I'm very meh...on this one. Rez and Sapphire seemed to start a friends with benefits arrangement, not sure about the friendship part at first, but for sure the benefits. Both went into things with a just sex mindset, all well and good. Yet it annoyed me when Rez tried to reign in Sapphire and I was glad that she pushed back. Sure she worked at a horrible place and where she lived wasn't the best, but it was all Sapphire had for the moment. It annoyed me how Rez wanted to change that, but often didn't throw out other choices for Sapphire, or choices that would work for Sapphire. In the end they got things figured out and settled, by then I was glad to be done with the book.

This series is building and is not only fantastic couples, but a slow burning suspense that is rising! I am loving it! Rez is not your typical cop. Tattooed down to his hands, he isn't what anyone would expect. Perfect for undercover work, and he does it well. So well, he is in the midst of hopefully taking down the demons. Sitting at the club, he is taken with Sapphire. Not only beautiful, this woman is smart, knows what she wants and isn't ashamed of her path. Her confidence pours out of her. These two are well matched, but things are never that easy. See, you have to be on the same page for relationships to work, and they do not see eye to eye on this. But what they do agree on is getting the drugs off the streets. Can they do this together without Rez's mouth spouting off or Sapphire being caught with him outside of the club? St James has a way of writing that pulls my interest in from the very start, has intelligent characters and keeps the story moving with never a dull moment. Rez is a fantastic character. I love his heart and his flaws. He is genuine alpha male, packed with all the over protectiveness he can muster. Sapphire is strong, stubborn and purposeful when it comes to her life. She knows where she wants to go. Add in all the other people we have met along the way, both those we love and those we love to hate and the magic continues. It's true to life, has all the feels and had me from start to finish.
Ava Lucas is one of my favorites and as Sapphire, the confidence and attitude says it all. Lucas gives her that edge and makes her true to form. Noah B Perez is Rez, Strong, over the top protective and a bit careless when he speaks, Perez finds the essence of Rez and creates the personality I expect him to have. These two are perfectly cast and give an incredible performance.

What a ride
Geesh! Just when I think this series can't get any better, it does!!
What a roller coaster ride of emotions in this one!! As things have progressed with the Demons, finding new tactics to infiltrate their operation and dismantle it have become urgent. Rez has been busy working on this at the Peach Pit, where Sapphire (Mel's good friend) still works. Not sure why this matters? Go back and read Finn's story!
The DDMC running "the Pit" is dangerous for many reasons. Phire is counting the days until she can leave, but Rez makes it crystal clear that he would like that to happen now, not later. And to an independent Phire, this is a problem. They are very entertaining and their steamy chemistry is fun!!
The BAMC guys are so easy to love. The banter between characters is written well and is easy to connect with and enjoy. It's tough, the situations these people face, but I enjoy the support they extend to each other. The situations with Saint at the club and T-bone and Sadie were pretty tough. (Sadie's situation was heartbreaking and hard to get through... and poor Nox!! IYKYK)
This series is absolutely addictive and engrossing. I recommend reading this series in order for the best reading experience. (As well as the other MC series, so the crossover characters make sense.) My love for this author's creativity and craftsmanship grows stronger with every HEA, and I cannot wait to see what happens in Crew's story!!

I know I’ve already said this but it bears repeating…I love this series! I have also been waiting for Rez and I’m so glad he wasn’t a disappointment…this guy is fabulous! Rez caught my attention in previous books, that mouth of his is hilarious! He’s an open mouth, insert foot kind of guy or rather an open mouth, just deal with it kind of guy. Funny and loyal and incredibly sweet and his book is amazing. Of course the book wouldn’t have been nearly as great without Sapphire, she’s a phenomenal character. Knows what she wants and goes after it, even if it’s not a traditional career path. She is what she is and she’s perfect for Rez. This book has all of the elements of a great Jeanne St. James book…exciting, thrilling, funny and super sexy…Rez and Sapphire are definitely worth reading. Don’t short change yourself though, read the 3 books in the series leading up to this one so you’re not lost. If you really want to be on top of everything, read the Dirty Angels MC books, those characters are sprinkled through this series and even if they weren’t…everyone needs to know Diesel and Dawg and, oh my gosh, Crow! I’m looking forward to Crew’s book and I’m really hoping we get to see more of Nox, he’s a heart sting tugger that’s for sure. Amazing book Ms. St. James…can’t wait for more!

Rez and Saphire
Rez by Jeanne St James. I have read many of her books, and have loved each one. The Dirty Angels, The Shadow Warriors Security ( don’t recall exact name)
POSSIBLE triggers…
Motorcycle Club Blue Avengers (cops). Drugs- meth, pimping out an addicted woman. The sick f er even after death.
((JUST MY OPINION— OMG this book should be ( I hate to say it) read in schools, (yes this book has sexual and drug content, and if you think you are keeping your child safe from sex and drugs, curiosity is there, if you don’t discuss they will look elsewhere for answers!)) It’s an eye opener about ending possibilities, maybe a deterrent to even trying drugs, an eye opener to parents to be a parents, snoop and pay attention, talk to your kids, not lecture but talk and discuss consequences in detail (the storyline is written well -the details in this book are horrifyingly eye opening).
Even though this is a book of fiction- I want to hug these cop characters, the horrors they see and have had to endure. It’s such a sadistic world of greed we live!

Oh yes I liked this read...
I liked Rez's read. Some parts of his story are gruesome and really tear at you. The Demon's are bad news and they need to be taken down. I knew Rez had his eye on Phire from the first time he met/saw her. So yeah kind of obvious she would be his one. Talk about independent and no holds bar female. I almost wasn't sure if they would work out. Just like Mel Sapphire loved what she did and she wasn't going to let any man tell her what to do. Now that was really hard for Rez the no mouth filter LOL.
The one thing I liked about Rez's book was bringing in some of the other stories from past reads. Like Sloane sister Sadie and the guys finally finding her by tracking down T-Bone. The horrific condition they found her in or rather what had been done to her. Nox leaving that scene and going MIA for a while (wasn't clear for how long) it all helped tie in the back story and their purpose. My fave was Phire confronting Saint OMG she was awesome. The other tidbit easter egg thrown in there at the end was when it was mentioned Phire 2 years later holding her baby daughter. Now I have to wait until November to read Crew's story UGH

Emotions and suspense runs high in this exciting story. The steam between Rez and Sapphire was out of this world. These are remarkable, independent and strong characters. They will have to learn how to compromise on some pretty important issues. The secondary characters also added a great deal to the story; loved Rez's mom. There were a lot of turns with all that was going on and you just want it all to go in the right direction for this couple. It was great reading about some of the past couples. There is nothing positive to say about the Deadly Demons but karma does catch up with get you. What a great ending!!
This has been a fabulous series and I can't wait to see what happens next. I hope to get a story about Nox. Jeanne has always hit it out of the park with her stories. They just intrigue you so much you can't wait to see what will happen next.

This book delivered everything that I could have wanted and so much more!
I have waited not so patiently to learn more about Alvarez. I have had my eye on him since the beginning and let me tell you this boy did not disappoint.
SO much happens in this amazing story. Rez and Sapphire are both extremely stubborn, hard headed and fiercely independent. It was cute for them to think that they could get close without catching real emotions.
If you haven't read the previous books, you MUST read them to fully understand and appreciate a very heart wrenching moment in this book. SO many questions are answered. Ms. St James, delivered those answers in a way unlike any other author could have. The images that were formed in my head will remain there for a very long time. Perfection!

I just love everything about this series, when I think this author cannot possibly top her previous release, she astounds me yet again with what I have just finished reading. Honestly, after reading Rez as a minor character in the previous books, I was somewhat confident that his book would be as exceptional as it ended up being. But a lot of that also comes from the heroine in this book, Sapphire.
Jeanne sure knows how to write strong female leads, and Phire was everything I love to read in my FMC. Strong & independent are just two adjectives to describe her, but she is so much more. I loved her for Rez, I loved how they tried to keep it all casual and ended up failing spectacularly. I especially loved all the emotions I felt in this book, as I do not mind a cry every now and then, and this book definitely delivered on that front.
Great storytelling once again, and I really do hope that Nox is in line for his own story as well

I really like this author, there isn’t too much she does wrong. I loved the Dirty Angels series (she needs a next generation here!) and I really like this series.
Rez wasn’t a character I was necessarily interested in, but Sapphire was. And I wasn’t disappointed. I loved how they were just bang buddies and it grew over time. Well grew for her- he was a goner immediately.
Sapphire is a strong independent woman but she knows her heart and she doesn’t necessarily fight the love, she just fights to keep herself independent and he was perfect for her. A couple of speed bumps when he wanted her to quit but not because of stripping (okay a little bit) but to keep her safe.
The Sadie trope was sad and if you have triggers with SA the scene with them finding her might not be your cup of tea. A sad outcome but one we expected.

Where do I start? Rez is amazing. I enjoy the possessiveness he shows in this book and really think it’s sigh worthy. His girl didn’t think so though. His banter with his brothers in arms is so on point and I really want to be a fly on the wall to have a good laugh. His love for his brothers shows no limits and theirs for him. They will do anything it takes to make things right.
Rez’s girl is amazing as well. She is strong. She knows her own mind. She is tough. She is also on a path to fall hard for Rez and he her. Jeanne St James writes heroines that I want as my besties. I can’t admire enough about her.
I loved everything about this book and devoured it faster than I really wanted to but cannot wait for the next book.

The way this author crafts a series is incredible; the main arc of the investigation weaving in and out of each individual couple's story is out of this world! Rez is one of those guys that I would have blushed being anywhere near him. The closeness between the guys is one of the best things about this series, the insults and ribbing were hilarious. Rez's girl is one tough chick, Sapphire does what she wants. Her independence and stubbornness is so ingrained in her, no one is going to tell her what to do. The attraction between them is undeniable and I found them both incredibly fascinating. An intense plot, smoking hot main characters with splashes of humor, this series just keeps getting better and better with every book!

Jeanne has done it again! She’s written another fantastic book in the Blue Avengers MC series! I love this series! It’s filled with emotions, tension, twists and turns, drama, suspense and romance. This story had me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next! I really can’t stand the Deadly Demons. I can’t wait to see how they are dealt with. Rez and Sapphire are just what the other needed. They’re perfect together! This story has everything you want in a Jeanne St James book. Tension, emotions, drama, suspense and romance. The things you want in a MC romance. I can’t wait for Beyond The Badge: Crew. It can’t get here soon enough!

REZ and SAPPHIRE are SMOKIN! What a fun couple! I've been waiting for more about these two for a while and I was not disappointed. Rez is alpha, fun and possessive. Sapphire is a very independent lady. She is also strong, tough, smart and quite the dancer. These two have great chemistry and make wonderful partners. We get more of what happens to Sloane's sister Sadie and T-bone. And this book really makes me need to read a happily ever after for Nox. We get to see the task force guys, esp Finn and Decker, more in this book too! A really great read. I dont want to give any spoilers but A LOT happens in this next Blue Avengers story. One click now!

I know I’m going to find a keeper whenever I open a Jeanne St James book. She writes the best bikers. Her newest series of bikers who are actually cops is such a gem. I love the camaraderie between the men. It’s laugh out loud funny in places, especially the dialogue. Rez is a great character filled with loyalty, love of family and a real hankering for a waitress/stripper, Sapphire. I love how Sapphire is not ashamed of her job and actually loves it. She’s beyond strong and self assured. She’s almost too independent for her own good. Good thing she has Rez who just can’t seem to let her go. Love the heat, laughter and characters. Bring on Crew.

Jeanne St. James's writing never disappoints and Beyond the Badge: Rez is a great one. I recommend you start this series from book one so you get the full Blue Avengers MC story. Rez and Sapphire are great characters and I love the way the author brought them together and how sparks flew every time they were around each other. This page turning story is a great addition to the series and the continuing story arc. From the plot twists and undercover jobs to the believable characters and humor this book is another favorite of mine by this very talented author. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Jeanne St James understood the assignment. She is an artist of the written word. She's known best for her biker series, but this one which involves cops she certainly delivers. Rez and Sapphire are definitely worth reading. Rez and Sapphire are both extremely stubborn, hard headed and fiercely independent. Two alphas. One male and the other female who knows exactly what they want and how to get it. This was a pulse pounding, thriller with twist and turns and surprises until the very last page. It's told in different points of view, no cheating, and no cliffhangers. I highly recommend this book.

Jeanne has done it again!!! LOVE THIS BOOK!! Sapphire is a strong independent woman who doesn't take any crap! Rez is a officer who is a member of the Blue Angels MC and is working with a multi-unit drug task force to take down the dirty Deadly Demons MC who is selling drugs not only in their state but across state lines. Sapphire has stayed at the Peach Pit even when everyone else left when the Demons took over making it a cesspool. Rez wants to protect Sapphire and take out the bad guys but he has a heck of a time doing both LOL. As always Jeanne will take you through a rollercoaster of emotions which will leave you begging for more!!

I have no idea why I am surprised everytime I read a new book from Jeanne St. James. I’m always amazed at how every new book draws me in and leaves me feeling like I’m living the life of the characters.
Every since Sapphire’s character made an appearance I’ve been praying she would have more appearances in future books, but was shocked to find that she is the supporting character to Rez in this incredible story.
Jeanne St. James never leaves you asking what the hell happened..and only leaves you asking, damn when is the next book going to be released.
I not only encourage you to read this Series from the beginning but I also encourage you to start with the Dirty Angels MC Series.

Jeanne St. James has done it again. This book had everything a reader could ask for: beautifully written characters that are destined to be a favorite couple, a storyline that you will not want to put the book down and just the right amount of emotions, both high and low, to make the reader's heart hit rock bottom while at the same time make them laugh and swoon. Nothing better than the good guys fighting for justice while also bringing one of their own to their knees. Loved every single chapter!!

I Loved Rez. His story is witty, funny, emotional and has some twists and turns. Going undercover is never what it seems to be and when he sees Sapphire, she is all sass, strong willed and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Rez speaks his mind and that gets him trouble sometimes but it works for him. These two are perfect for each other in every way. A definite must read, also read the first three books in the series for better understanding the fight the MC is fighting. Can’t wait for Crew and along with others would like more of Nox!

He is a bit of a cinnamon roll under that gruff alpha exterior. He catches feelings for Sapphire and becomes a bit protective of her as their fling continues. The chemistry between Sapphire and Rez is just so good to read. I love how independent and sassy Sapphire is and how she looks pit for her fellow dancers even if some of them don’t necessarily deserve it. The ongoing issue of the Demons is still playing out and we are getting that much closer (I hope) to see how this all goes down.

Perfection as always!
Sapphire and Rez are so ridiculously perfect for each other. I love this couple. They laugh and love together and are total relationship goals. They support and love each other so dearly.
As with all of Jeanne’s books, the writing and storylines are simply amazing. You will absolutely laugh out loud in multiple parts of this book. You’re also going to turn the pages quickly as the mystery, intrigue and drama unfold. There is also ole Ty of the super spicy good stuff too!
And the ending - be still my heart!!!!!! Absolutely loved it!!!

Amazing!! Another 5star as always!
This book was incredible! The slow hot sexy romance. The banter ❤️ love their banter! What amazing chemistry! Funny and sexy as hell! This brotherhood is awesome. These scenes with just the guys are hilarious and also quite emotional. What an exceptional read. Fast pace. Full of action and emotions all the way through. Love how this full story is unraveling and lots of answers coming into light. The Monty scene was a big time fav 🤣 just a great read!

Hard to read due to triggers but omg so worth reading!
Heed to the caution of possible triggers for some but it is one awesome story with one very badass heroine. Sapphire is headstrong and yes stubborn but knows herself well enough to accept Rez as he is. They make such a super duper couple. Jeanne keeps us turning the pages no problem with all the action, suspense and sorrow wanting to know what happens next with certain members of the Demon MC. and other character's family members.
So looking forward to this continuing saga.

Cleaning up!!!
I have had my troubles with this particular series of books. I am not sure what is has been that keeps giving me trouble.The character development has been good but maybe it has been the plot ??? Some of the undercover work got confusing in spots and of course maybe the very realistic drug addiction outcome was a pretty heavy topic for "romance" genre... I gave it a high rating and I stick by that but there is just something??? Read for yourself ,I just won't go so far as to say my usual "enjoy" explore and widen your horizons

Wow! I could not stop reading Rez and Sapphire's story. Everything about this book grabbed my attention and, much to my family's dismay, had me glued to my tablet all day. Ms. St. James gives you her all with every book she graces us with and this was no exception. The explosive chemistry Rez and 'Phire have is so 🔥. I loved Sapphire's fierce, independent character and Rez with his " foot in mouth " affliction lol.
