USET's Office of Tribal Public Health (OTPH) recently conducted a site visit to the Jena Band of Choctaw Indians (JBCI) Health Department. The site visit included a presentation to the community, focus groups, discussion with JBCI Leadership, and a tour of their lands and facilities, including a beautiful new Health Department building, scheduled to open mid-year. OTPH is also assisting with a community health assessment that will drive strategic planning of their healthcare infrastructure. USET's subsidiary, Tribal Health Innovations, is providing support on revenue cycle management. OTPH is grateful for the honor to support our member Tribal Nations on endeavors that have such positive impacts on their communities.

The Poarch Band of Creek Indians have donated $750,000 to the Atmore Community Hospital. “Rural healthcare is a necessity, not a luxury,” Tribal Chair and CEO Stephanie A. Bryan said. “We need to have access to a good hospital that is close to home and that is truly part of our community. Proximity can mean all the difference in situations where minutes matter. We are blessed to be able to support Atmore Community Hospital and the wonderful people who work there and care for us.” https://ow.ly/g5tu50VgPu9
