New milestone reached 🚀 In the past few years we have converted over 100’000 lamps into efficient ones and are on our way to save the same amount of energy that a nuclear power plant produces. According to kernenergie.ch, the construction and operation of a nuclear power plant costs over $3 billion. This comparison shows the tremendous value that is being built at LEDCity AG for our society. We owe it all to our incredible team, working hard together to achieve the goal of replacing a nuclear power plant. You are the best! Also, a big thank you to our investors and partners who support us in our mission. To date we have raised only $800k from investors and received support from Technologiefonds, Klimastiftung Schweiz and Credit Suisse. Loved it to read all the yearly recaps the past 2 months and seeing how the startup ecosystem is evolving. To diversify your content, I put our recap into February. Team LEDCity AG has also seen a lot of progress. Even though we have concentrated a lot on internal optimizations in the last few months to optimize scalability. We're proud to have achieved some incredible milestones from completing successful projects abroad to saving a cumulative 7200 tons of CO2 and upgrading 50’000 inefficient lights. Here are some of the highlights from our year: - Increased revenue from 2.7MCHF to 4.3MCHF - Built teams in Spain and Germany - Grew our team to over 40 talented individuals - Educated the market through media coverage with ZHAW, Startup Radar, NZZ and many more. Thank you! But perhaps our biggest accomplishment was the launch of new products, developed by our incredible team of engineers. They tackled the biggest problems in the lighting industry – system complexity and inefficiency - and created a magical software that automates the entire installation and programming process while having the lowest energy consumption on the planet. And on top of that, we're collecting a wealth of data that will be of interest to companies looking to optimize other processes and building systems (apart of lighting). It comes at the right time when energy costs are higher than ever. And the best part about the system is that we're constantly collecting data and using remote software updates to make the system better over time, like your Tesla.
