Barbara was born in New Jersey, and grew up in south Florida. Eventually, work led her north, to the Carolinas where she lived in Charleston for two years before making her home in Raleigh. After twelve years in the jewelry industry she surrendered to the muse and left the business world in order to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. When she isn't writing she is an avid reader and lover of music, a football fanatic, and a devoted Florida Gator fan. She also enjoys travel with her sweetheart, Tom, who over the years has learned much more about the craft of writing than he ever wanted to know.
