The road less traveled by a sexy silver fox and a restless woman might be the path they need to restore both their hearts.

Lindee Fox
My entire adult life has been a road trip, and I’m ready to put the brakes on the wanderlust in my veins. So, I bought a motel. The irony isn’t lost on me.
What I hadn’t anticipated was a little clause in the contract, stating I must use a specific construction company for renovations. A business owned by a man who gave me one toe-curling, thigh-clenching, soul-defining night that came with a huge dose of reality the following morning.

I wanted to erase him from my memory, but that has not been easy. And seeing him once again because I’m his new boss, well, I can’t decide if I want to kiss him or fire him.

Leaning toward firing him.
Maybe.

Thaddeus Rhode
My forty-five years have been full of reckless twists and turns. Former motorcycle man. Newly divorced single dad.

The one direction I never expected was a glance back at the woman who crashed into my life. Hadn’t planned on that single, incredible night. Hadn’t foreseen a big misunderstanding the next day.

After everything that happened, I never thought I’d see her again. But I hoped I would. She rejuvenated my road-weary soul and been impossible to forget. When fate crosses our paths a second time, I had decisions to make.

I wasn’t giving up this job.
I wasn’t leaving this town.
Walking away from her?
Definitely not happening again.

+++

Join Lindee and Thad when one-night leads to a second chance adventure that neither predicted would take their desires down unfamiliar paths where one person is a wandering soul and the other wants to stay put . . . together.

L.B. Dunbar brings you the third standalone in Road Trips and Romance.

**NOTE** The Fox sisters (Road Trips & Romance) are the siblings of Garrett Fox from Wine&Dine, an original sexy silver fox.

I'm so darn excited!!!! Dunbar continues with her Road Trip Romance with this third installment and it just blew me away.
Roadster meets Lindee fox in a motel after the Tail Of The Dragon and he says...

“Well, Lindee Fox. Let’s take a little road trip.”

And that ride changes her life...for the better, you ask?
Well..the jury is still out on that one.
And as she jumps Hearts First, Head Second against her careful nature, she discovers the dormant passion that is awakened for one night on this roadside motel.

“Sometimes the road isn’t clear to us, but we take it anyway and just hold on tight for the ride.”

Morning brings a jolt that shifts the ground beneath her feet
Fast forward to four months and they happen to meet again.
Dunbar keeps us guessing- Will They; Won't They.but matters of heart aren't easy to solve or demarcated the boundaries of.
Also then there's Karen!!!I am a huge fan of Dunbar world of silver foxes so this was a much awaited book.it a journey through my soul, it's spoke to me on a visceral level.
Dunbar mesmerizes you with her well defined, intelligent prose and ruins you for other romances.
I hope to live in her books one day.

There is no doubt of LB Dunbar's ability to write swoon worthy heroes in their forties but, in my opinion, she's out done herself with Thad Rhode.

Lindee Fox is the last of the Fox sisters to find love later in life and Thad is the perfect hero for the emotionally damaged Lindee.

Their immediate connection is evident although you can see the drama bubbling in the background easily.

The journey to HEA for Lindee and Thad is emotional at times but their connection is unquestionable and, even though you know there'll be an HEA you will still be cheering them on.

I'm a 'series junkie' and this one has been amazing. Hopefully, more will be on the way as new characters have been introduced and definitely have stories we want to read.

Restless hearts written in the stars and brilliantly written by L.B. Dunbar!
I read Lindee and Thad’s story and could feel their emotions as written in an absolutely realistic and palpable manner.

Lindee’s need to stay on the road and only stay in places long enough to work on her projects. Doing things “to prove herself, with a desperation and eagerness to outrun her decisions”.

“Have you ever done something completely out of character?”, she asks upon seeing Thad for the first time. She’s somehow drawn to him and the rambling thoughts in her head finally calming and she doesn’t want him to leave her to her musings.

Thad returns when he witnesses an uncomfortable situation with Lindee and unwanted advances by a stranger and the rest is a story that I believe is truly written in the stars.

Second chances, single dad, workplace romance, it’s all in this story and more and I loved it!

Good story.
Older couple.
He is divorced with kids. 3.
Ex drama drama for him. He's not interested but there are several instances that cause friction with the heroine.
Brief separation at the start, no-one else for either of them in that time.
He isn't a man-whore type, he was faithful to his wife and then had an issue so he wasn't physically able for a time. (Just before this he found out his ex cheated so divorced).
HEA.

This is a terrific book about finding yourself later in life, and show how important it is to keep fighting for the future you want. I just loved how Lindee and Thad meet each other at an important juncture in each of their lives and have such an impact on one another.

Lindlee is finally ready to settle down in one place and Thad is tired of settling. He is finally going to live his life on his terms, and he wants Lindlee.

They have a sizzling romance while he is renovating her motel, but Lindlee doesn’t trust that he’ll stay for her. I love how they both recognize that they “want to be found.” That they have both been lost in their lives and they want someone to love them for them.

They both bring a ton of baggage to this relationship, but neither one judges the other; they are so encouraging. Even when they might not have all information, they continue to make decisions to best support each other.

This is a terrific romance filled with imperfect characters doing their best to love each other. I totally enjoyed it!

Rhode Trip
Road Trips & Romance #3
By L. B. Dunbar

My very first thought after finishing Rhode Trip was to go out on the deck and look at the stars in the sky, because this book deserves all those stars…truly!

In Rhode Trip we get Lindee Fox and Thad (Thaddeus) Rhode’s stories and oh my lord, talk about emotional upheaval. From their first meeting which turned into their first night these two light up the page, the steam keeps coming and I needed a fan to calm myself down!

Lindee is the youngest sister of the Fox sisters and for years she has been a wanderer. She is amazing at what she does, which is reimaging hotels, motels and B & B’s and she has made quite a name for herself. She’s a wanderer, a traveller, and has no place to call home until she buys a run down motel.
She has amazing plans for it, the big question as always is, will she settle down once the renos are done?

Thad Rhode has lead quite a life and dealt with some very heavy issues, but now, he is divorced and on his way to renovate the old motel his Grandmother just sold…he was part of the sale, whoever purchased the motel had to hire Thad’s construction company to do the work. Should be fine, he’s looking forward to it, he spent a lot of time at that motel growing up…what could go wrong?

Remember that night….full of steam..well not all the truths were told by Lindee or Thad and what might have begun earlier was shut down when our girl Lindee let her trust/truth thing end it…and boy did end badly.

As I said, so many things that have happened in their lives have shaped Lindee and Thad into who they are now, what they need to do is let it all out. But it’s hard…their memories are hard, the things they faced in the past are hard, their truths need to be told…they do open up but some of these discussions hurt and I have to say, keep those tissues beside you. I needed them often.

Lindee and Thad are perfect, now one of them has to open their eyes and see how perfect their life can be. With visits to and from her sister Jane and three children who are loved can they finally clear the air and see how well Lindee and Thad’s road trip can end? Look at the night sky and take in all the stars and think of Lindee and Thad, think of the open road…and maybe it’s time for your own Road Trip!

I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review.
OMG, this book had so many emotions involved in the story. Both the H/h had had rough lives before meeting each other. Their lives became even more complicated as their romance begins to blossom, with a lot of external complications included.
This reader was hooked from the very beginning of the book, and it was hard to put down. The author did a wonderful job of writing a story about true love facing adversity with strength.
Thad is recently divorced man,but still struggling with his ex and his children. He is a former MC member, who has tried to improve his new way of life. He is a hard worker, and dedicated to his children. He had met Lindee several years ago, but he was surprised to see her as the new owner of a small motel. A motel he and his crew must help remodel.
Lindee is a woman who has had a tragic past, and this past has made her live the life of wanderlust. Unable to settle down, until she decides to buy a small motel. Then the remodel construction team arrives, and the head of the team, is someone well known to her. Slowly, Thad and Lindee begin a hidden relationship, as truths about Thad and Lindee’s past are revealed. Lindee has a lot of insecurities and is unable to accept the love offered from Thad.
Truths are revealed about the unhappiness that Thad’s children are suffering, at his ex’s hands, and this also adds more stress to the relationship between Thad and Lindee.
Lindee decides to break up with Thad, so he can keep his family together, but Thad refuses to accept her withdrawal. Determined to keep Lindee in his life, the couple finally obtain their HEA.

I fell in love with the over-40 romance style of L.B. Dunbar many moons ago and she still continues to deliver amazing stories with relatable characters. When you're over 40 and been around the block a time or two, it's nice to read about people who have also been there. Being over 40 means you've likely got some baggage and plenty of experiences to bring to the table. These are the types of details author L.B. Dunbar weaves into her tales, along with plenty of romance, sexual tension, struggles, and angst.

Rhode Trip brings together Lindee Fox, a forty-two-year-old who still hasn't found herself, and Thad Rhode, a forty something dad ready to move on with his life after divorce.

Thad and Lindee have an explosive first meeting that goes from zero to one hundred in one night and one road trip. When fate steps in and brings them back together, sparks continue to fly and close proximity gives them the time they need to work through all the secrets while they fall head over heels.

Rhode Trip was such a great story. While Lindee struggles with her trust issues and her feelings for Thad, he pulls out all the stops to show her he is serious and ready for forever with her.

Thad's kids, Gran, and cousins brought an extra level of depth to their story. That's what happens when you're forty something; other people and obstacles come into play. Those kids stole my heart, and Gran was such an amazing woman. Overall, this story made me laugh, brought a few tears to my eyes, and also brought lots of steam to the pages. I'm totally loving the road trip themed stories by L.B. Dunbar and look forward to a few more.

Rhode Trip is book 3 in L. B. Dunbar’s Road Trips and Romance series. Lindee has a one-night stand with Thad on her way to spending a weekend with her three sisters in a cabin. Lindee meets a woman at the cabin who introduces herself as Thad’s wife. Lindee feels crushed and betrayed by Thad’s version of the truth and refuses to listen to any explanation. As a tumbleweed that travels the country renovating or flipping old motels and bed and breakfasts, Lindee longs for a place to call home. She finds an old motel in West Virginia that she buys to flip. The owner placed a clause in the sale that a particular construction company must be the company contracted to do the renovation work. Thad turns out to be the owner of the construction company that will be doing all the work on the motel, and the previous owner is his grandmother. The truths Thad shared with Lindee are rife with omissions that she regards as lying. Their attraction and pull to each other are magnetic, which seeps under Lindee’s barriers. Divorce in the book Rhode Trip is beautifully handled as messy, where each involved may dredge up ambiguous feelings. Lindee has baggage of her own from her home life growing up to losing her first love years previous. She struggles with insecurities of not being “found” or “seen” by others and “not being enough.” Thad and Lindee must fight their way to a HEA if their budding romance can withstand all the opposition that comes their way. L. B. Dunbar can write the over 40 romances like none other!

Two people meet by chance at a motel near a river, both on a precipice of life changes, they decide to do something completely unexpected. We meet a few old friends along the route of this story and some new ones, ones I'm sure other readers will love as much as I did. One character I felt was a user for the most part, I think she wanted her own way when she was young, it wasn't working so she used whatever she could to get it, or in this case him. I'm glad he met Lyndee, both of them had bad things in their pasts that affected thoughts and behaviour, this wasn't all plain sailing. There is some angst, trust issues, even PTSD at one stage. It is emotional and all about second chances. I would have liked to know what caused the illness, if it was just a stress thing or early change? That didn't get answered but seemed to disappear with everything else going on. I found it easy to get carried away and really want the best outcome for the characters, Lyndee was great with the kids in the story and that made my heart melt. The scenery sounded beautiful and idealic, romantic as well. And oh to be as fit as Nesse at 95, I'd love even half of her energy. I could easily have read more of this couple, lots. There is a free small bonus scene with newsletter sign up which is a fabulous ending and absolutely made it, so worth doing and reading, it's only a short scene so don't expect pages. Gosh I just want more, more Thad and Lyndee, so good.....

I gave Lucinda Marie Fox (Lindee) and Thaddeus Rhode 4,5 🌟

You don’t get many romance books written for the over forties. This book was one of them and also my first L.B. Dunbar book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

In this book we meet Lindee and Thad. Two wandering souls with similar yet different backgrounds.

They’re mature and have life experiences. They say life begins at forty and for these two characters their HEA was found then. Something hopeful for us over forty singles out there.

I loved the way these two met. I loved that they were wandering souls yet were different. That they battled with their true feelings for each other.

Although, mature characters, they had obstacles. One is a divorcee with baggage and one was simply afraid of committing, also with baggage of a different kind.

Thad’s kids were adorable. Their reaction to Lindee was real. The author had me laughing and shedding a tear or two dealing with these kids.

Nessi I think was my favourite. With her wisdom and force and love and beauty she saw in others. A true Gran, fiercely protective of the people she loved.

The book was easy to read. Lots of sexy times. And had heart to it, something relatable to real life.

I’m hoping that Manor and Duke get their books too. I’d like to read their stories. But for now I’m going to hunt down Lindee’s siblings’ stories and get to know the Fox family.

Another wonderful story in this series. Ms Dunbar bring to the surface many emotions while these characters fight and loose the battle to stay away from one another.

Lindee has always felt a bit like she was travelling solo in her life, yes she has her sisters and brother but they all seem so grounded. While she has moved from place to place doing job after job. It might just be time to start looking for a home. Hoping the Motel will give her just that. She wasn't prepare for the way Thad was going to make her feel or his tenatious pursual.

Thad has been doing his best to move forward with his life after his divorce. While being their for his children the best he can. It is still a struggle but much better than the way things were before. This job at the Motel his grandparents used to own is taking in a little further away but he can manage. When he walking in and find the woman he can't keep off his mind, he is uncertain where this will go. But the more time spent with Lindee, he is determined to make her part of his future path.

Can Thad succeed in getting Lindee to see she deserves happiness as much as her siblings. That the past doesn't need to predict the future. Some people will stay and fight.

A great adventure with the wind in your hair, coasting up the mountain roads.

Take a Rhode Trip to find love!

It was supposed to be just one night for Lindee Fox and Thaddeus (Thad) Rhode. Well, fate had other plans and they now have to work together to restore Thad’s grandmother’s old hotel where Lindee is the new owner. And this is where their journey to happiness really begins.

I loved the push and pull dynamics between these two. They definitely had chemistry but they each also had their own pasts and secrets that needed time to come out.

Lindee has lived her life with no home base but is it that she loves to travel or is she simply running from her past? And now with a taste of what settling down would feel like, is it enough to make her stay?

Thad has his own past that he struggles with from losing his brother, a health scare and being a recently divorced dad with three children, he is still trying to find his new normal. What he does know is that Lindee is something special and now that he finally found a woman that fills his heart he doesn’t want to lose her.

Supposedly with age comes wisdom, but I think that these two show is that just because you are older and have lived life doesn’t mean you have your life together. It takes work and sometimes it just takes the right person to keep you moving down the right Rhode!

Mmhmmm! Rhode Trip started with a steamy chance meeting that changed the course of two peoples lives in a way neither were expecting but were so ready for. And I devoured it especially with the expert way L.B. Dunbar wove all the characters from some of her other titles into the mix.

I loved that both characters had their fair share of life thrown at them. That events of their past shaped how they acted in the here and now. How they hung on or let go when things got hard or scary. And how they called each other out on it because they wanted them to hang on, to stay and fight.

I loved seeing both Lindee and Thad soften and open up. It was only supposed to be a summer fling, there was always a timeline on their time together. A deadline on the project that brought them back together. But what sealed the deal for Thad was the way Lindee interacted with his kids (and those three were more than a handful- but so so sweet too). He knew he had to do something to keep her in his life.

Talk about emotional intensity. My heart was in my throat as these two tried so hard to give the other what they thought they needed. Lindee and Thad's road trip romance that led a wandering heart to home was equal parts steamy and sentimental and I couldn't get enough.

I always know when I start a new story by this phenomenal author, I am going to be pulled into the story and invest in her characters hard.

The final Fox sister gets her story and what a trip it is.

The beautiful landscape of the mountains of West Virginia is where this story is set, and let me tell you, if there is a motel like the Mountain Motel, I would be there in a heartbeat.

Lindee thinks of herself as a wandering soul, but deep down, she wants to belong to one place. She carries a lot of self-baggage, and because of that, she feels like she will never be "enough".

Thad is a mystery, wrapped in a past that is slow to emerge. He, too, has baggage and is trying hard to free himself of the negative, look forward, and create a new and better future for himself and those he loves.

Readers are going to find themselves immersed in this story of fate written in the stars, following roads less traveled and finding a place to plant your roots.

I cannot express how much I love Ms. Dunbar's later-in-life romances, with vintage characters still bringing the heat and heart we all love!

Loved this book from beginning to end.
Traveling the Tail of the Dragon is something I've done on several occasions. Brings back great memories and going to a certain "lodge" mentioned in the beginning.

This has got to be my favorite book in this series. Lindee and Thad are the best. Plus, the kids and Nessi are wonderful too. Just one big blended family.

I loved the adventures. From hiking to a waterfall, camping, and all the sweet and spicy moments this book simply has it all.

Overall, I would highly recommend. It can definitely be read a standalone. You will also meet other couples in the story from past books as well.

LOVE this quote in this book. Hit me hard. Need to slow down and think of life like this.
"The past is behind us and our future is unknown, but today is a gift, that's why it's called a present."

What a book so emotional but so rewarding at the same time loved it.

Lindee Fox is a wanderer unlike her siblings she need's to keep moving and be on the open road. She is a lost soul trying to find her own path but what that is she really don't know. Little did she know that a one night stand would change the course of her life.

Thad Rhodes a former MC biker has been burned so many times in life but all he wants now is something for himself, after a divorce and looking after three kids can he be a changed man. A chance encounter something he never thought would happen changes that meeting Lindee Fox.

He meets a caring beautiful women who also has her own story to tell and it's not pretty, the chemistry between them is something neither of them expected at all you just want them both to have a HEA.

Side characters Manor and Duke are the best and grams she really is a true legend. Sasha Vicky and Sam are so adorable you just can't help but fall in love with them.

This book is filled with so many emotions and i loved it. LB delivered another fantastic book do i believe in second chances yes i do we all need our HEA.

This book is more than just a story. It's an adventure. Lindee has never stopped running from feeling like she doesn't belong, from a broken love story, and from herself. Enter Thad. He is loyal to a fault. He has layers that keep unfolding. Just like I hope Lindee will, I am falling in love with Thad while reading this book. Chapter 16 was the moment I truly became invested in the story. Dunbar writes so expertly that you are there kissing by the waterfall, you feel the vibrations as the train approaches the bridge, the air and the water as Thad jumps, and the tears running down Lindee's face.

Rhode Trip was an experience. So. Well. Done. I was in the mountains in North Carolina. I could smell the vintage roadside motel Lindee was restoring with Thad's help. I could feel the threads of family. Though I have never been, NOW I want to go visit! I thoroughly enjoyed the playlist, too! (I'm listening as I write this.) If you're looking for some spice, it's there! Take a chance on this story. If you're looking for love, it's inside these pages. Let love find you just like Lindee hopes it will find her... 5 superior stars!

What a freakin amazing adventure. LB’s books keep getting better and better. I loved these two characters and the journey they went on to find themselves/what they wanted. From their initial meeting, I knew I wasn’t going to put this book down until I finished it. A fantastic, silver fox, romance that will make you swoon, fall in love with the characters and need a fan for all the passion.

Lindee is not one to stay in one place for too long..she’s constantly on the move and doesn’t want to set down roots. She has her reasons, has some baggage she needs to deal with and just hasn’t found the right place or reason to stay.

Thaddeus is a sexy silver fox whose in town to do a job. He is working through some issues and has some things from his past he keeps pretty guarded. He starts letting down his guard when Lindee comes into his life.

These two are full of life, full of passion, fearful of commitment/love due to past events…as they spend more and more time together, letting down their walls, they find they have more in common they they realize.

A fantastic read that I highly recommend!

This the third and last Fox sister to get her story told. This book pulled me right in. I really liked Lindee and Thad. They are both looking for a place that feels like home. Soon they are going to realize it isn't a place, but a person or people that create that feeling. Lindee hasn't felt like she belonged her whole life and nothing to do with her siblings because they treat like she does. I can understand the feeling it makes you feel lost and you're always searching for the place that makes you feel whole. Thad has had many twists in his life, but the twist of Lindee is a very welcome one. It's not all sunshine and rainbows because life isn't, but you make those happy days count. Thad's kids steal a piece of my heart in this one. Breaks my heart for the changes they are enduring, but they have a solid support system. This book has a great cast of characters that me gobble up the book. This book has the winning combination of heat, heart, and humor. Lindee and Thad have burning hot chemistry that creates a lot of steam. This book delivers on the feels as well. There are moments that make me happy sigh and then moments that pull on the heartstrings. A must read!

Lindee is a free spirit who ventures from town to another renovating dated motels to turn them into a place that people will want to stay. She is beginning to grow weary of not having a place to call home so she purchases a motel and hope that it will become the place she wants to stay. The only catch is that she has no input on the man who will be doing the renovations and she had no idea he was the same man she spent one night with until a misunderstanding tore them apart.

After all that he has recently been through Thad is ready to begin the next stage in his life. He wants to experience all the things he has put on hold and while he will be there for his children, he wants nothing to do with his ex. He spent an unforgettable night with Lindee and he wants to see what they could have together but that means working through the misunderstanding of the past and showing her that she can trust him with her heart.

This is a heartwarming story about second chances and new beginnings. Both Lindee and Thad have difficult pasts but once they open their hearts together they prove they are much stronger together than apart.

Both have had rough lives and both deserve a hea! I need a man like Thad to ask me to go for a ride. Sadly in this day and time I'd probably say no, but thank goodness for authors who bring our fantasies to life!! Thank goodness there are romance books out there that have heat, heart, emotions and even heartbreak! Because life is messy and sometimes the only HEA we get is in books! 🔥💚✌

Rhode Trip is a really, truly complex, complicated and twisted story, spun into a dens woven tale with fascinating and great characters that intrigued me and sucked me in from start to finish.

Lindee and Thad are characters scarred and shaped by life, and their experiences are so true to reality that the reader can identify with them and totally relate to them.

While reading their story, I kept picturing a river in my head. Not only because it is mentioned repeatedly and key scenes in the narrative are set along rivers, or because Ms. Dunbar uses it as an analogy, but because the story itself and feelings it evokes resemble a river's course from source to mouth ... sometimes gently rippling, sometimes effervescent, sometimes profound and calm.

Anyway, I absolutely loved this book and I have to repeat myself once more: Ms. Dunbar has once again outdone herself and delivered a story that - in my humble opinion - even surpasses the previous phenomenal books in the series in an incredible and unbelievable way.

4.5 out of 5 stars

Lindee Fox was full of wanderlust, going where the road took her. She surprised her family and herself by buying an old motel to restore and run. Little did she know that her contractor was the man she spent one night with.

“I’m a lost soul and I’ve never been found because I don’t hold onto anything but memories.”

Thaddeus Rhode didn’t know what to expect when he saw Lindee again, but it was the perfect opportunity to right the wrongs from 4 months ago.

As they got to know each other, they bared their souls. Thad had many underlying layers that Lindee discovered before he had a chance to reveal them. That made trust that much harder for Lindee. The author didn’t make the rad to HEA easy for these two. Each issue far came up tested their strengths, had them questioning, and eventually able to overcome. If there is a couple that deserves their forever after it’s Lindee and Thad.

“Wherever the road might lead,” she whispers. “I’m with you.”

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

L.B. Dunbar is a master at writing the 40+ year old stories and as a senior I very much appreciate it. This book is another winner as far as I’m concerned.

Lindee and Thad have both had a really tough past and a random hookup leaves them both thinking about the other but no way to reconnect. Four months later, as a stipulation of the sale, Thad’s construction company is contracted to make the renovations on Lindee’s newly purchased motel. They had only used nicknames four months earlier and didn’t meet in person until the first day on the job, so they are both shocked to see the other. Their “rhode trip” to finding their happily ever after is full of secrets, angst, questions, answers that sometimes cause more questions, heartbreak, laughs and lots of steam. You will be reunited with a few people from prior books and meet new side characters, some worthy of books of their own (hint, hint L.B.). A must read.

This story has it all, and you will get all the feels with it! L.B. makes you swoon, and fall in love with her characters! 5 stars for this one!
What a beautiful story about a woman, Lindee, who's been wondering around life always looking for her next stop. While on her annual trip with her sisters she ends up at a cute inn, and meets a guy, Thad, who just could be a hot one night stand! What happens is these two connect on another level, but she's just passing through, and when the next morning comes, she see's something that makes her run for the hills!
Now she's back, and she bought the motel, and he's the last person she expects to see show up to do the renovations on it. She can't fire him, it was part of the deal when she bought the place, so she has to suck it up and try to keep her distance.
This story was so well written, L.B. takes you on a journey of self reflection, healing after being hurt, and learning to let love find you and hold on tight!

5 Star Review Rhode Trip (Road Trips & Romances) by L.B. Dunbar
Whenever I pick up a book by L.B. Dunbar I know that I am in for an entertaining read with characters that are engaging and so easy to relate to; probably because her characters are more mature and resonate with me.
I was hooked from the first to the last chapter into the story Ms. Dunbar wove about Lindee Fox and Thaddeus Rhode as one of my favourite things is a road trip.
Meeting by chance Lindee and Thad throw caution to the winds and do something totally unexpected. I loved this. Both have been burned in the past and trust is a big issue for both of them.
Neither of them were looking for love, but sometimes fate has other plans. This book was at times an emotional read as Lindee and Thad take a leap of faith. Their journey had it’s ups and downs but what a wonderful journey it was. Rhode Trip was Another wonderful read from the very talented L.B. Dunbar

Rhode Trip by L.B. Dunbar is the third stand-alone in the Road Trips & Romance Series. The previous books are Hauling Ashe and Merging Wright.
Lindee Fox is tired of being a floater, she wants to settle down grow some roots and so she buys a motel for that she has to hire a construction crew.
And the head of this crew is Thaddeus Rhode. The ex-bkier and single dad is in for a big surprise when he finds his ons of a few months ago is his new client.
Both butt heads like the best of them. And its a real pleasure being a watcher to their bicker and banter.
Everything could be peachy, only the secrets he keeps are a real deal-breaker for Lindee - and for me too. I really, really wanted to shake this character out of his ways he was set in. And Lindee turns into a doormatish wallflower who can't say no anymore at all. I was like what is happening here???? And I was left with my doubts. So all in all a good read with great writing 4,5 stars.
