recorded: song of Bougainville Thicketbird

Bougainville Thicketbird Cincloramphus llaneae © Julien Mazenauer

Until recently, the song of the Bougainville Thicketbird Cincloramphus llaneae was unknown, or at least it had never been recorded. During a trip that they lead for Ornis Birding Expeditions Julien Mazenauer and Joshua Bergmark managed to record it. One species less on "Shaun's list", the list kept by Shaun Peters on XC highlighting birds whose sound have never been recorded! Rob Gordijn has added another recording, a very nice one. Do check them out.

Cool recordings from Uganda coming in these days, courtesy of Jonathan Onongo. Thanks for sharing Jonathan!

Thanks for noticing. Special appreciation to the eBird team for providing me with training in sound recording and editing. eBird and Idea Wild also provided the audio recording equipment that has made the recordings possible. Look forward to continuing to contribute more sound recordings.
