But then he meets Addie, the beautiful and intelligent scientist and the daughter of the man who did this to him, who's come to right her father's wrong. The minute they connect, he feels drawn to her. The minute he touches her, he feels the darkness inside him calm, and an obsessive passion stirs between them. Possessiveness rises inside Creed and his desire for her is all consuming.

Soon though, they will learn that Addie is his one true mate, his lifebond, the light to his darkness. A phenomenon no one quite understands and must be kept secret. But even as their bond develops into something greater than they imagined possible, danger erupts as some of Creed's kind rise up and become a threat. Creed is the only soldier powerful enough to end it all, but as he calls on that part of himself, the darkness stirs. The bond between Creed and Addie might be the only thing that saves the world. It also might be the death of Addie.

    Loving this style of book, I just wish it would’ve been longer as I’m just starting to get into it. Super soldiers are being created by using alien DNA. But problems are along the way. Recommend this book

    This is a freebie at the moment and is apparently an updated version of something the author previously published. At first I was quite taken by the idea of supersoldiers having been injected with alien DNA but somehow as this progressed it wasn't quite living up to its potential for me. I now realise that this isn't really the whole story but more a beginning and if I'm blunt I just didn't like how this ended. I understand wanting readers to continue the journey but somehow I wasn't convinced as I'm pretty sure if someone is unconscious for several days they would be examined but I cannot say more on that subject. I will say the central couple have chemistry from when they first meet and there are interesting ideas in play here and yet that ending for me felt very unsatisfactory and I will seriously consider whether to continue this series or not.

    The only thing that I didn't like about this book is that it is in 3 parts! Have read part 1 and can't wait to see where the story goes in parts 2 & 3! Will Addie & Creed be able to have a happy ever after, will they even get to see each other again? I can't wait to see how the story ends.

    Lots going on and with lots of mystery and uncertainty. Great character development in a human world that appears to be under threat from some form of aliens.

    Definitely hooked to learn more of this world.

    This book was so different from what I'm used to with Lisa Renee Jones’ stories and I loved every moment in this paranormal tale of supersoldiers that were created by alien DNA!

    I shouldn't have been surprised at how much I became immersed in this story. Just as with her other books, Lisa Renee Jones pulls you in from page one and keeps you entranced until the very end.

    Creed is obsessed with Addie. She's the most dangerous decision he's ever made. She's sure that he can protect them from everyone and anything; especially from her father, the General, who's the mastermind for creating the supersoldiers.

    If you love good tales with wonderful characters, intrigue, and hot steamy scenes, you will love this series! Highly recommend you give this series a try! You won't be disappointed.

    I haven’t read anything by Lisa Renee Jones in a while. I love what I have read by her but I just have been into so many different authors and genre that I haven’t been keeping up with a lot of old favourites.

    Anyway, I liked this book a lot. Well written and kept me reading.

    It's an amazing storyline, one you could not put down,... and I am going to be impatient for more.
