Balsam Ridge #6

Rise After Fall

Rate this book
I had a dream. A big dream. My mother swore I was born with skis on my feet. Since the time I could walk all I ever wanted was to fly among the snowy peaks. To compete against the best of the best.

Until I didn’t.

One mistake. One wrong move and everything came crashing down.

No longer a contender for Olympic glory nor the pro circuit, and searching for a new path, I find myself in Balsam Ridge, Tennessee.

Starting over at the newly built Misty Mountain Ranch and Ski Area, training novel skiers, and managing the ski staff, is a far cry from Whistler or Vail. But it offers the serenity I crave.

Morris Tuttle is the cocky younger brother of the resort's owner. A fun-loving man with a handsome face, sexy dimples, and wicked ambition who likes to get under my skin.

He thinks he can push my buttons and worm his way into my frozen heart? Game on.

Amber Kelly does small town romances so well! I love the 'Balsam Ridge' family and I'm sad that this is the sixth and final book, but it's one I've been looking forward to.

Morris is the youngest of his six brothers and is helping his brother Langford with his new resort as a ski instructor. Zoey is leading up the group of instructors, and she and Morris have met before. In fact, she's his boss now.

I loved Morris and Zoey's dynamic. They brought out the best in each other. And when Zoey's past comes to the present Morris is there for her. I absolutely love this family and that we get to see them all in this book. It's such a great series!

I am just in love with Amber’s writing. Every story she writes just absolutely pulls me in and warms my heart.

Rise After Fall is the sixth and final book in Amber’s Balsam Ridge series. It can be read as a standalone but really this family is so great that you will want to read them all!

Zoey always had hopes of going to the Olympics but after a career ending injury right before the games, her life completely changes. Now she is a skiing and snowboarder instructor and just took a job working in Balsam Ridge, TN.

Morris the baby brother of the Tuttle family. He’s funny, easy going, charming and everything that Zoey doesn’t want. But soon those walls collapse and she might just find everything she has been looking for all along.

I love this family. I love this town. This book made me laugh (the bear scene had me rolling), it made me swoon. It got very emotional when you find out why Zoey made the choices she did. I love how Morris was just a strength for her.

I think was the perfect ending to the series. I can’t wait to see what Amber has next!

This one is bittersweet, because Morris is the last of the Tuttle siblings to find his forever. I love this series so much and wish it would never end! And while I’ve loved them all, I think Morris and Zoey are my favorite.

Oh my heart y'all, this one is so amazing, I can’t even describe it! I love that the charming, cocky hero has deep layers and a marshmallow heart. And Zoey, this girl is everything! So self-assured and confident on the outside, but hiding a brokenness that, once it comes to light, allows her to grow and bloom into an amazing woman. It's sweet, heartfelt, humorous, and steamy, and I couldn’t get enough of this masterful, enchanting romance!

While it has subject matter that may be difficult for some readers, this story has so much emotion and heart, from exhilarating highs to devastating lows. It's a story of vulnerability, honesty, courage, and redemption that is profoundly tender and eminently beautiful. Your soul will be shaken, your heart stirred, and Zoey and Morris will own a piece of you forever. Start reading this one ASAP, and then catch up on any you might have missed in this phenomenal series.

Ugh it was SO GOOD to be back in Balsam Ridge. I firmly believe that Amber Kelly is and always will be one of my favorite comfort authors. Each of her books take you into this universe that feels like a warm hug.

Morris and Zoey's story was so good! I loved all of the side characters from the previous books being woven into the story too. It's one big happy, dysfunctional family who loves so hard and endlessly. I always find myself rooting for them.

This book focused on Langford's new resort that he opened and getting seasonal workers to join his team for the winter. He hires Zoey, who previously was an Olympic-level skier, to head up his division for ski lessons. The youngest Tuttle brother, Morris, helps out with ski lessons and ultimately works under Zoey. The two hit it off and Zoey finds a home in not only Balsam Ridge, but also The Tuttle Family.

I absolutely devoured this one and I'm so excited to see what Amber does next! Make sure to add this series to your TBR asap and check this book out on Thursday!

"I don't think we put enough emphasis on friendships. Your friends aren't bound to you by blood. They sign no contract. There is no courtship, proposal, or ceremony. You don't exchange vows, and yet you're there for each other for better or for worse, in sickness and in health. Through births and deaths until your own death causes you to part. You laugh together and make each other laugh. You cry together without judgement or shame. You hold each other up when one of you hasn't got the strength to stand."

What a way to finish the Balsam Ridge series!

In this final installment. Morris, the baby of the family and the happy go lucky goofball finally meets his match: Zoey, his boss and the ski manager at the lodge. And they have met before.

Morris and Zoey had natural banter and chemistry throughout the story. I loved seeing them grow after their first impressions of each other. Morris's natural protectiveness stood out throughout, and his acts of love were clear throughout. I loved seeing Zoey and Morris care for each other and take care of each other.

Seeing all the family cameos (BABY DUCK!!) just made me want to move to their town. There is so much enjoyment and love in this story and I just want to soak in it like a bathtub.

5-star review Rise After Fall (Balsam Ridge #6) by Amber Kelly

Another entertaining and well written story from Amber Kelly and was a wonderful addition to the Balsam Ridge series. It touches on several issues that may well be a trigger for some so please be prepared.

All it takes is for one moment in time to destroy your dreams. This is Morris Tuttle and Zoey Phillips’s story, and it was a fitting story to conclude the series. Amber Kelly’s writing is descriptive, and I could easily picture myself in Balsam Ridge, Tennessee.

As the manager of the ski staff at the Misty Mountain Ranch and Ski Area, Zoey is trying to get her life back on track. Meeting Morris was just what she needed to reset her life. I loved the Tuttle family and their dynamic; it added an extra layer to the story and their banter had me smiling.

Rise After Fall was an emotional story about finding love when you least expect it, of coming to terms with what life throws at you and taking a leap of faith that the person you fall for will be there to catch you.

This was such a fun conclusion to this series and gave me all the winter romance feels!

Zoey was thought to be the next big thing in skiing until one day an accident changed the direction of her career and Olympic goal. Hired to manage the ski/snowboard school at the newly opened ski lodge in Balsam Ridge, the last thing Zoey is looking for is love, especially in the form of fun and flirty Morris Tuttle, one of her ski instructors and younger brother of the owner of the ski lodge. Morris isn’t easily intimidated and is quick to thaw Zoey’s frosty heart.

This was everything so want in a skiing romance, it was so fun and I loved all the friendships in this, it really made me miss skiing! I loved the chemistry between Zoey and Morris, it was such a satisfying slow burn and when secrets from Zoey’s past come to light, Morris is there to support and encourage her. If you are craving a winter romance, you will definitely want to pick this one up!

It was so good to be back to Balsam Ridge. Amber Kelly is one of my new favourite comfort writers. I loved the Tuttle's so much that I want either to be adopted by them or to move to Balsam Ridge and I don't care that it's fictional. It's that good. Rise After Fall is Morris and Zoey's story. Morris is the youngest Tuttle brother and he has some of the best traits from the men in his family. He's still searching for his thing in life so that's why he's trying new things. And the last one is being a ski instructor at the family resort . And Zoey is his new boss . They didn't get along during training camp. But a lot changes when they start working together. The attraction between them is undeniable and the chemistry between them is sizzling hot. Morris is so sweet and swoon worthy and at the same time so caring and compassionate and loving. Zoey finds not only e new place for herself, but a family and friends . Let's not forget the girl's gang and their shenanigans because they claim Zoey as one of their own. Then Zoey's past catches up with her and threatens everything she worked so hard for and most importantly her peace of mind. Morris is by her side and is her biggest supporter . I loved it how her family also stood by her side and found their place in the big extended Tuttle clan . I loved Rise After Fall so much and I'm a little sad that it's the end of the Balsam Ridge series but I'm so glad that there will be a Christmas special for them .

I received an ARC copy of this book by WordSmith Publicity in exchange of an honest review.

She was on track to the Olympics when an injury changed everything. He is the youngest of his family but he might have all the best parts of the famous Tuttle brothers.

Zoey almost became a world famous Olympian in skiing when she was a teen. Now she has accepted a position as a ski instructor at Langford Turtle's ski resort in Balsam Ridge. To many her choice to spend her winter here may seem like a downgrade of her potential. But for someone just searching for peace it's the perfect place.

Morris Tuttle is the baby of his family even though he is well into his twenties. He has learned many things from his brothers and their careers as well as life choices. He is excited to take a position as a ski instructor at his brother's ski resort. His being able to spend time with a girl that caught his eye years prior is just a bonus.

Morris wants to be treated like the adult he is. Zoey has very little to prove as her reputation preceeds her. The two clash heads at first but both handle it maturely. Morris does nothing to hide his obvious interest in Zoey and she finds herself responding. When trauma and ghosts from Zoey's past come lurking in Balsam Ridge, Morris is there to protect Zoey against those she once lost her own voice.

Dual POV, he falls first, spicy.

Zoey may be the most interesting of the Balsam Ridge FMCs in the series. Do pay attend to **trigger warnings** for this story.
Morris was portrayed and described as the most interesting of the Tuttle brothers, but I didn't see it. Maybe it's because he doesn't feature as much in the previous books of the series. I found Morris to be one dimensional and just not that interesting. Morris is a sweet guy and is in many ways a prince charming to Zoey. Her trauma was handled delicately and without gruesome details. These two work well together as a couple but we got very little content with them as a couple. Nice HEA and Epilogue.

Series review: I gave most of these books 4 stars but I give the series 3 stars with the title "Meh". The storylines and character building had potential but the execution was mostly unforgettable. The ultimate sign of my feelings on this series: I found a novella to wrap up the ending of all these couples and I have zero desire to read it. I just wasn't able to invest in these characters beyond surface level.

**Trigger Warnings**

Rise After Fall – Balsam Ridge #6 - Review

Author: Amber Kelly

Couple: Morris Tuttle & Zoey Phillips

Tropes: sports romance, boss/employee, office romance, small town romance, tortured heroine, reformed player MMC, found family

Review: Amber delivers the perfect snowy romance for the upcoming holiday seasons in this sporty romance! Morris and Zoey are two winter sports lovers and their close proximity leads to sparks flying while they work together for the season. The dual POV allows us to live both MCs in this book!

Zoey is a young woman who was at once an Olympic hopeful. I enjoyed how this story was about her finding her way and opening up about what occurred on the fateful run that ended her career in skiing. When we meet her she is closed off and a little cold, but as the book unfolds we gain insight about her and why she protects herself from hurt. I loved seeing her open up to Morris and I thought Amber did a great job with writing about Zoey’s struggles and mental blocks in relation to her trauma. The way her arc centers around the love she has for the sport and overcoming her past in one of the best parts of this story.

Morris is the baby Tuttle we have seen in previous books within this interconnected saga. I LOVED his character. I felt like his laid back and easy going nature was perfect for Zoey. I also enjoyed how we see just how much he is in awe of her skills in his chapters. Amber delivered a strong MMC in this book and Morris will stick with you after finishing the story! I thought that the way he proves himself to Zoey was great but the way he allowed her to feel safe opening up was better. What made me love his character though was the endless support he gave her after her secret came out towards the end.

This book is full of the angst and tension. These two have chemistry that boils over in spades and the evolution of their relationship is a testament to it. I enjoyed how the spice was quicker in this book since it felt more natural for the two of them and how they both began to fall together. Amber packed a punch with the intensity these two have!

Rating: 4/5,  A sweet and spicy romance about finding yourself and your soulmate!

As we find ourselves back at Balsam Ridge, my emotions are of two thoughts this Rise After Fall. First, we have another fantastic, beautifully written, emotional and funny story that was an absolute joy to read. Second, this is the last book in the series and that is a sad thought for me. With each and every book in this series, you get a glimpse of a family that truly loves with all their hearts and really adopts you into the Tuttle family in every way. Ms. Kelly hit a perfect landing with Rise After Fall with Morris and Zoey's story.

Yes, this story had its fall-off-your-seat moments, Morris naked scaring a bear among others but this story was also emotional and did pull on my heartstrings. Zoey is a retired professional skier who is now at Balsom Ridge to run the ski school, but there is more to her than the confident and strong person that she appears to be. Deep down she is hiding and suffering from a past that haunts her every day of her life. Now she has Morris to deal with. There is a history between them and you could say some bad blood. Morris, being a Tuttle, is sexy, sweet, caring, swoon-worthy and every girl's dream, maybe he can be Zoey's as well. Feelings come to the surface, heated exchanges happen and sparks fly. The two of them have a chemistry that is hot and off the charts. Unfortunately, the nightmare that Zoey lives with surfaces and has her finally able to share what happened all those years ago. Morris is right there with her showing her that she is loved and cared for.

Although this story deals with a difficult subject, Ms. Kelly writes it with care. I want to jump into the book and tell Zoey that she is so much more than what happened and she is loved.

MS. Kelly thank you for a riveting story as well as a series that I will be reading again. I highly recommend picking up Rise After Fall as well as the rest of the Balsam Ridge series.

a beautiful, perfect snowy ending to this series.

6 brothers. Amazing parents. Enchanting women who become lifelong partners. Grand babies. Wine. Fire pit encounters. Biscuits and gravy. Long held traumatic secrets. Skiing fun. It’s all here in the Balsam Ridge series.

This final book 6 in the series centers on Morris Tuttle and ski instructor/world champion skier, Zoey Phillips. Morris, youngest of the six Tuttle boys, is trying to find his way in life. Zoey Phillips - on skis at the age of 2 but a fall at 17 ended her hopes for the Olympics - is discovering just how charming the small town of Balsam Ridge is as well as how charming Morris Tuttle is. They are working together now at Morris’ eldest brother, Langford Tuttle’s, newly opened ski resort, Misty Mountain Ranch and Ski Area. Zoey is Morris’ boss so that relationship requires careful navigation as they become involved and share some steamy encounters.

Zoey is hiding a traumatic childhood history that doesn’t come to light until near the end of this story. It’s not unexpected but tugs at your heartstrings anyway. Morris becomes the badass, hurt her and die, Tuttle. It’s wonderful watching him mature and become so enthralled with Zoey that he can’t help his emerging feelings and his commitment to give her everything she needs, even if it’s a simple soak in a bathtub.

The skiing backdrop is beautifully written and you can visualize being there. I loved the bonding of the young ski instructors and Zoey being their “boss” certainly worked well. This story wrapped up the series perfectly. Morris came into his own and his older brothers finally recognized him as the gown man he had become and yes, he gets the girl with the proposal to end all proposals. Good job Morris. Good job.

Can I just start by saying I am so sad this series is over. Can a girl get a short novella catching us up on where everyone is? Something, anything please....I need more!! I love Amber's writing style. I always feel like I am being wrapped up in a big blanket while reading her books. She makes you feel like you are a part of the families in her stories.

I loved Zoey & Morris and their journey. Baby Tuttle turned out to be an amazing man and such a rock for Zoey. In the words of his mother Sara Beth, he really is the cherry on top. He did get the best of his dad and all his brothers. He can joke around with the best of them but he is also willing to give you the shirt off his back or even build you a deck so you can watch sun rise over the mountains.

The story did touch a heavier subject when diving into Zoey's past and why she stopped skiing competitively but was treated with care and the support of her circle was phenomenal. There was no big miscommunication or third act break up between them. Their story just flowed so well and the supporting characters in the story old and new added so much to the story.

I will just be over here in my feelings now that the series is over and waiting for more genius from Amber!!!

Not only is this my favorite book of the series but it's my favorite book by Amber Kelly. It's almost hard to put my finger on why but there was just something about Morris & Zoey's story that was magical.

In the beginning, there was some tension regarding their working arrangements between Zoey and Morris. Soon that tension turned to something more. Zoey was hired on to lead the instruction for the new resort. Morris was trying to make his place within the business so that he could work with his brother. He was really upset in the beginning to be placed with the beginners course but Zoey had her reasons.

These two turned up the heat pretty quickly but they didn't burn out. They became each other's safe place. I knew something deep was going on with Zoey with the way she avoided going back home to visit her family. It wasn't until she finally broke down and confessed everything to Morris that you get the full picture of all that she had endured in her life. She was so much stronger than she even realized.

My heart shattered for her when she had to make her confessions. But I knew that in the end, she would have all the support she didn't realize she had all along. I loved how Morris handled everything. He is my favorite Tuttle man and I'm so glad that he found Zoey.

I absolutely loved being able to see and catch up with all the other members of the family. Now let's keep our fingers crossed that Amber will be a sweetheart and give us a Christmas Novella with a catch up for the whole Tuttle crew.

I love being back in Balsam Ridge with the Tuttle Family. Rise After Fall is book six in the series and, at this point, all of the family members have been introduced and met their perfect match except for the youngest brother, Morris. A bit lost as to his future career goals, he heads home to become a ski instructor at his family’s resort.

Sports romances are always of interest to me and this one is unique because it involves skiing, a sport I always enjoyed. The author does a fabulous job describing the resort, the slopes, and especially the quaint little down-town with all the shops and restaurants where everyone knows your name. It’s so charming and I wish it were real so I could vacation there.

It's at the resort that Miles meets Zoey Phillips, his new boss as the head ski instructor and manager. She was on her way to the Olympics when an injury ended her career, and years later, is back on the slopes harboring a deep secret. Miles is so sweet and attentive, and smitten with her. He’s never felt this way before and they act on their attraction rather quickly. No slow burn here!

This book takes an emotional turn as Zoey bravely faces her past with Morris being right by her side. Loved her interactions with his family and her parents and brother, and how together they helped provide justice for something long overdue.

If you love romance, excitement, small-towns, work romances, then dive right into Rise After Fall. It’s the perfect title as our heroine does rise again, and you will be routing for her and this couple the entire time.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review

This is the last book in the series and the author saved the best for last. Morris Tuttle really is a wonderful blend of all his siblings and his parents and I loved him so much. He meets his match in Zoey who is his neighbor and boss in this story.

The Tuttle family has opened up their ski resort and they have hired Zoey as the head of the skiing division. She is a world class skier at age 23 and as the book starts, she trains her personnel, one of which is Morris.

There is not a forbidden romance but rather that Zoey has dated fellow skiers and has decided they are not for her. Her and Morris start out as friends, coworkers, boss and they start to see how awesome each of them are. She also gets adopted by the whole Tuttle family and honestly that had some of my favorite scenes.

There is a bit of drama in Zoey's life and its more related to her family and her past. I loved how Morris is so there for her and even decides to butt in. I loved how he had her back and so did the entire Tuttle family.

I truly adored this book so much. It's one I think I will re-read because it was a lot of fun. Though there is some drama in the story and it does deal with a serious subject. The drama just made this book even better. It was a wonderful way for the series to end.

RISE AFTER FALL by Amber Kelly

I’m always sad when a series ends yet extremely happy for all of the amazing characters that I have loved along the series to have their happily ever after. This was a great way to end the series. I have loved Morris since we first met him many books ago. He is the last Tuttle standing and the baby of the group. He is such a laid back easygoing guy. We have seen his goofiness throughout the series. I loved that we see his easygoing side however we get to see another side of him in this book. We get to see just how big and amazing of a hey he has. The way the author made us see Zoey’s struggles was absolutely perfect. She let us see how her past and her present were so intertwined with the other. She was this amazing athlete who was on her way to the Olympics when tragedy struck and changed her future. So we get to see how she strays off as this closed off person due to her tragic accident. As we read we see more into why she is who she is why she is so closed off and then we see her change when Morris comes into the picture. I loved how he was the perfect person for her. His way of helping her open up the way he made her feel safe and how he supports her was I thought what made me love him more. I truly loved this book and I would recommend it to everyone.

I have been really enjoying this series and was looking forward to Morris' story. The way the author has written the story blew me a bit out of the water as the story took another turn, one I felt I should have seen coming but didn't and that made me relate to Zoey's character even more. That definitely triggered something personal. I truly loved the chemistry between Zoey & Morris but also really enjoyed the side characters who definitely brought even more laughter and fun into it, next to the rollercoaster ride of emotions. Another great read!

As the new ski resort and season soon takes off, Zoey is settling into a new job and a new rhythm. While making sure everything goes smoothly, she comes face to face with Morris again. He's certainly not too happy with the way things are but he's also excited to get the new resort of his family up and running, even if it's working with Zoey. But there seems to be something more between them and the more they get to really know each other, the more their relationship starts changing. But Zoey still has a lot of ghosts in the closet and when her past catches up with her, it'll take all her strength to finally lay her ghosts to rest. Will they find their way to one another...

I was so sad to see this series come to an end but what a story to finish the series with and as the saying goes Amber Kelly certainly left the best for last. This is the youngest Tuttle man, Morris and Zoey’s entertaining and heartwarming and at times heartbreaking journey.
Morris may be the joker in the pack but when he finds the one he jumps in feet first and Zoey is the one….this man is the boyfriend we would all want, he is kind, compassionate and funny, he loves unconditionally and it seems he got the best of the Tuttle men.
Zoey is settling into her job at the new ski resort and everything seems to be falling into place until she comes face to face with Morris again.
This couple seem to have a lot more than friendship going on but Zoey has secrets from her past and when her past catches up with her she needs all the help she can get. Will Morris be the man to save her….
This is a journey about friendships, family, loyalty and bonds, it’s about finding love when you least expect it and it was a very special read. I love the Balsamic Ridge Series because this family have become like friends and I will certainly be reading this series again. This journey touched me on so many levels and I highly recommend it to all romance lovers.

In the last book of the Balsam Ridge series, we follow Morris and Zoey, who have previously met when working with each other in Colorado as ski instructors. She is now his boss and the dynamics have changed. They are attracted to each other but try and keep it professional, but that doesn’t last long. They are smitten with each other and keep each other on their toes and boundaries pushed. They want each other to grow and achieve their new hopes and dreams. And more importantly reminding each other that dreams chance, evolve and grow, and that it’s okay. There is a heaviness that surrounds Zoey that only she shoulders, and understandably lets it weigh her down. She takes is and chooses to crush it and not let it get the better of her. The support that Morris gives her and the way he reminds her the strength she has always had is so beautifully breathtaking. The love they have for each other’s was something so natural and organic. The bits we see of the rest of the family really brings the book full circle as it closes out the series. What a lovely ending to a fantastic series that I’m so sad to see go.

I was blessed enough to receive this arc from @amberkelly and wordsmith publicity but the thoughts and opinions of this review are my own.

Rise After Fall is the perfect end to the Balsam Ridge series! Zoey Phillips’ dreams of being an Olympic champion went up in smoke when she got injured at seventeen, but years later, she finds herself managing the ski staff for the grand opening of the Misty Mountain Ranch and Ski Area in Balsam Ridge, TN.

This series has had us falling in love with the Tuttle family, and this book is no different, as one of Zoey’s ski instructors is the youngest Tuttle Brother, Morris. He is so very charming and top tier at performing acts of service for Zoey.

They may not have had the smoothest start to their relationship, but they work together so well. And even when darker notes of her past come forward, I love that she puts her trust in Morris. The banter is wonderful and I love just the warm family vibe of the overall story. The family I great, and the instructor friend group is so much fun. We definitely get that Dirty Dancing staff vibe, and that just so happens to be a favorite movie of mine.

There were a few moments that felt rushed, but overall, this story is just so wonderful and cozy, and I cannot wait to see what we get next from Amber!

great ending to the Balsam Ridge story: loved Morris and Zoey

Rise After Fall is the 6th book Balsam Ridge, but can be read as a standalone.
I loved going back to Balsam Ridge to get Morris’ story, but sad to see the series come to an end.
Morris is the last Tuttle boy to find love. He’s a cocky, goofball hero, who is sexy and has all the best qualities. Amber did an amazing job continuing the story line, but also incorporating the previous characters that we all fell in love with. Loved seeing the family banter and the updates on the clan.
We meet Zoey, a smart, sassy, professional skier who put her Olympic dreams on ice due to injury. She is now working for Misty Mountain Ranch. I loved the natural chemistry, push, pull, and sassy, lighthearted banter that Morris and Zoey maintained throughout the story. Morris has a protective nature that helped Zoey gain part of the strength she needed. Seeing their individual growth in the book, but also together was great. Wowzers, I was not expecting the plot twist in this story. I loved to see the friendships grow, the family bond stronger and all the love that was displayed throughout the whole book. Great read. Definitely recommend

Zoey Phillips had one dream her whole life and it was a big dream, make it to podium of the Olympics. Until one mistake, one life changing mistake, that caused her dream to come grinding halt. Now nine years later and no longer a contender for the gold medal or in the pro circuit, Zoey finds herself in Balsam Ridge, Tennessee as the head of the ski school as the Misty Mountain Ranch and Ski Area Resort training newbie skis and managing the ski staff. It's completely different from what she's used to, but it's offers something that she's longing for, peace and serenity.

Morris Tuttle, the younger brother of the resort's owner. He is a fun-loving young man with a pretty face and a pension for flirty. He isn't scared of Zoey and is bound and determined to get her under skin. Will he manage to push all her buttons or will he chip away at the frozen exterior of her heart?

Reading this book was bittersweet as Morris is the baby brother of the Tuttle family, it is the end of the "Balsam Ridge" series by author Amber Kelly. This forced proximity, sports romance was a fantastic finish for the series. I'm sad that we won't getting more of the series, but I can't wait to see what comes next from Kelly.

The final Tuttle boy is single, but not for long!! Morris is the youngest Tuttle and the culmination of all his brothers, in the best way possible! He’s sweet, charming, thinks of others, and is a hard worker. He just hasn’t exactly found his “thing” in life yet. Which leads him to being a ski instructor for his brother’s new ski resort where former skiing superstar Zoey Phillips is running the ski school!

They didn’t get along during training camp, Morris felt Zoey was picking on him. But once the season starts, the attraction between the two are undeniable. All Morris wants to do is bring a smile to Zoey’s face and make sure she has everything she’s need.

But then Zoey’s past comes back to haunt her, threatening to tear apart the peace she is finally feeling in Balsam Ridge. Will Morris help her through or will he turn and walk away?

The real downside to this book is that it’s the end of the Tuttle boys and almost the end of this series (thank you Amber for doing a Christmas special for them!)

I really enjoyed this book!

Zoey was a champion skier but her career was cut short due to a tragic accident. Now she has taken a job at the new ski resort as the lead instructor where she meets fellow instructor Morris Tuttle.

Let me tell you, I would marry a man just to be a part of the Tuttle family. They are the absolute best!! The humor that each of them bring to this series is hilarious. I also need to be a guest at one of their feasts because the food sounds delicious! Lol

Zoey and Morris have amazing chemistry and I loved seeing them slowly open up to each other. Morris is my love language. His protectiveness and the little things he does to make sure Zoey is her happiest is so sweet.

This story was filled with humor, love, winter fun, sibling banter, and strength. It was a perfect ending to the Balsam Ridge series. I can’t wait to see what Amber has in store for us next!

Zoey is a well known former pro skier coming to Balsam Ridge to lead a Ski School for a up and coming Ski Resort. What she didn’t expect was to fall for the youngest Tuttle brother/ resort owner.
She also didn’t expect that by moving to Balsam Ridge she would find a welcoming community , new found dreams and passion, as well as the courage to confront her past. Bringing her family closer together while also forming a close bond with the Tuttle women.
This was such a cozy read! This book had me wanting to cuddle up by a fire with some wine and s’mores!! I went into this series with this book!!! So you can definitely read it as a stand alone. You can’t not help Falling in love with Morris Tuttle and his family & Balsam ridge. The way he was with Zoey had me swooning. PI will definitely be going back and starting from the beginning of this series. Amber’s writing is soo enjoyable for me!!

Please check for TW’s as there are some in this book!!

Morris Tuttle…*swoon* honestly Author Amber Kelly really did write the perfect series for the Tuttle boys. I didn’t know I could love each one in their own way and daydream about them, but this final book just proved that to be possible. He’s still kind of figuring life out and trying to prove himself to not only his brothers, but to the new head ski instructor, Zoey.

Zoey’s a former all-star, Olympic hopeful, skier who’s career ended before she made it all the way. So what exactly brings her to a “small town” ski resort to lend her services? Perhaps it’s the want to get away from her former coach…or her parents. Or maybe it’s just the chance to start over without all the pressure of the world surrounding her.

Morris and Zoey start off on a bit of a rocky road, but is there more than meets the eye for both of them? Can they both prove themselves…to the world and to each other?

What am I now going to do without the Tuttles? I suppose it’s time to reread the series!

Baby Tuttle got his own story and to think Amber wasn’t going to write it. That would have been a sad day because this book was fabulous. Amber has a way of pulling you in and making you feel like you’re right there on the mountain and in Balsam Ridge. Damn those Tuttles making me fall even harder for that family.

Morris definitely has a little piece of each of his brothers making him the perfect Tuttle. I loved that Zoey was a boss lady who took back control of the dreams she once had and stuck to the man. It was a sight to see her stand up and be a badass woman.

Amber pulls on those heartstrings mixing in the sexiness and romance for the perfect story. You’ll want to visit Balsam Ridge on your next vacation even if it’s only in your dreams. I loved everything about this story and can't wait for what Amber has in store next.
