Do you aspire to become a comic book or manga artist? Are you interested in learning to draw better and faster? Comics and Cartooning is a 5 week course focused on drawing comics and learning how to draw cartoons. Students will learn the basics of drawing characters and backgrounds using both Western and Manga/Anime techniques. Students will write, draw, and publish a comic book or manga using the zine format. A zine is a miniature magazine used by artists to self publish illustrated books such as comics. A zine can be made by anyone using materials as simple as pencil and paper to more elaborate materials such as cardstock and thread.

All materials are provided. A makeup session will be provided only if needed the week following the course end date.

The course will also be offered additional sessions during the semester.

We support families and want arts education to be accessible to all. Please reach out if you have a need. Discounts and scholarships may be available upon request. Contacts [email protected] for more information.
