Invisible International is a proud co-sponsor of the third European “Crypto-Infections Conference,” which will focus on Lyme disease, hidden infections, and bacterial persistence. Highlights include talks on persistence of Lyme and bartonella, Long COVID, microbe-induced Alzheimer’s, neuropsychiatric manifestations of persistent infections, and more, with speakers from Europe and the U.S. The conference can be attended in-person or online.
Organizers are still soliciting abstracts, six of which will be given 15-minute speaking slots during the event. Abstracts should contain original material from recent work on crypto-infection research, as well as best-practice examples and lessons learned. Research categories include human studies, animal studies, epidemiology, and diagnostics/therapeutics. Send abstracts in pdf format to gavramovic@mater.ie by June 1, 2023.
The registration fee for the conference will be waived for student abstracts, but all costs related to travel should be covered by individuals for in-person attendance. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit approval is in progress.
This conference is being organized by Jack Lambert, MD, PhD, a Professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Mater and Rotunda hospitals, and University College of Dublin School of Medicine in Dublin, Ireland; and Christian Perronne, MD, PhD, a Professor of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, former head of a medical department, recently retired from the University of Versailles St Quentin, Paris-Saclay, France. Dr. Lambert is also the founder of the Lyme Resource Centre in Scotland and a member of Invisible’s Scientific Advisory Board.
