I wasn’t supposed to be born. And Dad made sure I knew it. Taking everything from me. Not anymore I’m going to break him, slowly. I always thought I was broken, until I saw her. One look into her eyes I could see the broken dove she was, and I was going to enjoy fixing her, only to break her again. Until I found out the truth.
Meadow
He took everything from me. Now I give it to him, to keep my little sister safe. But what does it do for me? Nothing, but make me a whore for them all. Men don’t care, Until Logan. I’ve never spoken to him, but for some reason he's put himself in my life. He is no different than any other man, or is he?
I was torn about this one. It started out so well! Logan was a much easier MMC to like, especially when compared to Blake. I also liked Meadow as a FMC. By the halfway point, Logan started to wear on me. He was incredibly selfish - getting upset at Meadow for not telling him about her stepfather raping her for years. Honestly, their “relationship” up to that point was never one about trust. I can’t blame her for keeping silent. Logan wasn’t forthcoming either.
I pressed on, still wanting to see how it ended. But I just couldn’t. I couldn’t get past the writing style. So many “he shouted” or “she shouted” - to the point all interactions between the characters must have been at the top of their lungs. The conversations are redundant and often unclear.
Am I curious how it ends? Yes. But I just can’t finish.
I loved this story so much 😭 Logan and Meadow were two broken people in so much pain that needed each other to heal from their trauma. I loved the plot and the love story. Ahhh Logan owns my heart.
This story was fantastic. I loved Logan and Meadow! Logan might have been rough around the edges but he had reasons. But the way he and Meadow connected was so amazing. I loved all the character growth.
I really hope to see Cain in future books or his very own story!
This is the story of Logan and Meadow. Both have extremely traumatic pasts, and it really effects their current lives. Check TW's before reading this one. It's a dark romance. Personally, I didn't think it was that dark but some of what they go through can absolutely be triggering if you're not prepared.
Logan is a very possessive hero, which I love. He's a college hockey player. And he is struggling with a lot of family issues. Meadow has a lot going on with family as well, especially her sister. She's going to the same college as an art student. I don't want to say much more so I give you any spoilers.
I liked this, but I feel like there was too much going on. Each one has to deal with a lot on their own and together and it just felt a bit repetitive at times. Some parts moved quickly and were easy to read and other times I had to concentrate on not skimming parts. I didn't, but I'll admit there were some parts I thought about it.
Overall, this was an enjoyable book, and I liked the characters. It was great seeing them overcome and fight so hard for themselves and each other.
Logan has known Meadow was his from the moment he saw her dancing in her cage at the club. To bad Meadow doesn't know she belongs to him.
Logan lives with his 2 best friend's/his brothers for the past few years. All 3 of them hate their fathers and plan to get rid of them the moment they graduate college. They've each had a hard life due to their fathers greedy ways. Logan wants his mother to leave his father, but she's always refused. Even though she isn't happy with him and his dad is always cheating on his mother.
One night Logan and his brothers are called to a new club. The owner Cain wants Logan to do a hit. They are the Vipers, which means they kill people who deserve it. They know nothing about Cain, and can't find anything about him. It's like he's a ghost. Logan tells him he'll pick up the file if he tells him who the girl in the cage is dancing.
Meadow has had a hard life that she has kept secret from everyone. Her mother is deaf and she takes care of her little sister while working and attending college. She has a boyfriend, but refuses to do more than kiss him. She can't leave her sister alone with her step-dad or things will happen to her. She hates her life and wishes she could kill the man she lives with.
Until Logan crashes into her life at a party. He kisses her in front of her boyfriend. Does she know Logan, no. Even though Logan says she is his now. To bad she didn't get that memo. He boyfriend is who makes her happy, to bad her body wants Logan. When her boyfriend tries to force her into doing more and puts his hands on her, Logan gets a call from Cain. That's all it takes to move Meadow to his college and away from her ex. Did I mention Logan is the goalie for the college hockey team?
To bad Logan has no idea what is coming into his life when he finally learns about Cain. On top of it all, he catches what Meadow is going through at home. He doesn't know what to make of it all and is confused, but he knows he can't let Meadow go.
This romance story is dark and full of twist and turns and upside downs. Do I like these guys that take what they want and don't care who it hurts in the process, no, not really. But my heart does hurt for Logan when he finds out the truth about Cain. I understand his feelings towards that. I did not see that coming after all. Plus, I hate what these 3 guys have been through due to their fathers. If you don't like dark, twisted guys who are possessive and stop at nothing to get what they want. Even if they have to take it. Then this series is not for you.
Tropes: 🏒 Hockey Romance 🖤 Dark 🏒 Possessive/Obsessive MMC 🖤 Touch Her and Die 🏒 Forced Proximity 🖤 Into Pain during Sex

I liked this book better as opposed to the first book. The characters are better and behave less unhinged, although some scenes are cringy and dubious of sexual consensual. Logan and Meadow, both characters, share a lot of darkness and internal demons. The internal darkness/demons were created by those who supposedly should be protecting their children; instead, they both received a shitty childhood. At first, I did not understand Logan's hatred towards his father, as he seemed like an easygoing person. However, I later realized that the reason behind his resentment was much deeper - his father never wanted a child, and Logan felt unloved and unwanted. The plot unfolds when Logan discovers he has a brother and his mother was married to another man. Also, the author describes the type of abuse he received from his father and how helpless he was in helping his mother with the abusive father. Meadow is a strong character. She works and studies hard to get out of her current situation. Meadow's character was more relatable to her struggles and impotent/powerless home situation. I understand Meadow's reasons for having trouble with trust issues and being reserved about her past. It is not easy to open up and recount her past. However, I do not understand why her mother does not notice the daughter's behavior change and the frequent fights at home. The mother is deaf, not blind. There are numerous unanswered questions in this book, and I assume that the resolution of specific events and the plot will only come at the end of the series. It seems to me that once all the characters have their own standalone book, the three main characters will have a book that focuses on their strategies for dealing with their father. I want to mention that I appreciated the latest book in the series more than the previous one. However, I did find certain parts of the book to be repetitive and uninteresting, so I ended up skimming through them. Despite this, I am still interested in continuing the series to learn more about the characters, particularly Travis. In my opinion, Travis is the least likable character in the series.
This series is starting to be one of my top favorites in the sports trope. I thought I loved Rich Boy (which I freaking did) but I absolutely adored Goal Boy. These boys are beyond damaged and when they set their sights on a girl, they become obsessed and will not give up until they have them in their hands. They are jealous beyond belief and I loved how possessive they got over their girls.
When Logan set his eyes on Meadow, he saw a broken dove and he wanted to put her back together just so he can break her all over again, but in a good way. He wanted to set her free of whatever it was that she was hiding. Logan was determined to find out what it was that was breaking her and he was there to protect her. He would do anything for her ... even as far as killing for her.
Logan also had demons himself that he didn't like to talk about, but he was willing to open up to Meadow, if only she would tell him what was going on with her.
Aside of that, Logan, Blake and Travis also have issues with their fathers that they need to settle and none of their dad's are anything great to talk about and all three guys are going to do the impossible to handle them the way they should.
There was hockey involved but I was more interested on the story behind the boys and their partners :)
Goal Boy was phenomenal, I was captivated and totally hooked on this story and I just couldn't get enough!
Logan and Meadow have been though ALOT in their lives…
Meadows step dad is a horrible person to put it lightly….
Logan HATES his dad and wants to legit 💀 him….
Logan is the goalie for their hockey team.
Meadow works at a dance club and Logan sees her and instantly wants to find out who she is….
His obsession starts……
She is seeing a guy named Ryan but that doesn’t stop Logan from going after what he wants….. Her…
Shit gets wild…. He isn’t a bully but he likes crazy/kinky sex and pain so he is extremely dark in the bedroom…
Logan asks her about her past and she never reply’s…. When she ends up hurt and he wants to know who did it she doesn’t tell him right away….
A major secret comes out but only after Logan has to rescue Meadow….
He is beyond hurt and pissed because he could have helped if she would have told him what was going on…
Logan is insanely protective over what he loves and will legit burn the world down for those people.
Logan has never had a girlfriend until her. I love how hard he loves her. I love that he wants to take care of her. I love that you can tell he loves her even before he says it. I love that we got more of Blake and August!
Settle in grab on tight and prepare yourself for one wild ride because Goal Boy is like being on the wildest ride at the amusement park . It’s a emotional rollercoaster that plays on all your emotions in ways you won’t even be expecting. You’ll experience everything from being completely speechless, to yelling outta pure frustration. Your heart will feel like it’s beating so fast and then bam being crushed with tears coming down your cheeks , you’ll be glued to the edge of your seat anticipating what will happen from one second to the next . And you’ll find yourself rooting so freaking hard . Something pulled me to Logan and Meadow from the moment I met them . Both are such complex characters who have been though a lot of trauma in their pasts . Both are still dealing with obstacles and demons in their future . There just are not any perfect words to express all the reasons you absolutely need to read this book or to do it enough justice . All I can say is that I was completely blown away from the get go not to mention devouring every single word to the point I pretty much forgot to make dinner . Because yes it’s just that addicting. Intrigue, suspense, twists and turns, dark , raw and gritty moments, heartbreaking and heartfelt, secrets , tragedy, love , passion, oh so steamy moments, family , friendships , obstacles, drama , possessive - obsession anti hero’s , a kick@@s heroine , RUBY nailed it and delivered a journey that not only unforgettable but unputdownable as well . I’m obsessed, completely obsessed 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Goal Boy by Ruby Wolff was such a rollercoaster ride of a book. My emotions were everywhere in this book. This book is a dark hockey sports romance that touches on dark themes and dark topics. It is the second book in the series and has a character cross-over from Rich Boy; you will want to read Rich Boy first since the plot continues through the series. I thought this book was original and beautifully written with vivid detail. I loved this book from beginning to end. The characters were complex and had contagious chemistry. I loved the action, suspense, drama, and spice. The spice was scorching hot. My heart dropped, and my stomach twisted throughout this book. I wanted to reach into the book and hug the main characters. Be prepared to have a tissue with you for the tears that might leak out.
Meadow is such a strong and determined character. She was trying to survive and protect the people she loved. Logan was OTT possessive and stalkerish. I loved his character so much. He was loyal, determined, and a filthy talking Alpha male. He always got what he wanted and wouldn't stop until it was his. Their chemistry was hot and spicy, and I loved the push and pull both gave each other throughout this book. The growth both went through was heartwarming. -By Brooke

tropes: dark college hockey romance, jealous/possessive hero, forced proximity, childhood trauma, branding, dub con/non con
Logan + Meadow are something else. This was my first book by this author and I did enjoy it. It was an entertaining and insane read. I did find myself at the beginning struggling to get invested with the characters because the build up for them is kind of slow. However, once you get to that part where things are happening it’s like nothing ever stops. These two love hard, fight hard and have a ton of shit to go through. Both have had traumatic pasts they have to overcome. At times I felt like there was a bit too much going in at once because you just never quite knew what to focus on. I did love how protective and over the top Logan was for Meadow. As soon as he decides she’s his… it’s game over for anyone who ever so much as breathes at her wrong.
I’m super intrigued to see what comes next in this series! If you’re a dark hockey romance lover than I suggest you give this one a try.
*please note to check trigger warnings, this is a dark romance and touches on intense themes.
This book delves into some dark themes and topics within the context of a hockey romance. It's actually the second installment in a series, so I highly recommend reading the first book, 'Rich Boy', for better context and continuity.
The story mainly follows Logan and Meadow, both of whom have experienced traumatic events in their past that still haunt them today. Logan is a college hockey player with some family struggles, while Meadow is an art student dealing with her own familial issues, particularly with her sister.
What I found compelling about this book was how the characters' personal histories impact their present lives, especially Logan's possessiveness and Meadow's emotional scars. While their chemistry was certainly sizzling hot, what kept me engaged was the drama and twists that unfolded throughout the narrative. The push-and-pull dynamic between the protagonists made for a captivating read, and witnessing their growth and transformation was truly heartwarming.
I loved loved loved Goal Boy. The story....the plotline....the characters....the writing style, everything was amazing. The darkness was something I freaking adored. The things we read about when one of them falls for someone is top tier dark and let's just say I am looking forward to read about Travis. The way Logan cared for Meadow...how he was always there for her...how he quickly started to adore Poppy, his friendship with Blake and Travis.. everything was so sweet. And Meadow has some iron willpower cause she was one of the strongest characters in the book. I love how she started to realise that Logan actually cared about her, how she realised she wasn't alone anymore, the way she took care of Poppy...they were the most beautiful part of the book. The spice is hot but the emotional level in the book is also pretty high. I enjoyed reading every second of it and want to know the things about Blake and August's past.
I also received an ARC of this book. This was another steamy read in the series, but also one where there are tough stories, past trauma, and new ways to protect, get revenge, and triumph over evil. Logan has a heart of gold, one that overcame a heck of a lot as a child at the hands of his father, but learned to craft the pain into pleasure and into motivation. Meadow also had a very tough up bringing facing a lot of abuse, but Poppy was always her light and her purpose. I enjoyed the insta love nature of their story, the insta dominance and protection, Logan’s nickname for Meadow, and the way he teaches her his ways of using the pain to bring the most pleasure. Plus, I love seeing our trio with each other, playing hockey, and getting further in their mission against their families, all while having big hearts and doing anything in their (rather large) means to protect who they love. Lots more revealed and more movement made. Can’t wait to see what is in store for Travis!
I’ll start out by telling you to check the trigger warnings for this book, because there are some messed up things that happen. I was not prepared for the emotional roller coaster Goal Boy had me on. If you love dark romance with a MMC who is all touch her and die, with some excellent kink play then this is for you. Logan sees Meadow in a cage dancing at a club and he knows she has to be his. Only Meadow has a boyfriend, but Logan doesn’t let that get in his way. And of course the boyfriend turns out to be a totally garbage human that Logan makes pay for what he does to Meadow. Poor Meadow has a past that’s so dark she can’t talk about it. And Logan wants to know everything and he takes it out on her body when she won’t talk. This book is a great dark romance, I love it when series are interconnected standalones. This book had my heart breaking for Meadow and cheering for Logan. I can’t wait for Puck Boy so we can get Travis’s story.
GOAL BOY by Ruby Wolff is an emotional read. Logan Miller is a rich college hockey goalie. Meadow is a poor college art student who works as a stripper. Both are broken. The minute Logan sees Meadow; he sets out to fix her and break her again. He wants her to be free from what haunts her.
Both characters had traumatic childhoods. They both have secrets and scares. Both have horrible fathers. GOAL BOY was full of drama and twists. I love the bond between Logan and his roommates Blake and Travis. I like that Meadow and Blake’s girlfriend August form a friendship. Poppy is an adorable child who puts a smile on your face.
This is the first book that I have read by Ruby Wolf. I enjoyed her writing style. This is a dark sports romance. It may trigger some people. I want to read Blake and August story, RICK BOY. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Goal Boy is a dark college sports romance and is Logan and Meadow’s story.
Logan Derek Miller and Meadow Holmes both have tortured pasts and presents but for very different reasons. Once Logan sets his sights on someone all bets are off, she will be his whether she wants it or not but believe me when he finds the one to love, he loves with everything he is and woe be tide anyone that tries to hurt her. Meadow is caught in a threat she can’t see any way out of and thus agrees to what she’s being forced to do, to protect Poppy, her little sister.
This is a great dark spicy romance, with broken characters that you will be routing for and the twists will keep you on your toes, but I would say that if you have any triggers, then check the TW’s before you go in.
I can’t wait for the next in the series, it’s 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me
Goal Boy is the second book in Ruby Wolff's Hockey series. This is a complete standalone, but it's best to read Rich Boy first as some characters from previous books appear. I'm so loving this series!!
💜OTT Jealous/possessive H 💜He Falls First 💜Dark Hockey Romance 💜Forced proximity 💜CSA- referenced/Childhood trauma (from both MC/FMC) 💜Violence 💜Touch her and 💀 💜Domestic Abuse/Domestic Violence 💜Dub con/non con 💜Branding
We initially met Logan as a side character in Rich Boy. This is his and Meadow’s story! This was soooo good!! There is sooo much happening in this story. The complexity, the plot...the smųttt. Both Logan and Meadow have been through their own versions of Hell and trauma. The growth is absolutely phenomenal! It did get a little slow at times, but DEFINITELY worth the read!!
Dang these books are dark and twisty. While this one was an easier read for me since I knew Meadow wanted Logan from the start, Logan was still as morally charcoal as Blake and had me internally curling into a ball at times. He was not a coddler, that's for sure.
Meadow was a bad a m f and I freaking loved her. Her story broke my heart into a million pieces... I knew it was bad, but the more we found out the more I wanted to sob for her, I don't know how one human is supposed to take that much and still stand with the grace she did.
There were three or four possibilities for the third act and it was quite the roller-coaster as we dealt with them all. This story gave you hit after hit of excitement and twists and I really loved them all. I'm really excited to see what Travis has in store for us in what I'm assuming is the end to this epic series.
Logan y Meadow.

Dark and twisted is an understatement when it comes to this book!
Logan and Meadow both have had a lot of trauma in their lives, both past and present. Logan wants their demons to dance together. While Meadow thinks she needs a safe easy going guy in her life. Not everyone is who they seem! Logan is just the person that she needs to help heal herself. He will find a way to get her one dance at a time.
There is a lot and I mean A LOT happening throughout the book. It can make your head spin sometimes. I did have to put it down just to wrap my head around everything that was going on. The story line between Logan and Meadow is great! It’s all of the added stuff that takes a bit to understand.
*While Goal Boy is a standalone, Rich Boy (a standalone, dark, hockey highschool romance) was written prior to Goal Boy and will give some insight to the characters & their past referenced in Goal Boy if read first, but is not necessary*
*Please check the trigger warnings prior to reading! Some included are violence, childhood SA, childhood trauma, SA & domestic abuse/violence*
Noah's dad made it a point to make sure he knew he was never supposed to be born and was not wanted. When Noah sees Meadow, he recognizes the same dark, broken look in her eyes that matches his from his past. He sets out to fix her, only to break her again and make her his.
The only word I have for this book is wow. I don't even know how to review it without giving so many spoilers away. I read Ruby's book Rich Boy earlier in the year so I was familiar with the characters and their history but Logan & Meadow's story is much darker and trauma filled compared to Blake & August's in my opinion. I was not expecting the twists & turns this was going to take and the plot was drama/trauma filled from start to finish. Not much triggers me but I did have to take a few breathers so please check the trigger warnings! I am definitely looking forward to Travis' book to see what happens with his love life, the 3 best friends and their dads!

This is Definitely a top read of the year. First, right here this dedication “ To all the girls who love to hear three words - On Your Knees” had me hooked and I didn’t even start the book. It's been a few books since I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room and this book gave me all the damn emotions. I was nervous, sad and anxious. Logan and Meadow each have bagge they need to deal with. Neither is in a good place and when they get together we see it play out. I love myself an alpha possessive hockey player (yes queen). Meadow is a good FMC and with Logan the chemistry and how the relationships play’s out in the story is amazing. Great Read.
Thank you @wordsmithpublicity and @authorrubywolff for the arc my review is my own.
The story of Meadow and Logan is intense, emotional, unpredictable, deliciously steamy and totally consuming. A tumultuous journey filled with suspense, deep pain, obsessive/possessive behaviour, determination, action, unforgettable characters and a perfect HEA. I couldn’t read fast enough to satisfy my curiosity or expectations, but at the end I was sad to leave the brilliant world of the Vipers behind, I’m so looking forward to the next book. This is my first Ruby Wolff novel and I’m hooked. Logan is now among my favourite alpha anti-hero book boyfriends and I can’t wait to read more from this very talented author. Please read the trigger warnings because some heavy stuff takes place.
I received an ARC from Wordsmith Publicity and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
Logan has only ever known loathing and abuse from his father, but he does have the college hockey team he plays for and his friend Blake and Travis. From the first time he sees Meadow he senses a kindred soul and there isn’t anything he won’t do to help her heal and claim her as his own.
There are no words to describe the home situation that Meadow is dealing with. While attending college she works as an exotic dancer so that she can protect the one person who means everything to her. She can’t afford to be distracted by Logan and let him know her secrets as she believes that he will only disappoint her in the end.
These characters are both so damaged by the hand that life has dealt them but are perfect for each other in every way as two broken parts make each other whole.
