ADOPT SALVADOR!
Salvador is a beautiful snowshoe male with luminous light blue eyes.
We don't know much about where Sal came from - he was found as a stray
already neutered, so we assume he was someone's pet at one point. He
enjoys petting sessions, lap naps, and meows for his foster mom's
attention when he sees her for in the morning or when she comes home
from work. He plays by batting toys around the floor and especially
loves a catnip toy like the catnip filled banana. Sal also likes to be
with his humans, preferring to be in the same room with them whenever
possible and sleeps at the foot of his foster mom's bed.
When Sal arrived at PAW, it was clear that he had a few medical
issues. We discovered that his teeth and gums were in bad shape and
likely causing him a lot of pain, and as a result, he required a number
of extractions. Don't worry, not only is his mouth no longer hurting
him, he's still eating his preferred food - dry kibble - without any
issues.
Sal was originally very anxious when he arrived at his foster mom's
house, but after a few months, has settled right in. He is a good
traveler, going to the weekend house with his foster mom nearly every
week without fuss or anxiety, and does well in the new environment when
he arrives.
Sal does sometimes get annoyed and will let you know he's had enough
by swatting with his paws or growling. For this reason, we recommend Sal
be in a home without small children. Sal is getting along with the
other cats and dog in the home, but he would probably prefer that his
feline companions be on the chill side vs. playful.
Salvador is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and is
microchipped. His has tested positive for FIV, but is negative for FElv.
FIV+ status does not mean that Sal will not live a normal lifespan. Learn more about adopting cats with FIV.
