Wow! 🤯 This was a different read than my usual Fantasy/ Dark Romance books, and the timing is just crazy! 99.9% of the time, this book would not have been SO RELATABLE for me. It just so happened that this week came with a rough mental health spiral- which has never before affected my 15-year relationship with my husband. Unfortunately, this week, my inner dialogue was even more hurtful than normal and fed on my feelings of never being good enough. I am fortunate to have found my soulmate as a teenager, and he was able to help me work through my detrimental thoughts. 💙Normally, I would 🚫 not share something so personal. But I don't think it is a coincidence that I was chosen as an ARC reader for this book within days of experiencing something so similar to what happens with the main characters. Thankfully, the similarity ends with the destructive thoughts because my husband is so in tune with me.⚜️Both the FMC and MMC struggle with their inner thoughts and being open and honest with their partner. Holding back their truths for fear of the consequences of voicing them led to a huge rift in their marriage. This book follows their journey through trying to mend that rift. Will they succeed? Normally, I would 🚫 not share something so personal. But I don't think it is a coincidence that I was chosen as an ARC reader for this book within days of experiencing something so similar to what happens with the main characters. Thankfully, the similarity ends with the destructive thoughts because my husband is so in tune with me.
