boys their asses. I loved her support and loyalty to Gray. I loved the connection they shared. And their particular ‘history’ hit you in all the feels.

Then there's my poor traumatized Gray. My totally off the rails obsessed with Zoey, Gray. I had so many feeling for him. His back story broke my heart, but his reasons behind his choices were so selfless. He went through so much, and even though he kept some secrets from Zoey, after they cemented their bond.. there was no letting go. Ever. They loved and they loved hard... and quite often 🥵 Gray definitely values his control but he knows Zoey can break him and she doesn't even know it. Gray was a top notch possessive book boyfriend and I am totally here for it!

I felt like this book outshined the first one in the best possible ways and I can’t wait to see where Katie and Ivy take Deadly Encounters! I always really enjoy predicting who our main antagonist is, and while this one wasn’t a given I did kinda guess, but it still kept you on your toes and questioning “who did it?!” We were left with a few unanswered questions in this book but I’m sure all will be revealed by the end of the next book. I’m totally ready for Hale, with all his sociopathic and psychotic tendencies and sweet sweet Cara whose not going o know what hit her!! 🤭😍

I had a few problems these last couple of weeks and my mind wasn't in the right place.
I couldn't concentrate on reading so I couldn't start this book as soon as it arrived on my kindle.
I was sad and I couldn't focus so I thought that I needed to feel better to enjoy this book.
And here I am, super happy for having the chance to read this book.
These two authors had left me wanting for more after finishing the first book from this series and oh boy... They are brutal.
K.A. Knight and Ivy Fox, these two will take you hostage...
Just grab one book from them and you'll see. Lol
Their writing is raw and wild, intense, dangerous, and hot...
Deadly Match is their latest release and it's the second book from the Deadly Love series.
This book explores the lives of Gray and Zoey.
But one advice. Read Deadly Affair first. Is mandatory that you do so. You'll see why.
Gray didn't have an easy childhood. He was put in a group home where he suffered tremendously.
He had a huge heart and did everything in his power to protect Zoey, another sweet girl that was put in that home for a few weeks.
Now, years had passed and he was a badass. He's a Hitman and when he sees Zoey again, sparks fly.
But here the thing, Zoey's dad threatened him if he so much as got close to her or he would kill him, but will that stop him?
Zoey was this sweet little girl and then boom, they grew up, and now...
She's a badass that doesn't take shi*** from anyone.
When she sets her eyes on Gray she doesn't remember him right away but then...
And guys, this book was something else...
It had all the components to be a masterpiece and it was so much more.
Superb plot, is very well written, super engaging, dark, and hot...
The story progressed in a way that made me read it in one sitting...
I was so into the story that I didn't see the time and when The End appeared it was 6 am...
Who needs to sleep anyway?
This book gives us love, loyalty, and desire as well as demons, crime, and drama.
And the hot stuff... Lord have mercy...
It was amazing to have some answers that book one left unanswered.
Overall it was an amazing book that I loved every page.
Great book guys, what's next?  I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

He was my demon when I was a child. A hellish force protecting me from the evil that hid in the dark and preyed on the weak. But I am not a that innocent girl anymore. And he's no longer my savior. Filled with such cruelty, such madness, my survival instincts tell me I should run the other way. But how can I, when my madness matches his own? When his darkness sings to mine? What happens when two lost souls are just meant to be? When their ugly scars fit so perfectly together? Some matches like my sisters are created in love....Other matches are just plain deadly.

This is the second book in the Deadly Love Series. You have to read Deadly Affair or you will be lost reading this book. We met Gray in the first book and I was so excited to get my hands on this book. This is Gray and Zoey's story and you are going to love this story. You get the back story to how these two met in Deadly Affair. Zoey might be considered a brat. Well I think she is a brat and the girl never takes no for an answer. But, she has this really brave side that shines through and if she is going to help Gray she is going to have to be very brave. Gray is a man who carries around many demons and Zoey is the one who is going to help him with those demons. He is a hired hit man who has been watching over and protecting Zoey ever since. After some years have passed they reconnect and Zoey really doesn't realize at first who he is at all. That is about all of the story that I can tell you. I do not want to give away any spoilers. I can tell you thought that I loved this book just as much as I did the first one. I loved Zoey and Gray and the story they had to tell.

Dark, twisted, and unabashedly hot. This book has stalkers, assassins, revenge, passion, and so much more. While this is the second book in this series, you don’t need to read the first to enjoy this one.

“I told you that death and I are old friends. It feels like home to me, and I can’t go back. I can’t be the perfect little girl they all want me to be.”

Zoey was the sweet little girl from the first book. But now she’s all grown up and not so sweet anymore. We find out exactly how much she remembers from her past and how it’s affected her - causing her to battle between what everyone expects of her and what she wants to do.

“I truly am the ghost they call me, only coming to life around her. And I will drag her into the grave with me.”

Gray has been trained to be a killer since he was a child, but his sordid past is exactly what draws him to Zoey. She has a darkness that only he can see and while a part of him wants to protect her from that, a larger part wants her all to himself. But can he fight his own demons or will he draw her even deeper into the darkness?

This is very dark, so check your triggers, but it is totally worth it. I loved the in depth view into all the characters and the arc they go through to find their own place in the world. Plus, the spice! I don’t know what I expected, but the way these two are drawn to each other is absolutely delicious.

Zoey is not afraid of going after what she wants and that’s so much fun. She’s confident, determined, and fearless. Pair her with Gray and you have a recipe for madness in all the best ways.

“If she keeps tempting the devil, sooner or later, he’ll come for her.”

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

What is with morally grey men with stalker vibes that always has us coming back for more. First Alaric in Deadly Affair now we get Gray.

Gray is a trained assassin who feels broken and empty in every way possible. He doesn't "have a heart" and that makes him good at his job. That is until he runs into Zoey. A trouble girl from his past that he swore to protect at all costs. Little does she know he always been there hiding in the shadows, protecting her from a distance. Once they reconnect at a party, he knows he should stay away because her dad, his mentor/trainer will kill him if he touches her, but they can't fight this pull they have to one another. She knows he feels familiar and can't figure out why but will push his boundaries non the less.

These two are perfect for each other. They always have each other's backs and provides what the other needs. Gray feels like he doesn't deserve love for what he's done but Zoey won't give up and proves to him he is so much more than a killer. That the people he took out deserved it. She helps break down his walls and helps him heal. And Gray helps Zoey show and become who she really is. She's been struggling with this darker part of herself for some time now after having to constantly face death. He gives her an outlook that she's crazy good at to harness her darkness and watches her grow. They definitely make a deadly match!

Thank you, K.A. Knight and Ivy Fox, for and ARC Copy of Deadly Match. I cannot wait for Hales story with Cara. Sweet, innocent Cara!!

Layla’s sister, Zoey, is all grown up. We were introduced to Grey in Deadly Affair. It may have seemed like he just came into Zoey’s life, but the truth unfolds in Deadly Match. This is Zoey and Grey’s story. A tragic, broken, dark, and kismet story.

They call him Ghost because he should be dead. Only one thing has kept him alive and fighting all these years. Her. He has tried to keep his distance, but fate has other plans. When Zoey first laid eyes on Grey she sees a familiarity in him. Something that draws her to him. She can’t resist pushing his buttons. He knows the only standing in his way of being near her is her father, Alaric. He is the only person deadlier than Grey himself.

🖤 This is another dark romance that picks up after the end of book one. I knew Grey was going to have had a troubled past, but I was not prepared for what this book revealed. To hear what he had to endure is sickening, and to know what lengths he will go through to protect Zoey from the same is even more heartbreaking.

❤️ Zoey comes back into his life and unravels the cage he has built around himself. The darkness has consumed him, but Zoey is there is the dark to save him. The only thing standing in their way is her father. This was a bit a slow burn, which I love. The tension and fallout between Alaric, Zoey, and Grey was a bit of a nail biter. Knight and Fox make a great writing team. I am loving this series and can’t wait to read Hale’s story next.

Where do I even begin? K.A. Knight and Ivy Fox have written another 5-star read and I’m telling you right now, READ IT. I was so engrossed in this story that every time I had to put it down I was counting the seconds until I could pick it back up. I am obsessed and this book is officially one of my favorite books of the year. You need it in your life, I’m just saying.

I am in love with Zoey. I’m obsessed just like Gray. I’m loving her confidence and her smart mouth. I love how she gives Gray everything right back. I am infatuated with her need to get Grays's attention. She is hands down one of my favorite characters. You know when the male character is obsessed and the female is always iffy with the idea. Well, not Zoey, she knows exactly what she wants and she will do whatever she needs to get what she wants.

I think it’s pretty clear to me that I love Gray. My heart hurt for Gray and all the things that he’s not only witnessed but the things that have happened to him. His need to protect and need to care for Zoey is superior. Once again, he is now one of my favorite characters.

If you read this book and don’t have half of the book highlighted, I don’t think we were reading the same thing. If you haven’t read Deadly Affair yet you need to. If you have read it then you need to read Deadly Match right now! The plot, the characters, and the smut were all top-notch! This is one of my favorite books from K.A. Knight and Ivy Fox. I can't wait to read Hale’s story.

Gray And Zoey Are Absolutely Perfect!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review

Holy smokes these two have done it again. This is Gray and Zoey’s long awaited story and it was just as phenomenal as Alaric and Layla’s story. Definitely a bit darker because both Gray and Zoey are full of darkness from pasts that haunt them, even if Zoey can’t remember exactly what some of her past entails.

These two are definitely the perfect pair, they compliment and complete each other in every way. Gray has always had a protective and possessive nature towards Zoey and spends a lot of his time stalking her, but Zoey finds she loves to push and test his buttons and restraint. But these two are destined to be together so when he finally stops denying that they’re meant to be together the heat gets turned way up between these two. And when they realize the love they have for each other is endless it will leave you breathless. But their story isn’t as simple as that, there’s danger lurking for these two and when they pair up to fight back and get revenge against the darkness out there they’re a force to be reckoned with.

This book had it all, steam, stalking, possessive and protective alpha male, feisty and strong FMC, danger, suspense, action, and everything else. If you loved Alaric and Layla you are going to absolutely love Gray and Zoey. Seriously can’t wait to read the next book in this series!!! Highly recommend this book 100%!!
