#CHA22 Annual Conference Event review

On 23.11.2022 – 24.11.2022, CHA has hosted its annual conference on the topic

Where is the Humanitarian Turning Point?

Over two days, panellists and participants discussed fundamental challenges in the context of climate change and humanitarian transformation, both online and in person.

On Wednesday we dicussed the roles and responsibilites of European public actors, Germany’s responsibility as the largest humanitarian donor government in Europe and the international expectations of Germany. This was based on new CHA research findings on the topic, which were published in the form of a discussion paper: Germany on its long way from payer to player – international perceptions of German humanitarian action
The paper on the topic is expected to be published in autumn 2023.

On Thursday, we looked at the role of civil society in key areas.

In the following video gallery, you can re-visit the whole conference. The abstracts to each session can be found on our conference website as well as in the video description (by opening each of the embedded videos in YouTube). Please note that we are still in the process of e.g. proofreading the subtitles.
