2.5 Sweet Short Smut Stars
This was cute. But it was way more cheesy and insta-lovey than I was in the mood for. This was my first Julie Capulet (I think) and the vibe was a little different than I was expecting. So definitely perhaps an expectations/timing thing.
I’ll try another one of hers when I’m in the mood for this brand of romance.

Billionaire Boss is by Julie Capulet. This will eventually be a series, one book for each of the Maddox brothers. But for this first book, we concentrate on Cash Maddox and I can’t wait for you to meet him. The blurb pretty much says it all but we’ll see if I can toss in a couple more things that might convince you to read this!
Dusty Rose is twenty three years old. After growing up with a single mom who worked her tail off to provide for Dusty and her sister, Dusty is ready to take the world by storm. Straight out of college, she was hired by a firm in Austin as a financial advisor. Her firm is sending her to Hawaii for a work conference and for the first time, Dusty feels like she’s made it while she enjoys the beautiful sand and surf. Dusty is used to men looking at her as nothing more than a sex object, never as a colleague. She is a pro at fending off their advances. But when she sees the sexiest guy she has ever seen at the hotel bar, maybe this should be the one time she lets down her defenses and live in the moment. Just for one night, no names, just sex. Then she steals out in the morning.
Cash Maddox is twenty seven years old and is one of the four Maddox brothers. Rather than work for his father’s firm, Cash struck out on his own, taking two of his brothers with him. I loved this book. Julie is the master of lust at first sight romances. I loved how perplexed Cash was at his obsession with Dusty. He can’t figure out why he just can’t let it go. But, he doesn’t fight it. He just goes with it. Dusty can fight it all she wants but he always gets what he wants in the end. Dusty is the only woman for him and he is not letting her go.
We get to know Cash’s other three brothers and I can’t wait to get their stories in the future. But for now, I hope you fall in love with Cash and Dusty just as I did. There is an extended epilogue you can download and it was perfect!!! So don’t miss it!

YESSS!!! SAFE romance Billionaire boss is so freakin hot of course I will read it! 😍 I know I can trust this author every time her book comes out cause it’s always safe and no cheating. And especially this one is very special… From the beginning till the end of the book like oh my goodness 🥺🥺🙏🏼
Especially when the hero is the one who really PURSUE THE HEROINE SO MUCH… TOTALLY YES ❤️❤️❤️
If you never read from this author. The author writes a great safe romance and fast romance too and super romantic all the way 😍😍 Which I’m so into though 😁 It’s actually best when you read this book after you read a bad romance book from other author, because it totally helped tho. That’s my medicine lol.
SO THE STORY STARTS: The heroine arrives at Hawaii for investment conference from her company that she’s working with. From the beginning you can see how smart the heroine is and she knows all about the investment business. No joke. (So it’s great to see that! cause sometimes other authors like to write a heroine who doesn’t love her job even tho the job is actually great tho… like they write a heroine who doesn’t even smart at her job which is disappointing cause as a woman myself i like to see a strong smart woman even in romance novel😁 just saying). The heroine goes to the hotel where the conference will be held… When she arrived, some random guy tries to flirt with her but she doesn’t flirt back. And the next day she went to the beach after the conference… When she goes to the beach and relax on the sand enjoying her book with her sexy bikini, some surf guy tries to flirt with her again… He even convince her to surf with him but she declined cause she never try it ever. He said to go for it and she then agreed. Once she tried it and it was great, the surfer guy tries to flirt with her again by inviting her to go with him at night. She politely declined and they part ways… When she reach to the hotel, a guy say something nice to her about her surfing… He then flirts with her and even be so honest about what he wants with her. But she declined and went away… The next day the heroine went to the bar alone enjoying her time with her drink that she almost pay. Then the same guy from yesterday sitting next to her and offer to pay for her drink. And immediately put the heroine’s credit card away and offer his to the bartender… (OH MY). They made a hot conversation about what they should do tonight, well the hero obviously is the one who really made an effort to do it and pursue the heroine so much… Both agreed and they had a spectacular hot night together 😋😋😋 AND YES THE GUY IS THE HERO!!! The next day the heroine have to go for her morning flight, so she quietly dressed up and leave a note for the hero thanking him for the night. The heroine leaves and the hero wakes up later… The hero tries to find the heroine but he found her note saying that. He immediately goes to the receptionist asked about the heroine but they have no idea… The hero goes back to new york on the first day and immediately starts to look for the heroine… Like he tried everything to find her…
But when they meet again after two months later, it was a very HOT SCENE 😙😙😙 Totally romantic, hot and heart pounding 🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️ LIKE WHAT A REUNION!!!!

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

Let me start by saying that I decided to hate read this from the very beginning mainly because of the virgin trope. So I'm kind of biased already and leaning towards the negative side, and sure as crap won't give this a 5⭐ rating. Yet I still went ahead and finished it, why? Curiosity, I guess. 🤷♀️
I originally wrote this as a longrant review, but I don't see the need to put that out anymore, other than saying this one isn't for me.
While I'm not fond of innocent heroines anymore, I still hoped that my initial disdain would prove to be wrong. That maybe somewhere along the story something would change my mind and eventually make me fall in love with the MCs. It did happen to me on numerous occasions. There are books that became my favorites, although I wanted to dislike them from the very start.
Unfortunately, that's not the case with this book. It wasn't something I hated—hatred is just too strong—but I also didn't come to like it. But I was extremely disappointed, especially with Dusty (23). I love a smart, competent, and hardworking heroines, and she used to be one. But apparently, spending one night with Cash (27) turned her into a pathetic, dumb, and horny mess. She couldn't see straight whenever he was around. And worse, she let her hormones and body-betraying syndrome decide for her.
As for Cash, he's the typical young, rich, handsome, and workaholic CEO. And with his business, he only settles for ONS, and when he dates, those only last for a few weeks. Yet seeing Dusty and spending a night with her made him fall for her quickly—love at first sight, to be exact. I don't understand the fixation; maybe I'm not supposed to. His character didn't grow on me; I feel like he used his position and money a lot of times here to get what he wanted. And the huge imbalance between them somehow makes me feel uneasy, and I'm not really a fan of that.
Suspending disbelief is way harder to do in this book. She got promoted to a managerial position after four days of being hired because she caught the responsible person for the insider trading in the act. And after that, it was announced to everyone that they're in a relationship, which gave me secondhand embarrassment, but that's on me and my issue with public gestures.
Anyhoo, this isn't for me. The insta-love, other woman drama, body-betraying stuff, and too many spicy scenes aren't really working for me. I honestly feel this doesn't have to be 380+ pages; it could've been cut shorter if some of the sexy scenes were removed. But if readers dig smut (is there too much smut?), then they should go and read this one; it won't disappoint in that aspect.

Ever just need the type of reliable author that offers you the sweetest, hottest instalove, "he moves at the absolute speed of light," "do anything to get the girl" stories around? I have read a lot of books from this author, and they are all so fantastic and swoony, light and fun reading that is so perfect for a lazy weekend.
These men (and women) fall so hard and fast and will stop at nothing to be together, Julie Capulet's books will sweep you off your feet!
Billionaire boss is the first in a new series about 4 brothers. the first brother is Cash Maddox. This story was seriously so fun. Our heroine, Dusty Rose, a lovely Texan girl, was really sweet but also had a lot of guts and grit. She was the perfect balance. She had her own drive along with her own insecurities, which all contributed to the story.
Cash was HOT!!! and really freaking cute, too. I liked that he had a bit more of a softer/sweeter feel to him (only for Dusty) he was still that strong arrogant CEO type that we all love in these stories though so dont feel like you will miss out on that facet of his personality but he definitely had alot more going on, he was not a playboy either which was refreshing as well.
The 2 had a chance encounter at a resort at a conference in Hawaii and without exchanging names or information they shared the best night of their lives together, Dusty left in the morning and disappeared into thin air, Cash was devastated without any information to track her down. Maybe it was fate or the stars aligning, but imagine Cash's surprise when she walks into his office as a new employee a few months later. To say they were both shocked is an understatement....
This story is instalove, I love this when the mood strikes, and it's so great to have an author I know will hook me up.

3-3.5 Stars! This was a good book but it was so unrealistic, I couldn’t get into it. This is the first book in ‘New York Billionaires’ series & can be read as a standalone.
I wish I could get a mega wealthy, gorgeous man to fall madly in love with me & bonus if he has a giant shlong and knows how to use it. But how many single, gorgeous, wealthy bachelors are there out there, dating pretty but poor, women? Honestly, that would be exhausting to have someone so “perfect” because you’d never get to slack on your looks and sexual abilities. No thanks. I’d rather just be broke. Ha!
The main characters are Cash/Ace and Dusty/Tex. I liked them both and was rooting for them to work. My main issues were how “perfect” he seemed, how unlikely the plot is and how unrealistic it all was. That being said, it was still a good book, just more fantasy fiction rom-com than just fiction rom-com. I think I’d believe in unicorns before I believed such a man as Cash actually existed. If you know of a man like Cash, please send him my way.

Another beautiful steamy read!
First, I absolutely love the cover for this book. It fits the story. This one is a bit different, about Cash, a master of the financial world and an alpha, of course, and Dusty, who is a Texas girl, a UT Austin grad, and planning to take no prisoners in the world of finance. She is one strong motivated woman, with goals to accomplish. Meeting Cash is unexpected and not necessarily an addition to Dusty’s plans. There is so much to their story, but I won’t give anymore away. Be prepared for a sizzling time between these two, this is hot, hot, hot! Ms. Capulet writes excellent books and this is definitely one of her best. Highly recommend.

Dusty is a fantastic girl with big dreams and a great work ethic. They make the perfect couple but she doesn’t realize it at first. I loved how he fell immediately head over heels for her and becomes a bit obsessed with her. I loved their nicknames as well Ace and Tex.
The best news is that this is the beginning of a new series! We are so lucky, I can’t wait to read the other stories of his brothers. Fun fun fun!.

Julie Capulet’s new series “New York Billionaires” starts with an exceptional story. Her skillful writing captures the reader’s interest and ensnares us into the intense love story between Cash and Dusty. The characters are well developed and exude such scorchingly hot chemistry, it’s an addictive read. The sensual scenes she describes are emotionally charged and some of the best I have ever read.
This new series introduces us to the four Maddox brothers, who are aptly depicted in this excerpt:

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. Why I don’t read this author more often is BEYOND ME. She makes me SWOON and PANT , EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Dusty meets Cash while in Hawaii for a business conference. After they both have the most incredible night of their lives together, Dusty leaves for her flight back home. No names or numbers were exchanged, it was their “deal”.
They were to continue with their normal lives. Except neither can forget the incredible night, but with no names or contact information for one another, every search comes up blank.
When Dusty lands her dream job in NYC, she is face to face with him again. The CEO of her new job, is her one night stand from Hawaii.
The chemistry in this is absolutely unreal. You would normally expect the CEO/billionaire boss to be a total a$$, but Cash knows the insane connection they shared, and he refuses to let her go again.
I LOVE a “he falls first” romance, and Cash OWNED that role. I couldn’t get enough of him, neither could Dusty. This was a binge in a sitting type read. I am absolutely feral for these two. If you love billionaire romance, you will EAT THIS UP.
I love a persistent MMC who will do anything to keep the woman he falls for.

This book was an easy and quick read, but I don't think it's for me. Firstly, the instant love aspect put me off. I don't find it realistic for two people to fall in love in just one night, and then on the second time they're together, he pays off all her loans and solves her family's entire life. I found it too cliché.
Secondly, I didn't like the fact that throughout the book, they only called each other by nicknames and never by their names. I found it too much because it seemed like they were living in a fantasy.
I think this part is more personal, but the dirty talk for me was just cringe. I didn't think it was well-written, and all the pet names he called her (baby girl, angel...) just killed the mood for me.
Lastly, I found that sometimes the dialogue became repetitive when switching points of view.
Despite this, I liked the bond of brotherhood among the siblings, and I would be willing to read their stories.

When Dusty meets Cash in Hawaii, neither is aware of the other’s real name, whilst both are attending a conference. When they part ways after one intense night of passion, they only know each other by the names of Tex and Ace. When they meet soon after, Dusty discovers that Cash is not only her boss, but a billionaire. No sooner do they meet, and Dusty discovers that Cash’s company is also at risk of claims being made of insider trader. She finds herself wondering if she can have romance whilst retaining the career she has long desired.
This was a fast-paced book, with plenty of intense adult scenes. It was a quick read, and the beginnings of an interesting series. I look forward to reading about Cash’s brothers.

I really like it when romance books are written in an engaging way and, of course, at a good pace that doesn't make me distracted and segwaying. Bonus part if it's more of a light tone 🤚🏽
Anyway, as expected from author Julie, her books are on the lighter side of writing and tones, which I really enjoyed despite the tropes.
The characters are, on the other hand were written decently, with enough personality. There are just some minor things that irked me, most especially the ML.
The romance, of course, is more on the love at first lust, which is common in the author's story. However, I think I felt that the romance could have developed more as well as the characters. Love the instant chemistry between the main characters. Ace and Tex are on fire. There are more interesting ways to intertwine the timelines and back story between the two I would love to see this author explore.
I want to learn to surf more than I ever have before. I love the ocean. I want to see how my life changes after catching a wave. That part of this story was inspiring.
Tex's back and forth is rather annoying. She annoys herself...and the reader. I couldn't stand how indecisive she was. Like it had to be black or white, one or the other with no shades of Grey. Ace loves her good and nice loved watching that unfold.

I want to learn to surf more than I ever have before. I love the ocean. I want to see how my life changes after catching a wave. That part of this story was inspiring.
Tex's back and forth is rather annoying. She annoys herself...and the reader. I couldn't stand how indecisive she was. Like it had to be black or white, one or the other with no shades of Grey. Ace loves her good and nice loved watching that unfold.

What an enjoyable book to read! This instant romance was exactly what I was hoping it would be. This steamy love story not only had the spice in the book I was hoping for, but great attention to detail. I love how Julie Capulet was able to really make you feel as if you knew Dusty and Cash. The character development in this book leaves me wishing this becomes a series so I can find out what happens with all of Cash's siblings. Overall a great read that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good steamy romance novel.

Now the question is, will Dusty let him, or keep running as is her go to when things get emotional?
Sweet and sexy insta-love, at least on Cash's part. Dusty had a long way to go before she could even think of the l word, though, so thank God for Cash's persistence and his obsession, otherwise they never would have gotten to their HEA. Aside from Dusty's ridiculous running, I liked everything else about their story. Though it's insta-love, it's still well rounded and entertaining. I'm excited to read the other brothers' stories now.

Billionaire Boss marks the beginning of a new series by Julie Capulet and I think it couldn't have started better! I loved the Maddox brothers and the bond between them, plus I think Cash & Dusty have very interesting personal stories and I really liked the love story that the author wrote for them.
Dusty is one of the heroines that I like the most from this author: a girl who was abandoned by her father and who all her life had to fight with her mother and sister to survive, BUT also she has very clear goals, she knows what she wants to achieve in her personal & professional life and works VERY hard to achieve her goals, she's also very sweet, charming and I LOVE that she knows what she wants in life.
Cash is a billionaire who did everything to fulfill his dreams, just like Dusty he has a complex family life, especially when it comes to his father and I still really liked reading him reflecting and talking about him with Dusty . I also liked reading the grumpy and intimidating boss he is, his flirtatious, seductive personality and how kind he can be to the people around him.
Dusty & Cash have one of the best beginnings I've ever read: when they are both in Hawaii for work, their attraction to each other is immediate and they decide to spend a night together, without names or anything else, the problem for both begins when neither can stop thinking about the other and I loved that Cash did everything to find his Tex, and when the reunion finally happened, Dusty discovers that the man who gave him an unforgettable night is his new boss at the job she always dreamed of. And although it seems that things between these two happen very quickly, I think Julie is the best to write these types of stories because Cash is the best when trying to make Dusty happy, supporting her unconditionally and giving her the best moments when he decides to open his heart to her and confess EVERYTHING he feels and the way in which she changed his life. However, and even though I really enjoyed reading Dusty & Cash, I have to say that I didn't like that Cash & Emma didn't understand, nor try to understand, Dusty's fears and mainly that she made him feel that she was exaggerating or that her feelings were baseless.

Amé a los hermanos Maddox y el vinculo que hay entre ellos, además, creo que Cash & Dusty tienen historias personales muy interesantes y me gustó mucho la historia que la autora escribió para ellos.
Dusty es una de las heroínas que más me gustan de esta autora: una chica que fue abandonada por su papá y que toda su vida tuvo que luchar junto a su mamá y su hermana para poder sobrevivir, PERO también tiene metas muy claras, sabe lo que quiere conseguir de su vida personal & profesional y trabaja MUY duro para lograr sus objetivos, también es muy dulce, encantadora y AMO que sepa lo que quiere en la vida, sin importar lo que otros le digan.
Cash es un millonario que hizo todo para cumplir sus sueños, al igual que Dusty tiene una vida familiar compleja, especialmente cuando se trata de su padre y aún así me gustó mucho leerlo reflexionando y hablando sobre él con Dusty. También me gustó leer su lado de jefe gruñón e intimidante, su personalidad coqueta, seductora y lo amable que puede llegar a ser con las personas a su alrededor.
Dusty & Cash tienen uno de los mejores comienzos que he leído: cuando ambos están en Hawaii por trabajo, su atracción por el otro es inmediata y deciden pasar una noche juntos, sin nombres ni otro tipo de información, el problema para ambos empieza cuando ninguno puede dejar de pensar en el otro y me encantó que Cash hiciera hasta lo imposible por encontrar a su Tex, y cuando el reencuentro por fin se da, Dusty descubre que el hombre que le dio una noche inolvidable es su nuevo jefe en el empleo que siempre soñó. Y aunque parece que las cosas entre estos dos pasan muy rápido, creo que Julie es la mejor para escribir este tipo de historias porque Cash es el mejor cuando trata de hacer feliz a Dusty, apoyarla de manera incondicional y darle los mejores momentos cuando decide abrirle su corazón y confesarle TODO lo que siente y la manera en la que ella cambio su vida. Sin embargo, y aún cuando disfruté mucho leyendo a Dusty & Cash tengo que decir que no me gustó que Cash & Emma no entendieran, ni intentaran comprender, los miedos de Dusty y principalmente que ella le hiciera sentir que estaba exagerando o que sus sentimientos eran sin fundamento.
