*Now a complete series*
The stars of my university’s hockey team always have each other’s backs. Like family. Now, they have mine, too.

My sister’s death nearly broke me, and the monster who hurt her nearly killed me when I got too close to the truth. But I’m alive… thanks to the ones I used to call my enemies.

Vince, Ash, Tate, and Micah.

Things are heating up quickly, and the closer we get to the fire, the more we get burned. But it’s tough to stay vigilant when we’re not even sure who the true enemy is.

They certainly know who we are, though, and they’re not shy about exposing our secrets. The fact that they know things we planned to take to our graves is unsettling. To the point that it has us paranoid, constantly watching our backs.

Our world is all chaos and pain right now, but we find solace in each other. The only thing we know for sure is that no matter what comes at us, we’re strong enough to face it.

Together.

This is a college bully RH trilogy, with a murder mystery plot. I wrote a longer review for book 1, Break the Girl, so, this one will be shorter.

Overall, I enjoyed this trilogy, and this was a mostly satisfying ending to it. I didn’t love it, and won’t think about it much after finishing it. It’s a solid “middle of the road” RH: it didn’t blow me away, but it also didn’t annoy me too much, like a lot of that genre does (like the Rich Demons of Darkwood series by CR Jane, or the WITSEC series by Ashley Rostek).

The characters were decent – Stevie isn't one of my favorite RH heroines, like Lavinia in Dukes of Ruin, or Jolie in Storm the Gates But, she’s also not too annoying, the way heroines in this genre can sometimes be. She’s average. She had a few irritating moments – like when the villain told her to face him alone, and she actually listened to him. Come on! But in general, she was fine.

She did kinda have "betraying body syndrome" around the guys (that thing where a heroine is mad at the heroes, but falls into bed with them BEFORE working through their issues). Usually, that bugs me a lot. For some reason, in this trilogy, it worked for me. I think because unlike in other RHs that have that (like the Madison Kate series by Tate James), in this story, the guys weren't keeping secrets from her while that was happening. But, if you're someone who can't tolerate that at all, then this trilogy will get on your nerves.

I do have some nitpicks: the RH group should have been 3 guys, not 4. I didn’t dislike Tate, but he felt like an irrelevant last-minute addition to the group, and he continued feeling like he was just kind of “there,” through the end. In general, Stevie’s relationship with the guys could have had more depth. I like the guys, and I liked that this story had a real plot. But when the murder mystery came into the forefront in the last 2 books, it felt like the “relationship development” part of the story got lost in the woods, a little.

The main unsatisfying thing about this ending is that I disliked how Stevie was WAY too forgiving of her mom, and her former best friend. I didn’t like how the ending implied they were one big happy family, and everything is fine! Stevie really should have made her mom work harder to make up for all the bullshit dad stuff, and she should have permanently cut her former best friend out of her life.

My review of the first book still stands: I wouldn’t say this trilogy is amazing, or a must read. I do think it's a solid college bully RH, and it hits the spot if you’re in the mood for that. It's not the best in that genre, but it's also not the worst. It's "middle of the road." I'd say the same thing about this author: her stories are usually not amazing and not my favorites, but they're solidly entertaining. I'll continue to read what she puts out.

This is a reverse harem trilogy and as nice the plot was in it and as satisfying the end was with the buildup throughout the book, it'd be wrong to call this a reverse harem because it felt like she was dating her step brother and had 4 different boyfriends.

Three books and not one group scene. That's such a shame because it'd be SO hot to read a group scene with these characters I know it would have hit but it's such a shame there was NONE.

Maybe a threesome which got me riled up for a group scene but nah.

Sick Wicked Love is the third book in the Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series, and I really didn't expect it to wrap up like that.

The actions of the characters are repetitive in this one. The plot itself is good, but the wrap up was such a let-down. I really don't want to spoil anything to anyone who might enjoy this series more than I did, but I will say that the big revile was really not what I expected. There is such a build up with the discoveries and everything that happens, that the ending made it a bit meh.

Overall, I like the characters and the story was interesting. If you are looking for an easy read with taboo topics, spice, hockey and mystery, then you should give this series a change.

Ugh what an absolute letdown of a final book. I was hoping that after that sophomore slump of a second book this would finish with a bang. Nope. Stevie was still annoying. Seriously, how? How did she get 4 men to fall in love with her? She had zero personality. The guys were boring as hell in this book too. And what a let down of a who done it. The counselor? Wow, how original. As soon as he was introduced I was like well there’s the guy. I’m not going to lie I thought it was going to end up being Stevie’s bio dad or someone in that storyline because he was just thrown in there and was this perfect guy? Idk he was kind of sus. I loved the first book- but the follow ups were not worth it.

Ngl I saw the plot twist coming but it was nice to have the mystery solved. I liked this book. I would’ve given it a higher rating if the epilogue would’ve been more about Stevie and her guys but it was cute. I loved Dusty. Nice read. I would recommend this series. Toodles!

Sadly this series just got more and more boring. It could have been one book with the amount of nothing that happens. The majority of all three books was the FMC needing to be consoled, and Micah going rogue and making everyone walk on eggshells around him. Plus we had three whole books in a why choose romance and not one group scene. Even the bonus chapter that I had to sign up for their email list to get wasn't worth it (a fade to black scene that still ends on the same HFN the book ends on).

This series was fun in the first book, tolerable in the second book, and then just kept going and going like the third LOTR movie.

And these characters, man. They're all tstl. Despite having been attacked while alone in another book, the FMC still decides that when she has to talk to someone to get more clues to solve her sister's mystery, she needs to do it completely and totally alone. She won't even let them drive her places and wait for her outside, which makes no sense when you know you're being stalked, and murder has just been put on the table for your future. And then she goes to confront someone who she thinks is not only a rapist, but also a serial killer atp and the stalker, and she's just like, let me go alone and enter his house. Dumbass.

And don't get me started on the one MMC who has zero control of his emotions. Everything that happens he has to go confront his arch nemesis, regardless of whether or not he has proof that it's him, but all he does is threaten him and then attack him/his home every single time, making everything worse for them. Can someone please collect this manchild?

And let's talk about the cam boy (which, yes, thank you for that character arc, because that was awesome) who says her name while live with her on camera. Why did they even bother covering their identifying marks? And she also said his the last time they were live in another book. And they're shocked when someone finds out it's them. Y'all are dumb.

They're all at best immature. When the step siblings' secret is revealed to their parents that they're seeing each other, the two of them spend three days hiding away in his apartment instead of facing their parents and telling them the truth. And even after all of them have professed their love, she can't bring herself to tell her mom she's with all of them, so she just tells her "it's complicated, but our lines of communication are open." Girl please, this is 80% of the way into the final book. Istg I can't with this.

The villains were obvious each time they came up, and I can't believe she forgave the one that she did. Smdh I would not be forgiving someone who used my sister like that. Her entire past few months have been lived to get closure after losing her sister, and she's gonna forgive the person who strung her along, got her pregnant, and still didn't actually want her? Although considering how easily she forgave her guys for their actions in the first book, I knew she'd be a pushover.

Also ended on an HFN, with her STILL telling everyone her relationship with her guys is "complicated" and them still hiding their relationship when around their families, even on the last page. All of that drama spread out across three books and they don't get an HEA? Wish I knew that before starting bc I might not have read it at all.

Anyway, the one (1) good thing about this book was that her guys treated her very well. Even during the bullying part of the first book, before they knew the truth and had to grovel, they were good to her. They were sweet and devoted and touchy feely and vocal in all the right ways, and their relationship was very cute.

The thing is, I expected a tiny bit more. It felt rushed, we could see every "plot twist", discovery or whatever the hell we can call it, from a thousand miles away, it was just fucking predictable all the time, and then everything was just a okay, her not explaining to her family she had multiple boyfriends was not cool, and by the 70% mark, I just wanted it to be over, cause there was no more new info to be acquired, it was crystal clear the who, the why and the how.

The final conclusion to Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series Sick Wicked Love by authors Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne had you jumping back into the story with picking right up from the cliffhanger Cold As Ice left us hanging on.

Sick Wicked Love may have been the finale to Stevie and Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate’s story.
But that didn’t mean authors Rachel and Nikki were going to make it easy when it came to finally revealing all and granting us the answers we had been searching for over the course of the series within Break The Girl and Cold As Ice.
They definitely made you work for it, taking you on the final conclusion of this adventurous rollercoaster ride that was the narrative to Stevie and Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate’s story.

From the many ups and downs, loops and hurdles, it was no surprise it led to further drama, new conflict alongside the old too, and even more secrets from more mysteries coming out of the woodwork from all that was alluded too. Building the suspense level even further and higher.
Ultimately ensuring us to be gripped on tight, whilst slowly yet surely moving further along our seats until we were on the edge in anticipation, when the showdown came to fruition, finally receiving the answers to all the major questions that have been plaguing us since the beginning in what was a real page turner to the point it had me devouring this book within half a day. Free falling into the abyss that was the conclusion to Stevie and Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate’s story.

Despite Sick Wicked Love focusing majorly on the storyline development, authors Rachel and Nikki did still shine the spotlight on the relationship development.
Seeing Stevie and her relationship with Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate evolve with flourishing from further growth, becoming deeper and stronger than ever.
And even with the little hiccups that came along the way, this found family unit they became showcased the strong connection they had built leading to a tight bond they formed with being able to overcome the obstacles that was thrown their way in the final leg of their journey.
Can't forget about the feels they brought to the table throughout from the emotions that came pouring out. Even more so when it came to sharing some passionate steamy moments.
They all sure knew how to stoke the fire from the heat they packed with getting down and dirty and making it spicy AF.

With the clues dropped in Sick Wicked Love, it did have me predicting who the stalker could be. So when Rachel and Nikki pulled back the curtains for the big reveal, it was no surprise to me when my predication ended up being correct.

Even though in the end everything was revealed from all that had transpired over the course of the series.
Honestly for me personally it felt a little insufficient, not only from the lack of in-depth detail Rachel and Nikki had me expecting. But also it seemed like there were still some questions left unanswered, at least for me.
Plus there was the case of how it did feel somewhat anticlimactic IMO, not only because of the who, but also because it had me expecting a little more from it all.
Ultimately leaving me feeling a little disappointed and unsatisfied by the climax results.

It needs to be said, even though Stevie is FMC and this is mainly considered her story being told. Not gonna lie, it did have me wishing to see more from the guys perspective, considering they seemed to be reduced to more of secondary characters with not seeing much from their POVs in comparison to the previous books from the series where they were showcased more.

They say all good things must come to an end, but knowing that Sick Wicked Love was Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series with saying goodbye to Stevie, Ash, Micah, Vince and Tate definitely felt bittersweet.
The way this series had ahold of me, it wasn’t surprising that Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne had me wanting more. Especially from my fav Ash, who will be dearly missed by me.
And yet knowing that Sick Wicked Love ended on a high with a well deserved HEA makes closing the chapter on this series worth it.

Sick Wicked Love is the third and final book in the Savage Kings of Bradwyn U trilogy by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne, picking up where the second cliffhanger left off as Stevie continues to search for the truth behind her sister’s attack and death. The more she digs, the more chaos seems to be unleashed. Danger is lurking, eyes are everywhere, the guys are trying to keep her safe, but tempers flare, secrets are revealed, and the twists keeps coming!! I couldn’t put this book down as the drama and angst kept building and building! It was a blast to watch it all unfold, even though it was an emotional journey even for me! I loved watching the relationships evolve that Stevie has formed with each of the guys. The spicy chemistry was still there with each of them, although I was surprised that there wasn’t a group scene this time.🥵😏 I love all of them for different reasons, but Vince is still my favorite. There are a few things I would have liked to have seen regarding how the unconventional relationship would play out in the world. Overall, this was a great conclusion to a unique trilogy that I’m so glad I read!! Don’t miss these books for a riveting ride of suspense, drama, and so much spice!! Be sure to read them in order, and check out the TW/CWs because the content runs on the dark and sensitive side.

I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Well, I can’t say that I found this last book riveting. There were some good elements, but for the most part, it was kind of…. meh.

The whole mystery thing became convoluted and drawn out, and the culprit was immediately obvious (you honestly can’t miss it). Maybe that was intentional, and if so, well done.

But all of it…. Just seemed a bit cyclical. Something bad happens, they react, they have sex, something bad happens, they react…. etc etc. There doesn’t seem to be a bridge in this song. If that makes any sense.

Also, if any of these people had a major at this college, I sure as heck don’t know what they were. If anyone’s major was mentioned, I clearly zoned. And several unanswered questions about many things, but kind of pointless to wonder about the answers now.

Still, there’s a HEA, and an epilogue. I didn’t hate the series, but I didn’t love it, either.

what a great way to end the series!! rachel & nikki killed this and i’m so happy with the way everything concluded!

we’ve been through this big journey with stevie & the boys; getting to see how their relationships evolved was so much fun (and stressful at times). they all grew so much, as individuals & as a family throughout the series

my girl stevie has been THROUGH it & deserved to know the truth about mel and who was messing with them and i’m glad she got that!!

thank you wordsmith publicity for the arc!!

Absolute perfection

I absolutely love Stevie, and I have from the beginning. She had one goal, and that was to get answers about her sister, no matter what. And boy, does she. This series will definitely suck you in and not let you go. I love how each of the characters grows as the story unfolds. So many truths come out, and not all of them are pretty....but damn if they don't make sense.
This is the perfect ending to this world.

This book was a huge letdown. Stevie annoyed me this entire book. I felt her personality reflected selfishness, the entire book was me, me, me. The guys in the book were like background noise. I was hoping for love scenes with all 5 but that didn’t happen either. I soon as the villain was introduced I pretty much knew it was him. The story felt rushed and dragged out at the same time, hard to explain, but maybe this should have been a duet instead of a trilogy. The connection I felt between all 5 MC was pretty nonexistent in this book and I just wanted to finish up and get this book over with.

I read this all the books in this series back-to-back, and I finished very quickly, so I'm going to write one main review for the series as a whole instead of breaking everything out individually for each book.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead!!

I think the main thing to say here is that there just isn't much oomph or vavoom.
In this series, we get a solid, main overarching plot: what happened to Stevie's sister? This is our primary exposition that spans the entirety of all three books.

From this, we get smaller conflicts and plot points dispersed throughout, which are meant to both give small rises and falls in the story while also pushing that overarching plot forward. These smaller conflicts include things like:
1. Our FMC falling for her soon to be stepbrother and them trying to hide that.
2. One of our FMC's Micah having some sort of 'secret' that his father covered for him.
3. Dahlia, the FMC's roommate who is hellbent on destroying her and taking her men.
4. Our FMC learning that her abusive father isn't her real father, and that her mom lied to her for years.
5. Learning her sister was in a secret relationship.
6. Learning her sister got pregnant and aborted the baby.
7. Learning that her best friend is her sister's mysterious BF and the father of the baby.
8. Having her best friend tell the FMC he imagined her the whole time he was with her sister when our FMC confronts him.
9. Our FMC getting kidnapped and beaten half to death.
10. A player from the rival school inciting violence and seeming to know too much.

These are just a few examples of some of what happens in this series. And yet, with all of that, I still felt like it ended up falling a little flat? I didn't get that anxiety inducing, nail-biting feeling from this series that I sometimes do with books that have so many crazy things happening, which I feel says a lot.

I think there's also a few plot points that are not wrapped up neatly enough for my liking, which is sort of to be expected given how many insane things happen throughout the series. I also feel like everything is too clean-cut and all conflicts are too easily overcome, so we don't really have that tension and suspense I would like to have.

Finally, this is literally advertised as an enemies-to-lovers hockey romance, but the hockey is such a minimal part in the series that I wouldn't call it a hockey romance. I actually don't think we even see a game until the second book.

Overall, this series is okay. I read it. I don't regret reading it.
But it's not something I would go out of my way to recommend to others, or to read again myself.

Extra Note: I do think that the third book is the worst of the entire series, hence why it's been given 2 stars. I felt that this book was repetitive, predictable, and there were a few points that stuck with me:
1. Our supervillain was honestly obvious by this book, especially once we get our first interaction with them. But this book does not explain to the reader exactly how the villain was able to do everything, capture everything, know everything, etc. They are working alone and yet have managed to become as omnipotent and omnipresent as God. It doesn't make sense and it's not explained.
2. Throughout the series our FMC goes through a significant amount of trauma, and we don't see any real time processing of these events or working through her issues. Honestly, she's sort of fine and normal for everything that happened. It feels unrealistic and I wish it was handled differently.
3. I'm gonna say something crazy, babes... There's not enough relationship growth in the books, but there is quite a bit of smut. AND YET, not one single group scene. Absolutely bonkers.

This is the 3rd and last book of the series. It picks up right where the cliffhanger left off. You do need to read the first 2 books so you aren't lost. I actually tried to start with this book and didn't make it through the first 2 pages before I was lost and had no clue what was going on. Thank God I also received the other 2 books as well to review. The narrative is told through all the characters, Stevie, Micah, Ash, Vince, and Tate.
This book delivered like the last 2 books in the drama, suspense and mystery. Giving you that rollercoaster effect through all the twists and turns. Just when you get some things answered, you still have all that's left until you get to the end of the book. The drama and conflict were there. So many secrets that were hidden get uncovered, and not all the answers are pretty. The angst and drama keep this book alive, along with the spice. It kept me attached to this series just to get the answers I needed. Once something was uncovered, you still had so much more to go to get to the full truth surrounding Stevie's sisters death. I was correct in my guess of who the Stalker was. Even though it still gave you twist and turns to get to the truth, I felt it was a little predictable. It almost made you feel like it was going to be something different, but in the end, it wasn't. Plus, I didn't feel like I got all the answers to everything. That's why I have the rating I did. I felt like it took the long way around to get to where it needed to be. Don't get me wrong, I held on to my seat the entire book, hell, the series even. Just needed more, or maybe I didn't want it to end 🤷‍♀️
You felt the relationship between the guys and Stevie grow even stronger. Each guy is so incredibly different, but they all feel the same about Stevie. You get more from the guys in this book, which I love. You still get a lot out of Micah and his ghost from the past. Stevie is there for him every step of the way. I still feel like her and Vince have the sweetheart connection that is different from the other guys. Even though her and Micah's relationship is just as strong. It's just different. The spice is still popping in this book like the others. Again, I wish there would have been a scene with all of them or a few of them together. It still had her hoping from room to room, with each guy getting there time in the month with her. I just wished to have seen more of the Why Choose in this book between all of them. It's a different why choose than I'm used to reading. I was still strapped in for it all, no matter how it came 😉
This book started with Stevie having one thing on mind, find out what happened in her sisters death. It started on the Enemies territory, and although the relationships changed between the characters, her mission did not. Not everything she found out was pretty in the search behind the truth of her sisters attack and death. The more she dug, the chaos she uncovered. The suspense level growing to an all time high. The relationship between her and the guys growing and becoming something strong and beautiful. You could feel the love and passion pouring out between them. Especially from the guys toward Stevie. I loved the growth in each character, together with Stevie and own their own.

I received this book as an ARC through Wordsmith and the authors as I did the first 2 books. I would like to thank them for allowing me to read this series. This is my honest opinion. I just feel like this series was built up for a great climax but left it really predictable. Was hoping for more, or something different since there was all these twist and turns, mystery and suspense. I do recommend this series to anyone who loves dark, why choose, suspense romance books. It was a series that left me wanting the next book, reaching for it, needing it.

Review: The thrilling conclusion to the Savage Kings of Bradyn U trilogy shredded my heart! Stevie is back and more vengeful then ever as secrets come to light about her sister’s death and her past. The way Rachel and Nikki were able to blend the mystery and intrigue into this final installment of the series kept me on edge and needing to know what would happen. Sick Wicked Love closed out Stevie’s journey perfectly and I wish we had more from these four coming!

Stevie is truly a force in this final book and she goes to HUGE lengths to get justice for her sister. I loved the way she went after what she wanted and her journey was as heartbreaking as it was heartwarming. I appreciated how both authors did not shy around the rawness of Stevie’s feelings as everything came to light. I also enjoyed how Stevie finally learned to ask for help (albeit very reluctantly). The way each of the guys surrounded her and gave her strength showed just how much growth each went through in this book and I have to say Micah was my favorite here. Rachel and Nikki did a great job with uncovering each of the guys’ past and giving the full picture of each MMC.

Micah was perhaps the most broken man in this book and getting to read about his demons and how he overcame them was my absolute favorite. The way Stevie never gave up on him and always was there for comfort added a layer to his parts in this book since it showed the softer side he had only for her. I also found myself liking Tate and Ash more. The way Tate overcame his fear of his father finding out proved he was all in and I loved seeing him go alphamale on everyone who tried to harm Stevie. Ash also was a pillar of silent strength in this book and I loved how he was quieter than the others but just as aware of Stevie. Vince stayed the soft boy I loved from the prior two books and he was very much needed to balance out the others.

The plot twists in this book took precedence over the steam and I WAS THERE FOR IT. I found the twists and turns to be shocking and can say that I did not see all of them coming. I also found myself hoping Stevie’s family overcame all the trauma they experienced. Seeing Stevie unearth all the deceits and secrets chilled me at some parts and the full body chills I had kept me turning the pages. This book closed up the trilogy wonderfully and I hope to see some future bonus material from these five!

Rating: 5/5, These men destroyed me!

Are you ready for this series finale? The answer is yes, of course.. last book in the Savage kings of Bradwin U series. Quite a road.

This review is a melting pot of the two previous reviews. My taught are quite the same.

Surprises? I guarantee it.
Chills? Oh yes!!
Butterflies? Millions!!

I had more compassion for Stevie than I ever had in a long time, what she lives is so intense and unfair. I hated and loved the Savages all at once. My feelings were on a roller coaster since the beginning. I wanted to slap Stevie to wake her up a bit or kick her ass, depending! But she is strong and I love her for that.

Those books are pure bomb.

I liked their previous Cypress Point but Savage Kings even more.

Now, I didn't change my mind on this series and even more in love with all the people we read about in those book. So here my review for the series!

Series finale! The anticipation of this book triggered an inexplicable frenzy in me, far more intense than the arrival of Santa Claus on a December evening. My excitement even rivaled the impatience for the next season of 'Paw Patrol' (yes, I'm tired of watching the same episodes on repeat). That's saying a lot.

It's sometimes challenging to find different words for every book I adore because, in the end, the common thread among them is the butterflies that dance in my stomach with every turned page. The anxiety that haunts me and the constant interest that prevents me from putting the book down to engage in daily activities, which, let's admit, are far less exciting. I'm ready for what's next, ladies!

A five-way love story is like heading straight into a disaster. I, myself, struggle with managing just one. Kudos to Stevie, who brilliantly juggles four intense men. Each of her love stories is unique and precious in its own way. The authors provide a captivating narrative with complex characters and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat on every page.

This story demonstrates that love can take various forms, taking us on a whirlwind of emotions. It's a series you won't be able to put down, even when daily life calls. Stevie and her multiple loves are both endearing and fascinating, and I can't wait to discover the next chapters of their adventures.

Those who have the chance to binge-read all three books in a row, you are fortunate not to have to wait for the next one to come out because believe me, that's torture.

This series is a literary gem, a must-read for contemporary romance/fiction enthusiasts. It deserves a special place in your library.

MMMM RH/University/Bully-Enemies to Lovers/Multiple PoV

SYNOPSIS (of Trilogy): The FC’s sister commits suicide but was raped beforehand. The FC is obsessed with discovering who raped her sister and why she committed suicide. In her quest she starts at Bradwyn University which is where her sister attended a party the night she was raped. She has narrowed her search to someone in a frat house and gets caught breaking in to one of the bedrooms in the frat house in search of a book that allegedly contains all the sins committed by each of the frat. This leads to the FC being “owned” by Micah, Vince and Ash who then bully her relentlessly before falling for her. The story covers the FCs relationships and how she works out her sister’s last months and what happened. There’s a HEA

Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆🍆 Lots of hot sex although some of it was a bit OTT for me such as the online sex broadcast to subscribers. Whilst the sex is not particularly kinky it is hot and sexy on the whole. The sex scenes increase over the books and take over a bit. They become less organic to the story and in some cases jarring/inappropriate e.g. just found out someone has been murdered? Let’s have a twosome because that’s what people do?? Go for a coffee as feeling stressed and overwhelmed regarding the murder? Have sex in the public restroom but be horrified when someone overhears ??? 😖

I really enjoyed Rachel Jonas’ Golden Boys series but for me this was not on a par in my view. I like a good bully story but and these boys had the requisite broken vibes and traumatic backstories (a bit trope and not particularly unique). I did feel that some of the bullying was just over the top and not forgiveable however such as ***SPOILER*** kidnapping and terrifying the FC, stringing her up and then actually branding her. I mean WTF? That’s beyond bullying and the fact that the FC seems to forgive them and not hold them to account for it but more importantly still gets “wet” and loves them - it is just horrible. There’s bullying and then there’s this which just didn’t work for me. At no point did the boys seem to regret or do penance for their treatment of the FC. 🙄

The background stories each felt too manufactured and there were gaps in the story e.g. what happened to Ash’s parents and why was his grandfather abusive to home when he wasn’t to his son? You never fully understand.

The MCs, as mentioned, are all “broken” in some shape or form and thus become violent and psychopathic to an extent. There’s not a lot of evolution in the relationships between each MC and the FC, they just suddenly decide they have fallen for her. It’s unclear exactly why as she doesn’t do anything special. As for the FC, she was supposed to be strong and fighting for justice for her sister but she was just a weak pushover. Given a dysfunctional history because, of course, she has to be “broken” to match with the boys. Despite everything that was done to the FC she just forgave people who do her serious wrong. The MCs, her mother who she actually says does not need to apologise to her - I mean, forgive her fine but she should apologise and acknowledge how wrongly she acted but no. It’s all just glossed over. Her father? Let him treat her like shit and abuse her but not actually call him out on being a pathetic human being or get closure 😖. I found it all very frustrating. I hate weak FCs especially in bully romances.

Overall I found the trilogy disappointing and could not engage or really care about the characters.

3.5⭐️ Well that’s the end of the Savage Kings of Bradwyn U!!! This series has been a real rollercoaster.

PLOT
It started of really strong and the mystery underlying plot was strong and kept me intrigued throughout. However, this book was a real let down, I was so annoyed that the killer was exactly who I guessed it was. The ending felt like it was there just to do a quick tidy up of loose ends. It felt rushed and underwhelming after such a strong build up. Which was sad because I really expected more form this series.

STEVIE
I have so many mixed feeling in her but I really disliked her character in this book. She kept running off and making stupid decisions for no reason?!? Like she put herself in danger so many times and seemed to have learnt nothing, I felt like there was ZERO character development for her.

RH????
I have no idea how this book is classed as a RH with not a single group spicy scene after 3 books?!?! The guys are amazing and just one scene would have been amazing. It felt like Stevie had four different boyfriends and everything felt so disconnected it I hated it. To build up a series with 4 MMCs and have it so disjointed under a RH genre just made no sense.

The guys were PERFECT as usual but once again felt like there was no real character development except for maybe Micah? I hated the way they all treated him in this one though. They kept blaming him as if he was the one fucking it all up but actually Stevie was causing more problems then him! It annoyed me the way the felt the need to constantly have ‘talks’ with Micah but Stevie was the one literally talking to the bloody killer and running off alone?!?

Anyway it was overall a solid series but underwhelming as a final book in the series, which was disappointing as I had really looked forward to reading it.

2.75⭐️ which I know looks harsh but for me “3” is a true middle ground so consider my 2.75 a 3.75 for everyone else.

OK so - i’m conflicted. the whodunit was really interesting but other than that, I was really bored and wanted to finish it. I’m glad i finished it and while i didn’t HATE the ending, i didn’t find it satisfying.

i just feel like the trilogy really could have been made a duology. The first book started off really strong, the 2nd book had more relationship building/character interactions but overall kinda felt like a filler book. and this one had a really fun mystery/adventure aspect but that was really the only thing i liked about it. also, i hate to say it but the spice was mid. mediocre at best. caught myself skimming the scenes.

i’d recommend reading if you’ve read the first two but if debating on whether to pick up the series, i’d recommend over a dozen other why-choose series before suggesting this one.

Nitpicks below:

Now there were also some things that really bothered me and i know are things id normally barely care about if i enjoyed the book. but since i didn’t have a fun time:

• the FMC did a lot of out of character things and it was like “this is her personality now” but ok how? why? how did that develop in her mind? when? she just did full 180?
• if we are going to get a whole mustache twirling villain monologue, can you please explain how they were essentially omnipresent?
• most of the conflicts were resolved in such a boring way. essentially all these stubborn, bullheaded, taurus ass MFers all become super forgiving & understanding people you’ve ever met. years of shit resolved with a smile and brief apology. maybe a brief conversation? and not even an apprehensive understanding? just full on back to normal?

Book two and three of this series should honestly have never existed. Book one is so fun and outlandish and the remaining two are soooooooo mid. This one, specifically, is actually just bad.

💔 this is not a Why Choose at all. Just a girl with four (fairly unimpressive) boyfriends

💔 all the MCs make stupid decision after stupid decision, no thought or planning goes into anything and they are just dumb as rocks. I.e. Stevie and Tate getting their sex tape leaked and continuing to fuck around in public. Also, Stevie and Vince being anon on his OF but he says her real name on camera? Make it make sense. They’re all idiots

💔 the relationship building is non existent in this book so I didn’t care about any of their love declarations

💔 some scenes, specifically Ash and Stevie in the blizzard, are so insanely inaccurate it’s offensive the author thinks we’re this stupid. My guy, no one is laying in the snow during a blizzard in JEANS feeling romantic about it. They’re getting hypothermia

💔 the fact this is marketed as a hockey romance is literally just trying to capitalise off of the genres current popularity cause hockey is in no way central to the plot of this book or the characterisations. You could remove the hockey and it would make literally zero difference

💔 the villain reveal was so insanely easy to guess. He’s presented on a literal silver platter that is so convenient it’s stupid and yet no one even thinks twice about it? Please

💔 every single sex scene has ZERO foreplay and Stevie comes in 4 seconds every time lmaooooo it’s like the author has never had sex before and it’s giving 14yo wattpad fanfic

Great conclusion to the trilogy!

There is so much to unpack in this conclusion as we come closer to figuring out who is behind it. I was SHOCKED by who it turned out to be and there is only a small bit of foreshadowing so you will be surprised that you won’t see that twist coming.

I enjoyed how a good chunk of the story focused on Stevie’s relationships with the guys individually as they each fully commit to her in their own way. Micah has alot of ghosts from his past coming out of the woodwork but Stevie supports him through it all and doesn’t waiver on her faith and loyalty.

Ash and Vince continue to be the sweethearts this book since they were a little more solid in their relationship with our girl going into this book. Things with Tate were still a secret so I enjoyed their subtle touches and sneaky looks. I think I just loved how each relationship is different.

I really wish we got more group activities in general in this series so the spice could really back up the family dynamics they kept claiming they were. It felt a bit weird at times for her to be hopping room to room when I wanted that group cohesion and definitely then group sleeping arrangement shenanigans.

The story in this book definitely with a mix of things that keep you on your toes. A few storylines wrap up but others just were falling up it felt like. This group just couldn’t catch.a break at any turn. I’m so bummed that their story is all wrapped up now but I hope it’s not the last we’ll see of them in Rachel’s future books!

I swear this series just keeps getting more intense with each book. Stevie has been put through so much. She definitely is a strong person because I don't know how anyone could handle going through all of that. Of course it helps that she has Micah, Tate, Vince and Ash by herside the whole time. I will say that after reading Sick Wicked Love Micah is now officially my favorite out of the four. I feel like he is a little misunderstood at times because of his temper, but everything he does is for the people he loves. He would do anything for the them, even going a little too far at times.

There was just so much that happened in this book. I felt like it was the perfect way to end the Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series. Probably about half way through the book it started to get really interesting and I found myself having a hard time putting it down. I will say that I did not see that ending coming. Every theory I previously thought was thrown out the window with what we learned towards the end and I loved how we finally got answers as to what really happened with Mel.

I definitely recommend this series. Between all the extremely hot scenes with her and her boys and then the mystery of not knowing what was going to happen next, it definitely keeps you interested through every single chapter. Also, again let's not forget about the insanely hot chemistry they all shared with her. They were definitely meant to be.

*I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

Dissapointing end!

I really liked the 1st and 2nd books in the series. I loved how Stevie got to know her guys individually and how much they cared for her. I loved how flawed they were and how much they each loved Stevie and how they had a brotherly bond with each other. But what i love most in books like these are the mystery we need to solve. Who hurt Stevie's sister? Who has beat her and left her for dead? Who has been texting her, stalking her?? And what is going on with her best friend Maddox??
Obviously, these questions get answered ( mostly), but I was disappointed with the answers. SPOILERS AHEAD!!
I'm not going to tell you who it was that SA'd Stevies sister, but apparently, Whitlock had nothing to do with it. There is never a resolution with him. Yeah, he was involved with the frat getting into trouble and driving Micah crazy, but we were not given a real reason as to why Leo Whitlock hates Micah so much. And as for her best friend Maddox. In the end, she forgives him??? Seriously?? That guy deserves her hatred.
But what I really hate was just the ending itself. Yeah, she with the guys, but she still hasn't told her parents about their relationship. The epilogue was only a month after her mom's wedding (where everything goes down), and I wish we had one for the end of the school year when the guys would have been graduating so we could see how their lives play out. It just seems unresolved to me.

Why Choose and a Mystery making it an unputdownable read! After all the twists and turns the question of what really happened is finally answered.

This was a crazy twisted storyline with the who dunnit vibes from book one to the final book. This one has you guessing along the way keeping you glued to each little crumb of evidence that falls. Get ready to have some emotional moments in this one and hello spicy times ahead.

Stevie has been a resilient character after all the tragedies she's experienced she never let go of helping her sister in the end. She's complicated but she never gives up on the ones she loves. Now with her found family of Micah, Vince, Ash, and Tate she's ready to take on the big L word with her guys. As each little piece of information comes to light about what really happened to Mel, has Stevie even more determined than ever to finish her promise to her sister. This group will become even closer this time around.

If you love RH Why Choose then this is your book/series. The mystery and twists that follow Stevie on her mission to find justice for her sister will leave you on the edge of your seat as it slowly unravels. Expect lots of spicy moments with her guys also. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves a mystery in their Why Choose.

Overall: 5/☆☆☆☆☆

Fantastic End to a Fantastic Series!!

I loved Stevie and her boys. I really didn’t want this series to end. Stevie spends more time with Dusty but I would have loved to see more of the cousins and extended family from Cypress Pointe. I guess that shows how I never wanted either series to end. I just love the characters from both series so much.

The book picks up where Cold as Ice left off. Stevie was trying to figure out what Maddox had done. While their talk answers some of the questions of what happened to Mel, it also brings up more. Stevie continues chasing down leads and trying find answers. Then more tragedy comes their way and they need answers to what happened to Dahlia after the boys left her.

In the end, Stevie gets the answers to what happened to Mel and Dahlia. Her and her boys end up in a really good place. I loved this series and look forward to listening to it again on audio when the third book comes out. I highly recommend this series. It has mystery and spice, all the things you could want. This book is the third in the series and cannot be read as a stand alone. The whole series is great so if you haven’t started it, jump in with book 1, Break the Girl. The series is complete and totally binge worthy.

You can’t go wrong with any of the books by Rachel Jonas. I hope there are more ties in between this series and Cypress Pointe in the future.
