The NGO School, established to provide support to Civil Society Institutions in Azerbaijan, is actively continuing its operations. This initiative, launched under the project 'Strengthening Mechanisms for Ensuring the Sustainability of CSOs in Azerbaijan (SMART CSOs in Azerbaijan)' by the Azerbaijan National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, has been of service to 18 organizations during the recent period. Civil society entities have the option to apply to the NGO School either directly or online.
As part of this service, documents necessary for the establishment of 8 NGOs were prepared and presented to the beneficiaries. Of these, documents for 7 organizations have been submitted to the Ministry of Justice.
Additionally, the required documentation for 6 organizations, whose registration had expired, has been prepared. The Ministry of Justice has taken action by applying to the main department responsible for justice services, ultimately obtaining the necessary extracts from the State Registry.
Under the umbrella of the NGO School, 3 organizations received consulting services for project preparation, while 1 organization received guidance in report preparation. All 4 organizations were mentored throughout the document preparation process.
It's worth noting that the NGO School extends its legal services to individuals aspiring to establish an NGO, assisting in the preparation of documents for submission to the Ministry of Justice.
The NGO School offers consultancy services to civil society institutions in areas such as project development, accountability, monitoring, and evaluation. Non-Governmental Organizations can also seek assistance in the preparation of documents required to obtain extracts from the State Register and in amending the charters of registered NGOs by approaching the NGO School.
The primary objective behind the establishment of the NGO School is to provide consultative and technical support to both existing organizations and newly formed initiative groups.
