Thank you for your interest in the Port of Olympia’s project to help clean up and restore Budd Inlet. Contaminated sediment from historical industrial activities in Budd Inlet presents a threat to human health, negatively impacts the ecology of south Puget Sound, and impairs maritime operations and recreational boating. We have made significant progress recently as we explore the best way to clean up contaminated sediments and restore the overall ecological health of Budd Inlet.
