    The good points: I love the plot twist on the fake dating trope, I thought her dad being big in sports was a neat add and I adored how they genuinely seem to become best friends before jumping head first!

    However, (in-sequential spoilers ahead:) This MMC is everything you want and more BUT the author had to ruin it for me by saying he’d slept with his best friend, a girl who is now married to one us his other friends and is around A-LOT.

    Additionally saying that the FMC had a drunken night with her best friend (also female) and this bothered me more than anything. I despise when people insinuate that all women swing as long as their drinking which is what this felt like to me… Its just disrespectful to women.

    Lastly, the best friend she hooks up with drunk is going to be the FMC in the new book.. who throughout this book it’s made to seem that she’s down for whomever, whenever… for this fact I lost all interest in reading the next book.

    It had so much potential but sleeping around with friends and them all being intertwined in my life and new relationships is not something I’d care for in real life or in my books but to each their own. 🤷‍♀️

    Read the first book and had to keep reading into the series! This was a beautifully written.

    Angie may have had a rough past and thought she would forever be stuck it but Drake came along and swept her off her feet. Everything that man did changed her mind and heart slowly throughout the book until she just couldn’t resist anymore.

    I love a fake dating romance and this one is definitely in my top 3.

    Onto book 3 of the series and I already know it’s going to be great!

    I love a good fake dating trope! I love Drake and Angie! Drake and Angie didn't have a cute meet but that meet did make a good story for their faking dating. I love both of them love one tree hill, one of my favorite shows. The chemistry was there and they did get to know each other while watching one tree hill and it became more than fake. Drake never judged Angie's past and knows the kind of person she is now. I love that he didn't assume the worst of her but went to her a talked it out. Love when book has good communication with the MMC and MFC! I would give this book 4.5.

    This book follows Angie & Drake. Angie has been through a horrible break up but has spent time working on herself and is stronger for it. Her ex isnt ready to let her go though so she gets help convincing him to back off from the hot new guy thats just moved next door.. the guy her dog may, or may not have, scared senseless when they first met.

    Drake. The way he loved Angie. If you dont fall head over heels for this guy then id be surprised. Hes everything I wanted but didnt know I did. Thoughtful, honest, sweet, protective and genuine. A huge cinnamon roll, and hes a hockey player that also reads. *swoon* yet the mouth on him. Oh boy, I would eat him up. Angie was incredible, I adored her. She was the perfect example of how strong you can be, even when youre not feeling it inside. These two might seem like an unlikely couple but they were so good together.

    The OTH marathons are actual goals! I loved all the little references because I am a huuuge Peyton & Lucas fan.

    If you like fake dating, forced prox, he falls first (and harder), sport romances (Hockey boys are just wow) then grab this!! Anastasija is smashing it with these characters. Im already beyond excited for whats coming, Clay & Layla are going to be sensational. I know they will tear my heart apart. And Roman & Nevaeh will be a lot of fun.

    Evangelina was such a beautifully flawed MC that I just fell in love with. She had made mistakes in her past and still punishing herself for them. But when Drake came along and helped her change and realize her worth gosh those two were just amazing for each other.

    Evangelina was such a beautifully flawed MC that I just fell in love with. She had made mistakes in her past and still punishing herself for them. But when Drake came along and helped her change and realize her worth gosh those two were just amazing for each other.

    Drake was an absolute cinnamon roll of a MC. He can cuddle me anyday 😉 and I loved that we got a little bit of Layla and clay. Can not wait for their book.
