Welcome to The Great Digi Scrap Off 4.0! My name is Karen aka Scrapdolly and I am excited to host our Show Stopper challenge!

We are not requiring participants to pre-register this year. Just come and play along with us each week!

My Challenge is called Hit All the Right Notes. For this challenge you will need to include at least 5 pictures which feature 5 different things from your everyday life. You can of course include more. But, you need to also include song lyrics as journaling from a song that expresses how you feel about your everyday life.

For my layout, I used Laughter, Love, Happiness by Lorie M.

and also the coordinating digital stamps/words https://pickleberrypop.com/shop/Laughter-Love-Happiness-Digital-stamps-Wordarts.html

Here is my sample layout and explanation

living-in-the-moment.jpg

I am very lucky to be retired and my everyday life is pretty chilled, and so the song I went with, both for the title of my page and the lyrics at the bottom, is the wonderful Living in the Moment by Jason Mraz. If you don’t know it, I highly recommend a google and a listen.

I opted to show some mundane parts of my day like cooking and my committee work, but also a flavour of the other features of my everyday life; some art and creativity, a frapp (maybe not every day but too often!) a daily walk, usually at the beach and time with my soul mate and our two Bengal boys.

So to summarise

  • use at least 5 different pictures about your daily life
  • use song lyrics as part or all of your journalling to sum up how you feel about your everyday life
  • make sure at least 75% of your layout is made using products currently in the PBP store.

General Rules
Your pages for each challenge must be new pages in order to qualify for credit. You cannot use PBP Team Challenge layouts for GDSO layout completion. All GDSO layouts must be posted in our GDSO gallery here: https://pickleberrypop.com/forum/media/categories/the-great-digi-scrap-off-2022.1158/ with proper credit given. See our PDF guide!

Specific Rules for Signature Challenges
Use It All Challenge: You must use ALL and ONLY the items in the mini kit. The 75% PBP Rule does not apply to this challenge.
Template Challenge: You must use current PBP Products for your challenge layouts (and the template).
Mystery Box Challenge: You must only use the contents of this Mystery Box for your layout.
Living in: Hope Collab Challenge: You must use only our Living in: Hope Designs. You should have several parts of the collab already, if you have been playing along with us.

BBD Challenge: You can only use our March BBD products

Weekly Technical and Showstopper Challenges
The Technical and Showstopper challenges must use at least 75% current/active product in the PBP Shop in order to qualify for credit. Technical and Showstopper Challenges CANNOT be completed using the Use it All Mini Kit, Template or Mystery Box that is given with Signature Challenges.

All three challenges must be completed by the deadline each week in order to qualify for the weekly participation prize and to be considered for our weekly Star Scrapper Award.

Our Grand Prize will be awarded to one scrapper who completes all 15 challenges by the last week’s deadline. This means even if you don’t finish each week on time, you can still catch up to earn the remaining prizes and qualify for the Grand Prize!

Start a post in the GDSO Challenge Tracking thread
Keep this up to date with links to the layouts that you’ve completed and uploaded to the GDSO gallery. Please make sure you are linking to your page IN THE GDSO GALLERY, not the thread post in the challenge.

Final deadline for all layouts is April 4 @11:59pm ET. At that time the tracking thread will be locked, the final weekly prizes will be sent, and winners will be contacted by April 7.

Other an facetime, texting or talking to family members, my day consists of breakfast, interacting with one of my six cats, reading (book I am reading now is "The Man that Died Twice", photoshop and a walk in Veterans Park. Those are the photos I included. I chose a children's song that I heard while playing with my granddaughter. It sums up how I feel. It is "A Beautiful Day". I am a pretty simple person and see the goodness in everyday and I am grateful for that.

Thank you for the challenge! I had a lot of fun in putting this one together!
My everyday life involve chores that repeat daily when living on a farm. My kitchen table that we I walk by daily reminds me of all the memories that as a family have enjoyed; the smiles and more smiles I get from watching our dogs play and the geese, too! My family all live close by so we see each other every day or so. And, we are in the beginning stages of building a home for us. The lyrics to the 227 Theme Song is really more appropriate that anything I could think of.... There's No Place Like Home!!
