The European Union Delegation to Kyrgyzstan attended yesterday's public hearing in the Jogorku Kenesh on the draft 'Foreign Representatives' bill. We fully share and echo the concerns raised by the UN Resident Coordinator and the OSCE Representative in their speeches. We add our voice to the legitimate concerns and recommendations raised by the Venice Commission and large parts of the Kyrgyz Civil Society. Pluralism and a vibrant civil society are integral to all democracies - and key to their prosperity and resilience.
