How did the Works cope? Dr Michael Anson will talk about thorny issues – organisation, costs of construction, bureaucracy, manning and division of labour? Why did Swindon diesels cost more than Crewe locos of the same type? Both Members and non-Members are welcome to attend the talk. A small, voluntary donation to the Friends of Swindon Railway Museum would be appreciated.
