Hello scrappers!
First of all, I wish you a happy and healthy new year, better than 2023.
I'm excited to host the Winter season Challenge, and it's going to be simple.

I love winter, if we talk about winter in the traditional Russian sense, for example, as Pushkin wrote about it in his landscape lyrics: “Cold frost and sunshine: day of wonder!...”
But in the region where I live there is very little sun in winter. This applies not only to the length of the day, but also to cloud cover - sunny days in winter are very rare in our area, 80% of winter days will have a heavy, low gray sky. The length of the day, by the way, is also very short - in December the sun rises at approximately 9:00 am and sets at 16:00 - daylight hours are only 7 hours, less than a third of the day. For me, this is very unpleasant - you wake up in the morning, and everything around you is gray, you don’t even want to get out from under the blanket. In general, I would be happy to exchange our 5 months of winter (from November to March) for spring or summer.

The point of this verbal tirade is to introduce my challenge: create a design dedicated to your least favorite feature of the winter season where you live. You need to use at least one photo, one wordart/quote, be sure to include several elements: snowflakes, leaves, branches, brushes, paints; everything that fits the winter theme and tell us why you don’t like winter?

My example page:

I used a collection called Frosty winter by et designs

I hope this is ok Elena. We do not get snow in Perth, Western Australia and our Winters are very mild. I do love Winter but my feet get very cold and I then suffer from crippling cramps in my legs.
I should say so! I'm fine, this winter is surprisingly cold.
Take care of yourself and your feet)
Great page!

Journaling: Here in Canada, winters can be unpredictable. I live in Quebec where we can go from receiving 30 cm of snow one day and then get freezing rain the next. Last year we had a freezing rain storm that knocked power out for eight days in our area and lots of trees and branches came down. That was not fun!

We also had freezing rain once, it was a complete nightmare.
Thanks for your page! It is beautiful!

Like @Ozegirl , we live near Perth, so no snow and the photo is not recent (just finishing our summer holiday!). We've actively tried to live in mild winter locations for the past 20 years (we have moved between countries/continents) for one simple reason: I just cannot stand the cold! I've been getting chilblains as soon as the temperatures get to 65F since my early 20s and despite being healthy and active.

jounrnaling: We dream of snow falling for winter but we only get snow once every 20 years. the last time we got snow during winter we were over buried with the snow. we got a week of snow and it resulted in no power for three days. oh my son was yelling snow snow go away and never come back again.. it makes us grateful for the few cold days maybe some ice that we don’t konw how to drive in but it is our miserable cold and no fun winter but we know we hate the snow days more. we hate winter with no snow but we hate the cold days without snow. lets just remove the season called winter.
