SHAYRI
– a new breath in a rapidly growing modern Ukrainian show business
A bright and passionate singer from Ukraine who is winning the hearts of the audience with her high-quality dancing music. Shayri´s first album includes 13 songs, where three of them have been filmed. Her songs are very popular in Ukraine and a remix track of one of her songs became one of the best TOP-20 Ukrainian language tracks on KISS FM Radio.
Shayri and her band/team is now working on a new album that they are going to record in Stockholm, where Shayri temporarily stays because of the war in Ukraine. Thus, the first song in the album will be about the war. This song is about her own emotions, pain, and sufferings because of the war, and like her inner begging to stop it.

“My stage name absolutely reflects my inner state, the project's core message, and the music we create together with my team. First of all, let me tell you about the name, why I have it, and what does it mean. SHAYRI – is a woman’s name which means romantic poems about love and prayer for love. This all is very symbolic as all of my texts are about love, and there are vivid eastern motives in music sound and music arrangements.”
Shayri is part of the asylum residency initiated and maintained by Musikcentrum Öst under support from Stim and Postkodlotteriet, in close collaboration with SWAN (Swedish Artist Residencies Network) and Artists at Risk.
