I love the Decker's so any times there's a book about one of them, I'm going to all over it. When a book is about a particular Decker, you know you get a great story about them but you also get to catch up on what the rest of the Decker's plus who ever shows up from Claudia's other series that gets pulled into the story.
This duet is about Seth Bradley, the son of Mason and Ainsley Decker-Bradley. In all the books I've read, we haven't really gotten to know much about Seth so this is the chance to learn more about this Decker.
Seth feels like he can never be good enough for his parents and he's fighting with a ghost (James) that he can measure up to. Seth also feels guilty about the death of his best friend, Archer St. James. There's so many things that Seth worries about or feels bad about and it's hard to wonder why since the Decker's are a close family and I would think they would never make anyone feel less than.
Teddy St. James is Archer's sister who doesn't want to deal with Seth but that never happens. A mutual friend contacts Seth to help with a situation that Teddy is also working on. We find out that Teddy and Seth had a "thing" happening on and off but Teddy's tired of it and wants to not deal with Seth.
These 2 broken individuals want each other but Seth feels like he's not worthy of Teddy. When word gets out on social media about Seth and Teddy, all heck breaks lose. Seth is targeted and so is his family, along with Teddy and her family. To figure out who's after Seth, especially when someone in the Decker family goes missing, the plan is to lured the people out so they can deal with the situation. This plan to lure the bad guys out involves Seth and Teddy taking a very long road trip where they have the privacy to discuss what each of them wants. But when they get ambushed and Seth ends up hurt and Teddy disappears, Seth is determine to find Teddy!
I can't wait for book 2 to come out. It is driving me crazy trying to figure out what's going on and I have some interesting theories that probably doesn't make sense. Besides the personal relationship between Seth and Teddy, the Decker family and Seth being "hunted", the action stuff is quite cool!

There are very few authors that I’ll pick up a book and start reading without reading the synopses first but Claudia Burgoa is one of them so I was thrilled when I realized we finally have Seth Bradley and Teddy St. James’ Story. These two have been at each other's throats for a while and we finally find out why that is and so much more....believe me when I say it's one you won't want to miss! Teddy and Seth have a love/hate relationship, well that's not exactly true you see they really do care about one another things just stand in their way but their chemistry isn't a problem at all because it is off the charts HOT! These two can set the sheets on fire by just standing near the bed. Things aren't looking good for them at the moment and it's up to Seth to protect Teddy and make sure that they both get out of this situation alive...what situation you ask? Well it seems that someone wants Teddy dead but who could want that? And does it have anything to do with a mission that Seth was on eight years ago where Teddy's brother Archer was believed to have been killed? Only time will tell because we were left with a whopper of a cliffhanger, thankfully LOVE AFTER US releases on 2/13 so we don't have long to wait. If you enjoy STEAMY Romantic Suspense, Best Friends Little Sister Romances, Forced Proximity Romances, Grumpy/Sunshine Romances, or Secret Agent Romances I would recommend this book to you.
