I found this book to be short but at the same time perfect for the whole story, Farrah is the veterinary assistant in a small town in Alaska and she meets Cooper (who is one of the firefighters of the town) when he brings his cat for a check up at the vet, we can say that they felt an attraction almost immediately and here I don't care about that to be honest. He has to go to fight a forest fire and leaves his cat in the care of a friend who is also a friend of Farrah's and she is the one who ends up taking care of his cat and since they are also neighbors it is much easier (Farrah doesn't know until a little bit into the story) and this is where their "story" begins, I liked that touch of friends with benefits given the story of the two which I must say is deep and especially Farrah's contains a heavy theme so you have to read it carefully (domestic abuse); You see how they fall in love but for some things they just leave it as friends with benefits, I didn't see much drama in the story, I felt it fast but it worked for me and when these two finally have their happily ever after it was really good to read.

Thanks to J. H. Croix and Wildfire Marketing Solutions the arc in exchange for my honest review 📚!!

Take Me Now by J.H. Croix was a sweet small town romance with some unexpected complicated feels. Farrah and Cooper both has broken past and they are both scared to fall in love. But fate brought them together and love heals everything.

This is set in an Alaskan small town that is base of a large crew of hotshot firefighters. Cooper just shifted here and he meets Farrah in the vet clinic where he took his rescure cat Humpty for a check up. They happen to be neighbors too. Their chemistry is instant. But are they ready for more?

This story was low in angst and drama. It was simply about two hearts falling in love with each other. Cooper is a great guy who was betrayed badly in his last relationship and this is his fresh start. He has everything you expect from a firefighter hero. He is protective and has a strong sense of morality. He fell first for Farrah. I was so irritated and annoyed with his mother who kept on pushing him to give his cheating ex fiance another chance! He made his feelings and stand very clear and I don't appreciate how he was blindsided at one point. Farrah came from an abusive house and she doesn't trust easily. She carries a lot of resentment and anger towards her mother even though she loves her mother. She was more reluctant to open her heart but Cooper showed her how amazing it could be to have a partner.

I feel they didn't spend a lot of time together outside the sexy moments to build up the emotional connection. Their issues were handled separately not together. I missed that connection with the characters. It also had so many secondary characters who took up a lot of space. That made me feel lost sometimes and also took away from the fluency of the plot.

This was an adorable story! I loved these two characters and had a lot of fun with the story. I loved the way that the story built and flowed. It was easy to get into and stay engaged throughout the book. It was cute and I loved the grumpy cat as well. We get to see both of them come out of their shells and let down their walls after they have started their friends/neighbors with benefits relationship. There was plenty going on in the story to hold my attention the entire time and I loved the tidbits about Alaska and about both of their jobs. I really enjoyed this one and am looking forward to more in the series.

Take Me Now is a fantastic small town romance book and also book eight in the Light My Fire Series and here we meet firefighter Cooper and vet Farrah I absolutely adore their first encounter of each other and the pesky cat who Cooper ended up adopting plus it gave him a way to keep Farrah in his sights despite never wanting to love again.

Both are scared of being hurt in their lives after a bad history but I'm so glad they take a chance on each other it's definitely a humble, fun and a great storyline.

Cooper just moved to Alaska from NC and is a firefighter. He also got talked into adopting a orange cat. He brought him into the vet to get checked out and he meets Farrah. The sweet blonde vet tech.

Farrah moved from San Francisco to Alaska with her mom. Leaving SF after her abusive step dad died and both her mom and herself decided on a new location and chapter. Farrah also knew at a young age in her teens that she would never give herself to someone and would never let someone control her like her stepdad did to her mom.

Cooper left NC after finding out his fiancé cheated on him with his friend. He also vowed to never fall in love again.

Cooper gets called to a fire so he leaves his cat to the secretary. Well his cat and her cat didn’t like each other so Farrah offers to her friend to watch the cat until Cooper comes back. Little does she know that he’s her new next door neighbor. The connection between both was strong and they both decide on a friends with benefits relationship.

A quick read, but what a story, and anytime the meet-cute is with a cat, I am in. Cooper and Farrah meet as she is taking care of his recently rescued cat Humpty. The attraction is there, but both are anti relationship at the moment. As Cooper, a hotshot firefighter, gets called out, Farrah ends up with Humpty and discovers she and Cooper are neighbors. Will they give in to the attraction?

Farrah moved to Willow Brook, Alaska when her mother moved there. Farrah is a vet tech at the Vet Hospital. Farrah grew up with an abusive stepfather and she vowed she would never let her emotions rule her. Farrah is just getting on better terms with her mother. Farrah was named after Farrah Fawcett. Cooper is a hotshot firefighter in Willow Brook. He moved to Willow Brook after he found out his ex-fiancée was cheating with his friend. Cindy’s excuse was that Cooper was not paying attention to her after his father died. Cooper vowed he would never fall in love or be in a relationship again. Cooper has a cat named Humpty and he took him to the vet. Cooper was immediately attracted to Farrah. Cooper got a call out to fight a fire in the wilderness. He didn’t have anyone to watch Humpty. Maisie the receptionist at the fire department said she would take Humpty but her cat didn’t like Humpty so she had Farrah watch him. When Cooper came back and found out that Farrah had Humpty he needed her number and her address. Farrah and Cooper live across the hall from each other in the apartment. Farrah and Cooper had outrageous chemistry and they decided they they would just be friends with benefits no strings attached. The more time that Cooper and Farrah spent together the more feelings started to develop. They tried to not notice their feelings until Cooper came back from a fire sick and nobody knew where he was and Farrah found him in bed sick. Farrah made Cooper come to her place so she could take care of him. The next day she realized that she loves Cooper and she doesn’t know what to do. Cooper meanwhile was recuperating and realized that he loves Farrah. Farrah came home for lunch and confessed her feelings to Cooper. Cooper confessed his feelings to Farrah. Will Cooper and Farrah be able to make a relationship work? Will Farrah tell Cooper about the abuse that she had endured? Will Cooper and Farrah find love and happiness in Willow Brook?

What more can a reader ask for? Cooper and Farrah meet at the veterinary clinic where Farrah is a vet tech. Humpty, Cooper's rescue cat, needs personal attention for his problem. There is just something sparking between the humans that both want to explore, but there are reasons not to for each other.

Cooper gets called to a fire on his way home from the vet appointment. He doesn't have anyone to watch Humpty. He asks Maisie, the dispatcher for the Willowbrook Fire and Police Departments, if she knows of anyone. Maisie tells him she will manage the cat, no problem. Well, her cat refuses to make friends with Humpty, and Maisie asks her friends at the ladies' poker night if they know of anyone knows of anyone else to take Humpy. Farrah gladly agrees to watch him.

Once Cooper returns home, he asks Maisie if he can follow her home to get Humpty. Maisie tells him Farrah has him since her cat refused to play nice.
Cooper is pleasantly surprised to discover that Humpty loves Farrah and that she is his neighbor. Humpty is living the best life between the two apartments as his humans are getting better acquainted.

Of course, both Farrah and Cooper want more from this relationship, but they have reasons not to commit. Why do couples always need their friends to explain that they are already in love? Friends can see what a person is hoping to hide.

Once again, J.H. Croix gives us another great happy ending.

Back to Willow Brook for all the small town charm and big feels that J.H. Croix cultivates in her stories.

Take Me Now is the 8th book in the Light My Fire series and while not necessary to enjoy Cooper and Farrah's story, I do like to suggest reading all the books in the series since you will meet a lot of other characters and I just like understanding backstories when the MCs are having moments with some of the secondary characters.

Farrah and Cooper have this instant attraction that definitely shouldn't take place in a vet clinic over a gland expression but you know what... that is exactly what happened. Cooper is new to Willow Brook- looking for a fresh start after the loss of his father and ultimately the break down of his engagement. Now he's given up on love and is only after casual. Farrah is another transplant to Alaska- she and her mom moved after her abusive step father's passing, also in search of a fresh start. Because of her past, Farrah is not one for relationships at all so the connection she felt with Cooper was overwhelming but consuming all the same.

I really like the way that J.H. shaped this story- it has a little big of everything in it. Cooper and Farrah's attraction to each other initially makes them pursue a friendship since they have so many mutual friends and Willow Brook is such a small town. The tension between these two is heavy and wound tight but their is also this lightness, ease and humor with their relationship- especially where Humpty, Cooper's cat, is concerned. Traumas of relationships past plague them both making my heart ache and while those scars do cause a little bit of angst between them, things work themselves out without too much drama or heartache.

This isn't a super long story so the timeline moves fairly quickly- would I have loved for some more aspects of these two to be explored more? Sure- but for the most part I felt like their story came together nicely and I enjoyed the experience of slipping away into their world for a bit!

This is book eight in The Light My Fire series and it is Farrah and Cooper’s story and it is definitely a must read. Cooper is now in Willow Bank in Alaska and is a hotshot firefighter and he had also adopted a cat called Humpty that he had to take to the vets and that is where he meets Farrah and even though he is instantly attracted to her he had been badly burned before and trust was now a big issue. Farrah now lives in Willow Bank with her mom after her abusive father died and trust is now a big issue for her after everything that she had been through but she loves her job as a vet tech and she is also trying to move forward with her life. When Farrah and Cooper meet there was an instant attraction and strong chemistry but both have been betrayed before and relationships are not something that either wanted and then they find out that they are next door neighbours so they ended up having a friends with benefits arrangement which suits them both. The connection that they feel is so real and intense and they are so perfect together but will they be able to communicate and trust each other if they are ever going to stand a chance of happiness and a future together. Wow I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting because the storyline takes you in right from the first page and kept your attention throughout and it completely hooked me and was so addictive. I absolutely love this book and series and I definitely recommend you read them and you will not be disappointed.

Book #8 in the Light My Fire series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA, It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.
I met Farrah in a previous book in this series and I am thrilled she gets her HEA with Cooper. She is beautiful on the outside and calm and efficient on the inside. Alaska is her fresh start as she and her mom work on renewing their relationship. Cooper is also newer to town as part of one of the hot shot crews. He moved there from North Carolina after his life imploded and he is also looking for a fresh start. Both MCs are dealing with issues relating to trust. Both have been hurt in different ways. Neither is looking for love or a relationship.
Their meet-cute is unique and had me giggling. When they realize they are neighbors, they quickly add benefits to the arrangement. Their chemistry is sizzling and leaps off the page. Their intimate scenes are steamy and open door. I loved the emotional connection they formed with each other before they even realized it. I also love that they don’t have the big third act break up. Instead, their “moment” is more about overcoming fears, admitting trust, and recognizing the deep feelings they have for each other. This was a very enjoyable low angst read with the right amount of heat and some nice romantic moments.

3.5⭐ I enjoyed this book but I felt that there was something missing.

Farrah and her mom moved to a small town in Alaska to get away from their messed up life in San Francisco. She works as a vet Tech at the local clinic and is working on reconnecting with her mom, as well as helping her mom get past her abusive dead (second) husband. All the while Farrah is trying to come to terms with and trying to get past it herself. Cooper relocates to Alaska as a hotshot firefighter, and is also looking for a fresh start, running away from pain, embarrassment, and local gossip.

Both characters are learning to live with what happened to them, and decidedly are determined to stay single, for their own reasons. When they first meet, their chemistry is off the charts. The ensuing intimate scenes were steamy. But I wish there had been more conversation between the two main characters, outside of the intimate scenes. Just to clarify, I'm not saying that there is no conversation between the two main characters, I just wish there had been more than what was in the book. Both characters were dealing with their problems, but I wish more of their growing had happened together.

This was my first time reading J.H. Croix. And I can see by the other reviews that she is well liked, 4 stars and higher. I may need to try another of her stories.

Thank you J.H. Croix and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for this ARC. The above is my own and personal opinion.

There isn't a book that this author writes that I don't want to devour in one sitting.
Oh no. J.H. Croix has done it again and when I knew she had a new book coming my way, I was on cloud nine.
Her writing is amazing, super intense, heartfelt, and hot...Did I say Hot???
Take Me Now is her latest release and it's the eighth book from the Light My Fire series.
This book explores the lives of Farrah and Cooper.
Farrah is this sweet, funny girl, with a heart bigger than the world.
Despite being this cheerful, her past kept dictating her future.
Cooper is a firefighter. He's hot as hell, with a big heart. a heart that was stomped and broken, so what better way than to start fresh?
When he takes his cat to the vet...
OMG, these two were perfect for each other.
Both wanted a fresh start and ended up meeting each other because of a cat...
I love a book that can capture my attention with just a few words, and this one did it.
It was a short book, but so full of emotions and love.
Love the fact that they found solace in each other.
I was so into the book that I didn't time pass and when I realized, the book ended and I didn't sleep a thing...
Who needs sleep anyway??
Love the chemistry these two share and the hot stuff...
JH Croix, you nailed it again. This series is getting better by the book and I can't wait for the next book to arrive.
There will be a next book right??

Ms. Croix delivers a riveting strangers to lovers romance that will pull on your heartstrings and have you riding an emotional rollercoaster while at the same time needing an icy drink. Take Me Now had me loving the small-town vibe with Cooper and Farrah. Who knew that moving to a new town and adopting a cat would have your world spinning in the right direction? That is precisely what happened to Cooper, the new firefighter who moved to a small town in Alaska. Little did he know that the vet tech, Farrah, would turn his head and start a little fire in his heart when his cat needed to see the vet. The only thing is he had been burned before by his ex and is not looking for a relationship. Farrah is a feisty, smart-mouthed woman who has not had the best life growing up. She is still haunted by what happened with her stepdad and mother. She keeps her heart guarded but there is something about Cooper, who also happens to be her new neighbour, that gets the fire in her burning. The banter is too funny at times but it's the steamy and sweet Cooper that will have you swooning over him.
Their story is gripping and had my full attention right from the start. Ms. Croix has a way with words and details that will have you feeling that you are right there in their small town with them. The group of friends that surround them added even more fun and good times to the story.

Sometimes it feels like the universe just knows what I need and sends a book my way where I just get lost in between the the characters , their story and all that comes with it , thank you universe ! ❣️📚

Afresh and her mum move to Willow Brook , Alaska ( I’m already won over ) for a fresh start and boy do they need it they both need to heal from trauma and her I want to thank the author for raising awareness against domestic violence alit of folk shy away from it , so thank you again .
So Farrah is the local vet tech and when Cooker comes in with Humpty 🐈‍⬛ I just both cat and owner have it bad fur the tech 🥰

Coooer is a delicious, delectable speciMAN and he’s a hot shot firefighter 🔥he also has a good heart I jean help he’s adopted a rescue cat 🐾🐈‍⬛❣️ and I think he knew his heart was in trouble when he and Humpty met Farrah for the first time . Yes he’s sceptical, his fiancé cheated on him with his friend when he was at his most vulnerable after loosing his dad I mean who died that 🤬

The competition between cat and man was fierce ❣️🤣but what a beautiful story to be a part of , it was one filled with love , healing , forgiveness and redemption! I’ve always wanted to go to Alana , my bucket list dream , I love cats and was involved in feral care , I love a good cup of coffee so this was pure perfection for me !

Cooper moved to Willow Brook after discovering his fiance was cheating with his best friend. Cooper is a hot shot fire fighter, single, and owner of a cat named Humpty. Farrah is a vet tech who moved with her mother to Willow Brook after her abusive stepfather passed away. When Cooper is called out to a fire, Farrah ends up watching Humpty. Cooper is surprised that Farrah is his neighbor. Cooper and Farrah agree to take their attraction to each other to the next level, but Farrah is adamant that she doesn't want a relationship. What happens when Cooper and Farrah's casual relationship turns real with real feelings of love? Will Farrah push Cooper away when she begins to feel too much for him? Will Farrah realize she can't run from her feelings when Cooper falls ill? Can Cooper and Farrah help heal each other's past hurts and find their happily ever after? Can Farrah and her mother repair their relationship? I loved Take Me Now by J.H. Croix. Cooper and Farrah are a great couple with amazing chemistry. I love how they work through their issues and their feelings grow as they spend time together. I would highly recommend getting Take Me Now and the other books in the Light My Fire series by J.H. In the past, I’ve somewhat enjoyed some of this author’s books and really others, leaving me a bit ambivalent regarding whether or not I’d read more of her work. But I love her covers, and they keep pulling me back to give more of her stories a chance. After some near misses, Take Me Now was a hit with me.

You can read this as a standalone title. I’ve only read one or two of the series’ previous books, and while the cast of secondary characters is large, there was just enough backstory that it wasn’t a stumbling block for me, yet it wasn’t an information dump, either. The author hit a home run with the character arcs for our hero and heroine separately, as there was a lot for both Farrah and Cooper to work through from their painful pasts. And I can also say her writing was solid in this book. The only issue I had with the story was that it seemed they overcame their individual struggles, but we didn’t see as much of their relationship growing beyond the spicy scenes. What we saw seemed more superficial, so delving deeper into the emotional connection would have elevated this story for me. That said, when the chips were down, they supported each other and had each other’s backs which gave their relationship a solid foundation to build upon.

In my opinion, there's nothing better than a sexy firefighter because seriously, hotness & heroism is a mouth watering combination, and Take Me Now has that in spades. Cooper is our yummy firefighter who has just moved to Alaska after his relationship took a permanent hit, and it left him a tad jaded of course. Farrah is a vet tech who just moved to Alaska after the horrible stepfather chapter was closed, but she's not about to even consider having any sort of relationship after all of it. Cooper adopts a cat shortly after he moves, and this is how he & Farrah come face to face as he had to bring said kitty to the vet. They find they have a connection but good luck getting either to cop to said connection, however, things get more interesting when they learn they're also neighbors. It brings them to a friends with benefits agreement, but you already know, sooner or later that won't be enough as they're perfect for each other. Take Me Now was another story by this author that was super easy to devour in one sitting because I needed to know if they could get past their trust issues for a shot at happily ever after. I'm also a big cat person so I loved the kitty in this story as an entertaining secondary, and there was heat in spades so yeah, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Farrah is the local vet tech and Cooper is a hotshot firefighter. Both Farrah and Cooper have their own reason to want nothing to do with love and relationships. They still see their past as lessons learned and best to keep their heart safe. But fate has a different plan for them. Cooper brings his cat to the vet office, and finds gorgeous Farrah unforgettable. Right after the vet appointment, he is called in and has no time to find care for his cat. Farrah hears about the situation. Since she already knows the cat, she agrees to cat-sit. When Cooper comes back, they find out they are neighbors. That’s not the only thing they find. They find their sizzling chemistry irresistible. They are honest with each other about the relationship. Somehow the friends-with-benefits arrangement they agree on feels unsatisfactory. As they learn about each other’s past issue with relationship, they are even more vested and devoted to each other. This is a slow burn romance that J.H. Croix does so well. Their respective past is heart-breaking, and to steer their future based on that is short-changing themselves. The surprise in the end makes me tear up. What a beautiful story!

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing PR. This is my honest review.

I always adore J. H. Croix's small town Alaskan stories, and I loved Farrah and Cooper's story! They are both so broken at the beginning of this journey and very cynical when it comes to love, but they can't deny the attraction they immediately have with each other. I also love how Humphry brought them together, though with a town as small as theirs, plus being neighbors, it was only a matter of time before they met and started their journey.

Cooper's ex is downright ridiculous and I'm glad she got what was coming for her.

Farrah's past is sad and I honestly don't blame her for wanting the future she envisioned before Cooper because living in that kind of a household really shapes your character in a different way. I'm just glad she found Cooper and was able to be open about starting a future with him, warily as she was.

I also loved the friendships in this book, along with Farrah restarting a relationship with her mother. Those were sweet moments.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel and continue the series!

Another hit in this amazing series! J.H. Croix takes you on a journey of one hurt by the one he thought he would spend the rest of his life with, and one who watched her mother hurt by love everyday and swore to never fall in love. 5 Alaskan stars for this one!
Cooper moved to Alaska to get a fresh start after being hurt by his best friend and fiance. He swore he would never love again after that betrayal. He's a hot shot firefighter, and he adopted a cat, and since he moved to a new place he has no one to watch him! Step in vet tech Farrah, who had just met the pair at the vets office, and she takes his cat in, and finds out he's the new guy across the hall.
Farrah watched for years as her mother, and herself suffered mental abuse from her stepfather, and now that he's gone, she moved to Alaska to start over, with her mom. But like Cooper, she swore off love, but a sort of friends with benefits suits her right now!
The chemistry these two share is off the charts! And as always love will find it's way into their lives no matter how much they fight it! Loved this one, grab it asap!

Cooper and Farrah find a future together.

What starts as a casual affair turns into so much more for these two, who each have their own reasons for not wanting a relationship. Farrah and scooper are both in Alaska because they needed a new start, but for different reasons. Readers will get some insight into Farrah’s difficult childhood and strained relationship with her mother, who she came to Alaska with, as her mom begins to open herself up to a future she had not imagined could be possible again. Farrah struggles with her mom’s feelings and emotions about the past and in turn has to face her own feelings about love, relationships and the future. Cooper’s reasons for leaving his hometown come to the forefront in multiple ways, and though he has already resolved his feelings regarding his past, he just stand his ground and make it clear to his own mother and the woman who hurt him most. Naturally Cooper and Farrah can’t resist one another and feelings begin to develop. The way they handle them will have readers falling deeper in love with this couple!

I've really been enjoying the books by this author and a book about a firefighter's definitely can grab my attention. I loved the chemistry between Farrah & Cooper but it also the easy going between them; of course it also had its moments that made the story relatable but also pulled on your heartstrings. A great read and definitely can't wait to read more in this series.

When Cooper moves to a small town in Alaska, he's looking for a fresh start and with a new job, he's definitely hoping to just live his life the way he wants to. Having a new pet and moved into an apartment, he's taking charge of everything. When he meets Farrah at the veterinary clinic, they instantly hit it off but nothing really comes of it. When he's called away on duty, Farrah ends up looking after his cat. Sparks fly between them but they both aren't looking for something serious. Both have a past of their own and still working through some things, but the attraction between them is palpable. Will they find their way to each other in the end?....

The Light My Fire Series continues to light up my swoon, yet again, the next book in this fabulous series has left me in romance heaven, J. H Croix has produced something special with Farrah and Cooper's story, the new recently single firefighter Cooper has moved to this small town for a fresh start, he isn’t looking for love but from the moment sweet Farrah crosses his path and as fate would have his neighbour the sparks fly, both weary of relationships, he due to his break up and Farrah due to the toxic relationship her mother had with her now dead stepdad, but there is no denying the chemistry, and it was wonderful to watch as they found their way through their past hurts and insecurities to find their HEA.
A brilliant first meeting that brought a smile to my face, and watching this couples story come to life was once again a joy, J H Croix never disappoints, and this series just keeps getting better and better.

This love ran deeper. This love was wiser.
I just wondered how to get Farrah to believe in it. To Believe in us.

Cooper is a hotshot fire fighter and Farrah is a vet tech. They both have recently moved into town and live across the hall from one another. Cooper heart has been broken in the past so he has no plan on getting involved with anyone. Farrah has had a very difficult childhood and does not want to get into any kind of romantic relationship. They are both making several friends in town and they all want to be in Cooper and Farrah's business. They are both cat lovers and this will bring them together whether they like it or not. They have an undeniable attraction to one another and tell each other that friends with benefits is the way to go.
There are some twists to the story that making it a delightful story. This was a great small time romance that will have you smiling. What a great addition to the series.
I received an advance reader copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love the style of J. H. Croix’s writing. I’m kinda new to her, but her Light My Fire and Fireweed Harbor series are so good! I can’t say how much I’m enjoying them.
Take Me Now, is book 8 in the Light My Fire. I loved Farrah and Cooper, both had a bad taste about being in relationships from trauma and betrayal from their past and both agreed relationships weren’t for them.
But fate intervened when Cooper’s cute little cat needs to go to the vet, and he meets Farrah. There’s the obvious attraction between them, and they both try to fight it, but eventually settle on a “friends with benefits” arrangement, which doesn’t last long!
I really enjoyed this book, and loved both mc’s. The steamy scenes between Cooper and Farrah were just that, very steamy and good! Cooper’s mom was annoying with her constant pestering him to talk to his ex, but I liked how he stood firm. And when his past shows up, he doesn’t hesitate to send her packing!
Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I just love this series, in fact, I love everything that I have read from this author to be honest. So maybe my review is a tad biased, but there is something about JH Croix’s stories that just makes me one happy reader.
Cooper and Farrah’s story has them starting out as kind of friends to then surprisingly for both of them, they realized that they were neighbors. Then because of their mutual attraction they agreed to become friends with benefits. Now I have read a whole lot of romance novels with this trope, and it never gets old so I know I will read a whole lot more in the future. But each author has their own take on it and I very much enjoyed how this version played out.
I also enjoyed the low angst and after reading about their pasts I was very thankful this was how it turned out for them.
As I said before I am a big fan of this authors work and I look forward to whatever book is released next.

I’m loving the Light My Fire Series and this is the perfect addition to this heartwarming series set around firefighters and their partners. If you love small town romances look no further than this entertaining and at times emotional series and firefighter Cooper and vet tech Farrah’s journey in Take Me Now.
This couple have been burnt in the past and neither are looking for a relationship but when the chemistry is off the charts it was always going to be hard to resist. What starts out as neighbours with benefits soon turns into so much more but they need to open up about their pasts before they can look to the future. The road was always going to be bumpy but that’s what made this a very special read. This book ticked all my boxes,I adored Farrah and I fell hard and fast for Cooper but what took this book to another level was the level of love they found together. Looking forward to reading more from the very talented J.H. Croix.
