Another great read & excellent conclusion to this series. There were moments I wanted to throw my phone & punch Hendrick & his dad. The angst in this book is high at times. He loved Allison, vowed he’d marry her when she was kidnapped in book 2, but in this book he’s uncertain. It made me sick & angry that he was so quick to agree to a marriage w/someone else & actually had the nerve to say that there’d be no place for Allison or their baby in his life. That was such a jerk thing to think let alone say, even if he was lying to himself.
It was great to see all the unresolved issues & questions I had since book 1 be resolved, but a couple things left a sour taste in my mouth still. I wanted Hendrick to at least be angry at his dad for what he did, & I didn’t like how Hendrick married Allison in a wedding that was originally planned for Harlow. I felt bad for Allison, she deserved her own special day, not a day that was meant for another woman. And I really wanted to know if that ring was originally meant for Harlow too! Allison even questioned it, but never asked & I was dying to know.
This series was really good and I loved seeing the 20 year jump in the epilogue!

The end to this short series! While I loved the first two books in the series, this third and final installment really had me intrigued because Hendrick was much more complicated and secretive than his older brothers. I also was very interested in Allison and finding out what happened during her kidnapping, although we never find that out. We get a great conclusion to this family and also the drama surrounding the family in the family business, and all three brothers get HEAs that aren’t typically common in the family. I love Hayley’s MC books, but I also love her darker books like this series, she adds a lot of complexity to characters and great storylines that keep readers on the edge of their seats! Can’t wait to see what comes next!

I made a mistake reading this book first before the others in the series. I need to go back now!!

I really wanted to shake Hendrick so he could see what was most important. I think we can all agree his dad is the WORST.

This was a good book and the stalker/thriller aspect was everything.

YMMV here, but I was just not crazy about this book. I don’t think I like the hero. He has done some things that I can’t see a hero having done. It’s mentioned that he saw trafficking happening after he had zexytime with one of the victims and he admits that he did nothing to stop it. He feels guilty when he meets the woman’s sister, but the fact that he knowingly was involved… I just have problems with it. He reminds me of a spoiled child who wants what he wants when he wants it.
I don’t see any reason that the heroine should be in love with him, but the heart wants what it wants, I guess. But he doesn’t truly treat her with respect. Maybe there was more in one of the previous books in the series that showed the hero in a better light and maybe he was remorseful in one of those. (His father, whom the hero greatly admires, is really no great shakes either.)
I think I might’ve missed a lot by not having read the first two books. The heroine was previously kidnapped and that fact is mentioned enough that it must have been a pretty important event. The hero even said that she was having after effects from whatever happened while she was a captive. But the details are never discussed in this book, even when she went to therapy. It’s mentioned that she told the therapist what happened, but we get no details. This only makes sense if the reader was given details in a previous book. The author could have really done readers of this book a solid by showing a flashback from the heroine’s POV, rather than having the hero notice that her mind was wandering.
This book is Not Safe. The hero has every intention of getting married to someone else and keeping the heroine as his mistress. He also goes to a club where adults do adult things with each other (I have to be careful of what I say or Amazon will reject my review) presumably with the intention of doing some of these adult things with an adult who is not the heroine. And after he’s engaged to another woman, he has zexytime with the heroine. Like I said, Not Safe.
I couldn’t get into this book because I didn’t like the hero.
Here’s the breakdown:
MMC/FMC- Hendrick and Allison
POV- 1st person dual
Genre - Mafia (Mob) Romance disguised as a Contemporary Romance
Heat- I can’t really judge because I didn’t find the hero attractive.
Series? Y
Safety? N, see above.
Triggers- cheating, PTSD, violence, language, zex.
Tropes- Despite the title, the only stalking going on that we really see is the MMC’s work for The Family. Surprise Pregnancy is about the only trope that I could name.
Verdict- I can’t recommend this book. Needs a more sympathetic hero and more exposition.

A thrilling mafia story

This third (and final) installment in the Midnight Stalkers series had it all. Drama, love, suspense – all in the right doses to make it an undeniable page-turner.

I felt for both, Hendrick and Allison. Allison is an amazing person, a free spirit at heart, branded, however, by past trauma. She gives her all to Hendrick, but knows at the bottom of her heart that she can’t stand being in the sidelines of his life – it will kill her slowly. Yet she knows that she can’t stay away – even when she tries to. A vow to the family – an old tradition, really – that Hendrick must comply to, complicates their relationship. According to it, since she was not pure, or very close to it, when they met, she can’t be a wife, only a mistress. And Hendrick….well, lets just say that his heart and his head are at a war that makes the situation impossible to handle. It takes a while for him to realize what is the most important thing – but when he does, he unleashes havoc. True, there were times that I wanted to smack him on the head – him and his father for what each of them did. There is a rollercoaster of events that had me sitting on the edge of my seat, not being able to turn the pages fast enough. I loved all the secondary characters and I loved the bond the women had / developed – I even loved to hate the villains of the story.

All in all, it was a great, 5-star read for me. I enjoyed it immensely and I loved the writing style of the author – she is relatively new to me as this is only my second read of hers, but it definitely won’t be the last.

I have read a number of Hayley's series by now and I have to say that her writing and stories have only gotten better and that this series has fast become my favorite of hers - thus far!

This is the third book in the Midnight Stalkers series. This is the story of Hendrick and Allison, and my goodness! I was on the edge of my seat in disbelief for over 60% of the book. I could just not believe that how the story was going, that that was going to be Allison and Hendrick's reality - their ultimate ending. It all seemed plausible as the story continued, but break my heart why don't you? I just felt so bad for Allison, because ... hadn't she been through enough?? My heart hurt so badly for her. Her reality, her past, her current circumstances, what she'd endured, what she was being told... ugh, it was just almost too much. How much is one person to take?

And then there was Hendrick. He too had his own private hell to contend with. One that was beyond his control, one that was all family obligations. Yet you could feel their heartbreak. It was just so gut-wrenching and my heart was in my throat for a good portion of this book.

As stated above, I have enjoyed this series so much! Hayley, please tell me there's more in this series!

Watching the Monster is the final book in the Midnight Stalkers Series by Hayley Faiman. Man this woman can write! I love the other two books in the series! This one was a bit different but still great! It had me hook and needed to keep reading! Though at times I wanted to just toss my device across the room!

The relationship between Hendrick and Allisson is complicated and I mean COMPLICATED! My heart broke for Allison an all she has had to go though and still had to experience in the book. She's an amazing girl with her trauma yet she still continues to keep going! I LOVED her.

Now Hendrick I had mixed emotions... he's the main reason I felt like tossing my ebook and wishing I could smack him! Man the things he does are ugh! He wants Allisson but feels the obligations to his family are more important. So he his option is keeping her as a mistress since she doesn't meet the "wife" conditions that sooo old as time! He's a bit slow on that side but he does end up finding a solution. But was it the right one?

You'll have to read to find out how this series ends. 😃

I wish the series didn't have to end, but I am totally looking forward to Hayley's next book!

(The above are my thoughts and feelings, Thank you for my copy of this book. Hope you enjoy! 🖤)

3.5 stars for Hendrick and his Sunshine

I loved this series and was excited to get into this book. It was an enjoyable read. Although I understood Hendrick's family obligation and his dilemma over Allison I wanted to punch him and his father for most of the book because of their treatment of her. I didn't particularly like Hendrick, from his treatment of Allison to his very questionable past. It was only in the last few chapters that Hendrick kind of redeemed himself, was sweet and swoony, devotrd husbandand loving father. My heart broke for Allison and what she had to endure, however I was happy she got her happily ever after. In spite of everything, Hendrick and Allison were steamy and sizzling together.
Personally, I found there were some repetitive parts in this book and it was longer that necessary. I loved the ending and epilogue though. Although, this was not my favorite of the series, Hayley Faiman outdid herself with this series and I would definitely recommend the series as a whole.

Since book one, Allison and Hendrick have been an item, but everyone knows that she can NOT be his prize. Now, all the drama from the second book has died down, Hendrick once again has Allison in his arms, and his father has started up about him finding his bride. Hendrick has to figure out what his next move is, and part of him wants it all, he wants Allison and to still keep family tradition and have a bride. Will he be able to let Allison go when the time comes?

This is the third in the series and I do suggest reading in order as they just flow from one story to the next. While this story gives us an ending and we get to see the HEAs from everyone, I felt like it let me down a bit. Everyone was just ok with things that happened, and I was on my side of the kindle spitting nails. No push back on certain situations, just OK this happened let's move on? I give Hendrick and Allison 4 stars.

Overall, it was a good read but I feel like I would've understood it better if I had read the other two books in the series.

The book follows Hendrick and Allison, and their forbidden relationship. They're in love, but due to familial obligations, Hendrick cannot marry Allison, as she is not part of the family organization. Allison was recently kidnapped, and is still dealing with the aftermath of that. However, it's not really shown in her own story. I don't know if it was a bigger plot line of the previous books. I would've liked to see her dealing with it in this story and have it be a bigger plotline. It was more just referenced and even when she visits her therapist, we're just told that she talked about her feelings about the kidnapping.

The climax of the story happened earlier than I would've expected. It was like 65-70% into the book and I was like... well what happens next.

I did think it was funny when Allison "ran away" and then basically came back herself LOL. I did like how much Hendrick loved Allison.

Overall a good read but I suggest reading the other stories first to understand the world better.

The final brother in the Family finds his bride

Hendrick is the youngest, and wildest, of the Hamilton brothers. He parties hard and crosses some lines, but he is also the tech expert and stays (mostly) out of trouble. That is until Allison, Parker’s bestie and the woman he loves, turns his world upside down. His feelings make his future one that is not at all what he expected and he knows the only thing he truly wants is Allison. Torn between the woman he loves and his expectations as a member of the Family, Hendrick doesn’t have it easy. All of this is complicated enough, but things get more complicated, a few times over actually, and readers will be taken on the roller coaster ride with Hedrick, Allison and the rest of their family and friends. Another fantastic book in the series to finish it out, Hayley Faiman never disappoints!

Hendrick and Allison love each other (though they don’t say so and she has no idea he does), but they know he has to marry someone else because Allison is unacceptable to the family. He can keep her on the side though. Hendrick makes some terrible calls over the course of the story. Allison runs and hides. She then lies BIG TIME after getting pressure from his father. The whole thing is a big family drama mess caused by his father following the old ways. There is a lot of hurt and lies all around. Hendrick is not a great guy and he does things knowing they will hurt her. She see things and doesn’t know they are not what she thinks they are. There are huge and messed up betrayals. Lots of yummy stuff happens. Starts and ends with a bang!.

Another hit book by a fabulous author!
What a terrific story... The family is everything, they own your life. This is the story of Hendrick and Allison. He's the third son of Henry who is the Director of the family and everyone else involved in their world. Hendrick has two older brothers and when the boys come of age, they are awarded a prize, a wife. Allison can't be that prize since she's "been around" too much. They love each other, but it just can't be. Lots going on in the book that had me guessing constantly about what was going to happen between Hendrick and Allison and what was going to be the next big revelation. Hayley always writes a story that is consuming and intriguing. This book will lure you from the first page.

Oh my gosh, this novel took me on such a ride! I loved it! I have read the other novels in this series and loved them. This novel did not disappoint. I was so excited to jump into reading this novel and it did not disappoint me. From the moment I started reading I could not put this novel down, I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. What a ride! This was Hendrick and Allison’s story. Wow there were moments I wanted to shake Hendrick. They had been thru so much. This novel kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it would all end. I loved it! I can't wait to see what this author has coming next.

Hendrick and Allison’s relationship is over powering yet it’s being controlled by a vow that Hendrick must follow that complicates their relationship to have a future together. Allison has always been down on her luck in love and life but when it comes to Hendrick she doesn’t want him to break her heart so she breaks his heart first. There are so many obstacles and twists in this story, it was nail bitting to see the drama unfold between the couple and the family. I enjoyed the ending and thought it wrapped up nicely for this couple who was one of my favorites.

This book was suspenseful, spicy and full of drama and action. I enjoyed Watching the Monster by Hayley Faiman. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. Her writing style was gritty and she didn’t hold back with all the deets!!! I was captivated by the storyline and characters. The storyline was original and nail bitingly addictive. I couldn’t put this book down until the end, and then I wanted more of these two characters. The characters were complex, they broke my heart and had explosive and a magnetic chemistry. This is a dark mafia like romance and touches on dark topics and themes.

Watching the Monster is a very misleading title. I would not describe Hendrick or as Allison calls him “Ace” more like an young adult whom is constantly seeking the approval of his Father “the director” of their family.
Although Hendrick is described as someone whom has more than sewed his wild oats, this is not a problem.
Allison whom is not a virgin and has also dated is not considered fit for marriage or motherhood.
There is an obvious misunderstanding and miscommunication between these two which sets off this entire storyline of struggle.

The third book in the series and what a conclusion. While you can read this as a standalone I wouldn’t recommend it. The characters intertwine with each other in the other books and a lot of instances are referenced. Allison and Hendrick have a complicated relationship. Both in love with one another but he’s not allowed to marry her. They have a spicy relationship throughout and there is an element of mafia with this. Loved the epilogue.

I received this ARC through the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing this book, opinions are my own.

This whole series has been spellbinding for me. Once I pick up the book, I can’t put it down!

I struggled with Hendrick in this book. He made me so angry! I know that the family is everything but it made me crazy.

I love Allison. She knows who she is and what she needs. But she’s in love with Hendrick and just can’t stay away.

So much angst! Hendrick did the right thing in the end - maybe not well, but he figured it out.

I love the epilogue!.

Oh my gosh this book had me going back and forth, I love Hendrick, no, no I HATE him! Well maybe….No I love him. With Henry, it was mostly I HATE HIM!!! And Allison my sweet girl, you deserve everything and more! This book will have in your feels all over the place. This is the third book in the Midnight Stalker Series and it follows the youngest brother Hendrick and his love Allison. The absolute roller coaster this relationship between Hendrick and Allison had me guessing the outcome the whole time. I just love Hayley’s writing and this book is exactly why.

Hendrick and Allison started as casual. Neither expected it to turn into more. Hendrick wants to keep Allison forever but knows he can’t. Allison knows that she will never be more than Hendrick’s mistress. Throw an unexpected pregnancy, an arranged marriage and a kidnapping into the story and you will go on one heck of a ride. This story will have you wanting more the whole way thru. To be honest, I didn’t want it to be over and I was left wanting more. I highly recommend reading Watching the Monster and the other books in this series.

I love how obsessed the men in this series are with their women and Hendrix was no different! Him and Allison were perfect for each other and while they didn’t have the easiest time getting there. I’m super glad they got to their happily ever after. This book had steam, some angst, a few moments that had me giggle, but overall it had heart. This family was so great. The boys were protective, alpha and just amazing while the women were all strong on their own ways. I think all the kids need books too! 4.75 stars #2OCCJD

The third book in the Midnight Stalkers series and it will definitely have you turning the pages. Allison and Hendrick have a casual arrangement, that is all it was ever meant to be, as his family makes the decisions and his dad does not approve of her. Both try to talk away but neither can as they have both developed feelings:
Hendrick is someone you wanted to hit in the face on several occasions. But their relationship has quite a few obstacles before they can even think about getting to their HEA.

This is the 3rd book in the Midnight Stalkers series featuring Hendrick and Allison's epic rollercoaster that they call a relationship. We've been building to this epic conclusion since the series began with Tempting the Monster and it continued in Enticing the Monster now we finally get their story. It definitely does not disappoint and it was worth waiting for and it's the perfect way to end this great series.

We've already met Hendrik and Allison and this is their story; and what a story it is.
They both have to overcome obstacles, most of which come in the form of Hendrik's father, Henry.
Will they succeed in getting their happy ever after or will Hendrik follow his father's orders?
We catch up with characters from earlier books and conclude a few ongoing storylines.
An easy read that kept me engaged from beginning to end.

Hendrick and Allison's story is consuming! It's heartbreaking at times and swoon-worthy at others. From the very first page to the very last page I was glued to the pages. Hendricks father completely infuriated me and so did Hendrick but by the end they found themselves back in my good graces. Watching The Monster is another great read from this author!

This book has me hooked from the beginning. It twisted and turned in unexpected ways that kept me hanging on every line. Well written, great characters, and original ideas make this one a keeper to reread when other stories seem like a stale retelling of the same story. I highly recommend reading this one and will be diving into the rest of the series.

Hendrick and Allison took me on heck of ride. Duty to his family, loyalty, betrayal, guilt, steam, love, family, fighting wrongs. It all fills the pages of their story and made for one amazing read. Henry had me wanting to smack not only him, but Hendrick up along side their heads more than once. When Henry said Allison is your prize I couldn't help, but says she always was ya old fool. I couldn't be happier for him and his brothers that they all got their happily ever after.

Hendrick wants Allison but she does not fit the mold that his father has established; however, when things are not as they seem, and the truths come to light, will he change his mind? Again, there are many twists and turns in this book and loose ends are tied up. This book contains every emotion you can think of – angst, steam, heartache, love, and many more. Questions are answered and the Hamilton family lives happily ever after. Great ending to the series.

This was a great ending to this series. I loved all the books in this series. This one is about Hendricks and Allison. I loved the way they both watch each other without the other person knowing. They finally come together. There are twists and turns through the whole book. This book has a lot of triggers and should not be read if you are gonna give the author lower reviews. I recommend this book.- Kristina
