One Man (Naked Trilogy Book 1) Kindle Edition
Our first encounter is intense, overwhelmingly intense. I go with it. I go with him and how can I not? He's that ONE MAN for me and what a ride it is. But there are things about me that he doesn't know, he can't know, so I say goodbye. Only you don't say goodbye to a man like Jax if he doesn't want you to. I've challenged him without trying. He wants me. I don't want to want him, and yet, I crave him. He tears me down, my resistance, my walls. But those walls protect me. They seal my secrets inside. And I forget that being alone is safe. I forget that there are reasons I can’t be with Jax North. I forget that once he knows, everything will change.
Because I need him.
Because he's my ONE MAN.
One Man is the first book in the dangerously sexy Naked Trilogy by New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones.

One Man pulled me in from the very first chapter and didn't let go until one heckuva "oh no you did NOT leave me hanging like that" moment!
Jax North is man on a mission, and that mission is seeking revenge on the Knight family for the role he believes they played in his brother Hunter's death. And the woman in his crosshairs as a tool for his purpose is Emma Knight, the heiress to the Knight hotel empire. Or is she?
Everyone has secrets and a hidden agenda, and Jax and Emma both keep asking themselves who they can trust. Despite the burning attraction and sizzling chemistry between them, neither is sure if they should be enemies or allies. Jax finds himself unwillingly drawn to this woman who is an unexpected mix of strength and vulnerability. Emma has been betrayed and brutalized in various ways by the men in her life for years, so trusting an alpha male with an agenda is not easy - particularly when the most sadistic bastard of them all, her ex-fiance York, shows up again with the intent to intimidate and control her. Before they realize it, Jax and Emma have moved beyond convenient sex to something deeper; now they just have to figure out how to hold onto it and whether their remaining secrets should be revealed.
At times I felt like I was watching a ping-pong match with the constant back and forth volleys of accusations and protestations. When Jax hires Walker Security to help him sort out the increasingly convoluted mess of players on the board, Savage's warnings against trusting Emma completely don't help his state of mind either. I loved how Emma came out swinging to put him in his place though!
All in all, One Man was a great read despite that WTF moment at the end. The only minor drawback for me was that the storyline and character reactions all felt a little too familiar to me. My mind kept going back to previous books I have read by the author at too many spots in the story thinking "oh that's just like what happened in..." or "jeez she sounds just like ....". That won't stop me from coming back for more though because now I am invested in these characters and I definitely need to see how it all plays out!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2019Not your average romance, One Man is sexy, mysterious, and intense. From the very first page, this story is filled with secrets, leaving the reader wondering about characters’ motivations and intentions. Paired with Lisa Renee Jones’ fantastic writing style, and it’s easy to get lost in the story. I was definitely intrigued by Jax and Emma, and left wanting more when the book ended on a CLIFFHANGER. Though there’s plenty to this story, there are definitely questions left unanswered when the book ends.
The story follows Jax, a man who has felt a lot of loss recently. Following the death of his father and brother, he is seeking revenge against those he believes are responsible - and is willing to use Emma as a tool to accomplish that goal. What he doesn’t expect is to be so drawn to a woman who should be his enemy. From the moment they meet, there is an intense connection that remains unwavering even as family drama unravels. Emma has been used in the past, and she knows with certainty that she cannot trust Jax, but that doesn’t stop her from being drawn to him.
The writing is really great - making the reader question things but leaving little breadcrumbs along the way. I loved the chemistry between Jax and Emma (though considering this is a trilogy, I would’ve also loved a little more buildup between them). The sexy times commence pretty quickly, but they are written so well - every action moves the relationship forward, and made it that much easier to fall for Jax. He’s a dominant man who knows where the line is, and his caring for Emma is one of the best parts of the story. Once you read this book, I find it unlikely that you’ll be able to resist continuing with the series, so keep that in mind while reading. I received a free copy via NetGalley but went ahead and purchased it for my collection as well. I am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy and mysterious book.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2019Wow! Lisa Renee Jones never fails to write a passionate, sexy , thrilling romance! This is the first installment of a new series , The Naked Trilogy, and from start to finish this book just grabs your attention! And might I add , it just had to end with a cliffhanger!
Jax and Emma burn up the book with their sexual encounters even though they maybe should not be together . As Emma finds out he is one man who can change everything and she is drawn to him with a burning desire. Jax has ties with her family and believes that his brother’s death was definitely not a suicide and that Emma’s brother may know more than he is letting on. And of course there are other devious members who come into play such as Marion who was Emma’s fathers biggest client before his recent death which is what brought them all together in the first place. And I like the way that she brought in the Walker security team from her previous books to help out with the investigations into some of the shady characters in this book.
This author has a way of making you want to devour everything she writes , and I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW One Man is My Man
Absolutely great book. I first bought this book to read but thought I would treat myself to audio book and holy hotness the narrator for Jax is seduction personified. I could listen to this man all day. The storyline is a really great slowburn building up all the way kept me listening it was heaven. The book is HOT, well written and I love the characters and how this story links to previous trilogy. Jax and Emma have real chemistry together and you really want them to come together and stay together. I'm sure there's going to be more than enough plot twists and angst in the woman I've just bought but disappointed it's not out on audible yet so I can listen or read. Great start to this trilogy I dare you to miss it! Great read.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK BUT...........
This was a great book and I really wanted to know the rest of the story so came on here to get the trilogy. I was VERY disappointed to see that book 2 was £4.36 BUT only had 169 pages to it. Surely this series didn't need to be a trilogy with a story that short?! It really annoys me when an author does this. Needless to say I didn't get book 2 or book 3 and I will forever wonder what the twist was. Oh well.

4.0 out of 5 stars First book of the trilogy keeps you wanting to grab the next one straight away
I am a huge fan of Lisa Renee Jones and with this book she got me again.
Emma Knight lost her father recently. Her family is rich, owns a huge company and has influence.
She must attend shortly after he passed away an event to accept an award for him. She must be brave and keep up the appearance even so she would prefer to be kept alone and to mourn her loss. Also to handle what secrets about him and how their business was run she found out.
At the event she meets Jax North the owner of North Whiskey. He also lost his father 6 month ago and shortly after that his bigger brother who was running the family company. His death is not clear if it was suicide, an accident or if more is behind all this. His intention is to find out how the Knight family is involved in the passing away. He expected lots of things but not to meet Emma Knight and what connection he feels towards her.
In this series we have two persons who are used that other persons want to meet them and be together with them because of their family name, their wealth and the influence they have. We have two persons who have to deal with their family secrets, how they connect their families and in all this found their perfect partner but struggle how this shall work when the truth should push them in opposite directions.
This book ends with a cliff hanger that wants you to grab straight away the next book to know how this story goes on.
