    This book show us a woman who was a good woman who at a young age had suffered so much but never did she imagine what her future held. It was through suffering and actually finding herself that she actually found God in her life. Very inspirational, encouraging and uplifting.

    This book will stay with me for a long time. Learning to survive with no family and having her husband leaving her destitute. Fortunately, she had many friends who helped her and believed in her so she could survive and to thrive not just exist with learning to put her trust in God.

    The Captain & Mrs. Vye is an adventurous story that will bid your attention. MaryAnn Diorio not only has the ability to describe her characters' outward appearances, but precisely describes their hearts, emotions, motives, and attitudes. This enabled me to identify with some of the characters to the extent that I felt God speaking to my own heart. If you're interested in a well-written story that will captivate your heart, choose this one! Although I received an advanced copy of the book, this review is entirely my own.

    I've had the privilege of reading many of author MaryAnn Diorio's books and can say without doubt that The Captain and Mrs. Vye ranks up there with my favorites among her novels. As usual, her characters are well-crafted. I especially loved a plot twist near the end of the book, which I will keep secret. And Ms. Diorio's settings never fail to delight.
    Readers who enjoy powerful thematic books from a Biblical perspective will find The Captain and Mrs. Vye inspiring.
