Please Help Us Distribute 2,500 Of Our Teaching Calendars!

After months of work, our teaching calendar for 2024 is ready. Each one cost us $2.50 to produce. We are selling them in batches of 10 at $20 per batch. However, we are not doing this as a fundraiser. Our main goal is to put them into the hands of people who will read them–especially students and others younger than 30. We are giving them without charge to those who would learn the most from them.

If you can help us distribute these calendars in any way, please let us know.  Please contact us if you can help us distribute these calendars through any school, library, historical society or veterans group.  We would also like to have them available at waiting rooms of doctors’ offices, restaurants or other businesses.  One of our members is having them given out at liquor stores before the holidays! However, we only want to distribute a few at a time to people who actually want to read them.

Please call us at (609) 927-7333 or email us at info@libertyandprosperity.com.  Or meet us at any Saturday breakfast discussion 9:30 to 10:30AM at Sal’s Cafe, 501 New Rd, Somers Pt, NJ.  Thanks!

Each calendar is perfect for planning events and appointments. However, it also tells an interesting true story about an important historical figure or event you will want to know about.

For example, our June page tells the story of John Lake Young. He was born in 1853.  As a teenager, Young worked as an Atlantic City lifeguard in the summer and as a skilled carpenter during the off-season. One of his first jobs was erecting the large wooden building shaped like an elephant – Lucy, that still stands in Margate. It was built by a real estate developer to attract curious tourists from Atlantic City to vacant lots he was selling nearby. . .  At age 30, Young was doing patch and repair work on the Boardwalk when he met. . .

Our February page tells the story of George Henry White, a former slave from North Carolina who later became a lawyer, a Congressman, and the founder of Whitesboro in Middle Township, Cape May County.  It also tells the stories of black millionaires Sara Spencer Washington of Atlantic City and John McKee, the founder of McKee City in Egg Harbor Township in Atlantic County.

Above Image:  Al Capone is third from the right. Nucky Johnson is second from the right. Nucky claimed that this photo published by the New York Journal in 1929 was a fake composite. Nucky said, “I never walked with Al Capone and I never wore a summer suit in the winter!”

March tells the true stories of Commodore Kuehnle, Nucky Johnson and the real Boardwalk Empire.  Other months tell the fascinating but forgotten stories of Jonathan Pitney, Skinny D’Amato, George Hamid, Richard Stockton, the building of the Million Dollar Pier and the founding of Ocean City.

Our calendar was written so that old timers and newcomers alike will find it interesting and informative.

It is especially written for students and other young people who were never taught of how America was once a “land of boundless opportunities”.  It was an exceptional country where almost anyone from any race or ethnic group could succeed through education, training, planning, discipline and work.

Each story is carefully documented so they can quickly and easily fact check and learn more about each of the stories we tell. They may find our calendar helpful in choosing topics for academic research projects.

We have 2,500 calendars available for distribution between now and January.  Please help us put them where they will do the most good.

We are selling them for $5 each or ten calendars for $20.  We are also trying to have bought, used and distributed by every school, library, and historical society in South Jersey. Please contact us to buy our calendars or to place them with a school, library, historical society, or other organization.

Please make payments through the Donate tab of our Libertyandprosperity.com  or to our office at 453 Shore Road, Somers Point, NJ 08244.  For more information, please contact us at info@libertyandprosperity.com or leave a voicemail at 609-927-7333.

Thanks!
