Afton and Hamish's love story touchs my heart HARD and Nolan writes it so good that I can feel all of Afton's insecurities. I cry, cry, and cry for her from the start through the end. Afton has been through with her responsibility so much and she sacrifices her life to be free. Her unconditional love for Hamish breaks my heart so when Hamish who is a perfectionist hurts her heart again, I want to smack his head so badly! Don't get me wrong, Hamish is a good guy and he truely love Afton but he has a baggage and that is a reason why he trying so hard to resist her. But while I cry so hard for Afton, the story is very heartwarming with Afton's friends welcoming her back... and I cry again for that as well, LOL. I've waited for Afton and Hamish's book for so long and I have to say Nolan is quite cruel for making me wait for it. But it's worth the wait and Nolan's idea to make it the last book of the series is brilliant because we get a full circle of every main characters.

4.5 Stars This was the book I was most looking forward to in this series and it lived up to the hype for me. Can't believe it's the last book in the series, but I'm super excited it's not goodbye to this town though! Hamish and Afton have always had feelings for one another, but there were too many obstacles in their way. Afton has returned home finally after she turned everyone's world upside down. It made my heart happy to see Afton home and all her friends welcome her back with open arms.

It's always a pleasure to read Ms. Nolan's stories. Single Dad in a Kilt closes the series and leaves a full promise for another series to come. In this book, Hamish and Afton are given the chance to work on their feelings with Hamish's daughter - Freya - blessings. But life is not easy and the couple goes from bliss to hell in a short time. The story is colorful, it has humor, and beautiful descriptions of places, people, and food, providing great entertainment!
