POV - Dual 👫🏻

“For anyone who thought they had found their happily-ever-after only to watch it explode in their face... Good news, my love. You're not done yet.”

I’m a simple Gal. Cowboys, and Donuts, that’s all I ask for. And when I tell you Elizabeth delivered on the Cowboy(s) 😏
This was my first read by Elizabeth Bright, and I couldn’t get enough. I finished this book in like, a day? I hated having to put it down. This was such a smooth, easy read with a story they kept on flowing beautifully.

We have James, a strong FMC who knows her worth but is fighting for her dad to see it too. She wants to work at their family business, Blue Skies farm and be head horse trainer, but gets over looked and passed up. So what does she do? She goes where she’s wanted. And that just so happens to be at Lodestar Ranch in Colorado.
And that my friends, is where Adam comes in. He’s a grumpy cowboy & single dad, with a past relationship that really did him in. He believes that your one true love only happens once in life, and that already happened to him..Right?
So when he finds out James, in her cute pink cowboy boots, is the new trainer..? This girl thinks she’s going to be able to ride the unridable Palimino “Belle the Beast”? Well here’s the thing. James doesn’t back down from a fight, and most certainly won’t stay down if thrown off a horse. All it takes is a little patience, hope and most importantly, work to rebuild that trust and create a bond with Ad..Belle. Belle, the horse. 😁

This story gives playful banter, sentiment, swoon worthy moments, laughs and downright tugs on all your heart strings.
The supporting characters through out this book were immaculate and had me wanting to know more about them and their backstories.
- The brothers?? I need their books ASAP, I haven’t picked who’s my favorite yet.
- Hannah? I laughed out loud 🪡🧵❤️ easily one of my fav characters.
- Chloe and Essie? The best of friends we all need, and want in our lives.
- And of course we can’t forget Ted and his sandwich making skills. 😉

This beautiful story will leave you grasping at the reigns for more..and you just so happen to be in luck…😉
Buuuut in the meantime, In the words of Chloe, “Save a horse…Save so many horses.” 😜💕

HUGE Thank You to Elizabeth Bright for this ARC. I can’t wait for what more you have to come, and I’ll be on the sidelines cheering you on as you go! 👏🏻❤️

A Cowboy in the Streets
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.75)

Thank you Elizabeth Bright and her team for giving me that opportunity to receive an eARC of this book. I am so very glad I was able to read this and read her work for the first time.

Oh my. I ate this up. I LOVE MYSELF A GRUMPY COWBOY. Such a perfect grumpy x sunshine book if you need one. Like I loved this book so much. One of my new favorite cowboy romances for sure this year. Like wow.

I really liked James character so much. She was such a positive character, a badass horse trainer, an ambitious woman. I just adored her. She was one head strong FMC who knew what she wanted and she went for it and got what she deserved even when she was unsure of it.

Adam. Oh Adam. That man deserves everything even when he doesn’t think so. He’s a single dad, grumpy cowboy, a very closed off man who I wanted to give a hug to so many times. His mouth? Don’t even get me started on the way this man speaks because I will fall on the floor and melt in a puddle or get on my knees.

I absolutely admired and loved how the relationship between the two unraveled and was created. They were each others missing piece that they needed to be whole.

This book was just so lovely. A short, quick, and amazing read. I am so thankful I got the opportunity to read this before release. Releases May 31!! (Go get it)

Tropes:
* grumpy x sunshine
* one bed
* small town romance

This book far exceeded my expectations!! I LOVED it!! It was so sweet, funny, sad, sexy! I couldn't put it down, read it all in one day. Adam and James are perfect for each other. Whenever one of them gets in their own head, the other is right there to pull them back out. Their chemistry was amazing and their banter was 🧑🏻‍🍳💋!

I devoured this book! It was everything I love in a rom-com including fantastic banter, the best swoon worthy moments, really funny moments, tension, spicy and just love for these two main characters. There’s slow dancing in the kitchen! So many sweet moments I loved between James and Adam.

James was such a great FMC- she is really strong and goes after what she wants. She’s determined to make something of herself. She’s a really good horse trainer too! Adam is a true cowboy in the streets and a beast in the sheets. He has so many layers and as the book goes on we learn more about him and just love his grumpy sunshine character. He calls her buttercup!

It was such a fun enjoyable read that I couldn’t put down. I just wanted to spend all my time with James and Adam, family and the horses. Such a great heartwarming story.

4.5 ⭐️ Adored this book! I mean cowboy x single dad ? what more could you want.

Really this book was super cute and sizzling. This small town romance was just what I needed and Elizabeth DELIVERED.

James and Adam were top tier from the start. The MEET-CUTE are you kidding me? I loved their relationship from the beginning. The whole grumpy x sunshine really played its part there and the banter. Loved it. But the way Adam and James cared for each other when they both thought they shouldn’t just melted my heart.

This story was just incredible. They both found a new person inside of each other to start over. 🤍

This book was a breath of fresh air with a stunning HEA. I love me a cowboy romance, but sometimes the cowboy is over done… I can gladly tell you that Adam and James were perfectly molded in this one! I was quite literally in a puddle at one point/kicking/squealing. I want to copy and paste Adam. James is a certified baddie. A miss independent if you will, that has roped herself Mr. Resting Grump Face.

-grumpy X sunshine
- age gap (but not too focused on that so might be good start for those wanting to try age gap out!)
- workplace romance
-single dad

This one seriously just had me feeling so giddy afterward!! After all the dark romances recently, this was the perfect cup of sunshine!

Grumpy cowboy and sunshine horse trainer, yes PLEASE!

I have firmly been in my cowboy romance era and this story felt fresh and delightful.

Elizabeth, thank you for the ARC copy of this - I feel honored to have read it.

I absolutely was kicking my feet at multiple different points during this book. The banter, the tension, the SPICE. But with a great plot, because we plot and spice here.

I can’t tell you how happy I am to know that this was the first book in a series and we will get to see more of Adam and James as side characters in the future reads.

THIS. GOD. DAMN. BOOK.

I never wanted to put it down. James and Adam are so cute and while I hate miscommunication tropes, I did like that they were able to work through it.

I actually can’t wait to read the rest of this series now because god I just want more of all the characters that were introduced. Like everything was set up so well and it all flowed perfectly.

Thank you Elizabeth Bright and team for the opportunity to read this book and give my honest review. Loved everything about it so much 💕

Such a wonderful book - fully of laughable and heart warming moments. Adam’s back story of his marriage was refreshing, it gave so much meaning to how he ultimately decided to be the man James deserved. James was a strong FMC in a male run world and not once did she come off as weak or lacking. Their HEA was so sweet. Really hoping Hannah gets a book and I am already foaming at the mouth for Brax & Essie’s book, the tension was to die for.

First book by this author and certainly won’t be my last!

ARC review:

Cowboy romances have quickly taken over my life. A cowboy in the Streets did NOT disappoint! I’m a sucker for a small town, single dad, grumpy-sunshine cowboy romance. Did I mention single dad? Has to be one of my favorite tropes! I love the relationship that grew between James & Adam. Even while Adam was being his usual grumpy self, he still respected James and watched her do her thing. I loved the progression of their relationship throughout the book.. it wasn’t too fast so it felt like a real relationship.

If you’re a fan of cowboy romances and small town romances, give this book a try! I doubt you will be left disappointed.

Thank you to the author, Elizabeth Bright, for giving me the opportunity to read this!

I had the opportunity to read this book as an ARC and I’m giddy that I had the privilege! This was my first Elizabeth Bright book and I’m an *insta-fan*. This is what I love about arcs, having the chance to read new authors and fall in love with their stories is one of my favorite things about being a reader.

James is an incredible horse trainer who spent her whole life working on her parent’s ranch in California and has dedicated everything to her work. But, when the opportunity to get the head trainer job comes up, her dad tells her she “doesn’t have what it takes” because he can’t fathom a woman being in charge. Cue MAJOR eye roll 🙄- as a woman and a mom to a daughter, I can’t imagine ever making her feel like she can’t accomplish anything in the world that she wants to do. But James being the badass that she is doesn’t succumb to her father’s whims, instead she tells him she quits and gets a job on Lodestar Ranch in Colorado.

Enter Adam. He’s running his families ranch and can’t seem to keep a head trainer on staff. With his gruff exterior and high expectations, no one is up to snuff in his eyes. So, his dad takes it into his own hands to hire James, who Adam has “heard of”- but hilariously has no idea she’s a woman. When they have quite the “collision” 😏 of a first encounter, Adam has no idea that this woman is his new head trainer and when he finds out he knows it just can’t work out. Butttttt her dad put into her contract that she gets paid for 6 months regardless so she might as well work for it, right? And she does. She’s great at what she does and even trains the one horse no one seems to be able to break.

Adam and James are drawn to each other and when things heat up, they agree to keep things professional at work when he’s her boss and not so professional when he’s “not her boss”- absolutely nothing can go wrong with that right?

They both have their own issues they’re trying to work through. I can’t begin to imagine going through what Adam’s ex wife did, leaving Adam feeling like he’s never anyone’s first choice. And James just wants to prove to everyone (but mostly her sexist dad) that she’s more than enough and doesn’t just have to bear babies and take care of the home because she’s a woman. She can be and do more.

“I kissed you because I was cold and you are the fucking sun”

I love the strength shown in this book and how the love was shown. James didn’t need Adam, she wanted him. She chose him. That’s a wonderful kind of love.

Thank you to the author, Elizabeth Bright for the ARC.

Read this book if you are tired of unrealistic scenarios.
This was light and fluffy with a dash of heavy topics
This book felt real.

TW: loss of a spouse, loss of a parent, alcohol abuse, cancer, sexism (dad doesn’t think she is good enough)

James: she’s good and excellent horse trainer, eager to proved she’s more than the girl her dad assumes her to be.

Adam: Runs his family owned ranch. Single dad, very attractive and grumpy cowboy.

What I liked:
I loved the girl friendships, I am a sucker for a group of girls who get along! Bonus that they embroidered! I cross stitch, which is different but I love the stabbing things reference!
James’ relationship with Ben- I love that she had a friendship with Adam’s son BEFORE Adam.
The handling of heavy topics: while this book dealt with topics many would find heavy, the way they were handled was delicate and made the book feel realistic.
The one bed trope: while they common- I approve of the way that the one bed trope was used! It didn’t feel like the whole plot was centered around it.
The atmosphere: I have never been to Colorado, but the way the scenery was described, I could picture it perfectly.
The Rodeos!!! I love when characters in books have hobbies or professions that I know nothing about ! Feels like an opportunity to introduce me to something new, gently- and if I like it, I know I can pick up more in that realm.
The accidental mouth assaults. I Laughed out loud each time it happened or was called back to

What didnt work for me:
The Grumpy sunshine trope: normally I am moderately indifferent to it. It’s fine if it happens, it’s fine if it doesn’t.
But I felt it was mentioned too much. Like it took me out of the story quite a bit. The FMC calls him grumpy cowboy to his face, the FMC friends call him it. And there is one quote in the book where the MMC says “No. I kissed you because I was cold and you are the fucking sun.” Which I highlighted because I liked it- but then I realized that it was really over done.

Overall, i enjoyed this book and will be picking up the sequel this Autumn!

First of all I want to say a HUGE thank you to Elizabeth Bright for the ARC!!!
We are only a week away from the official pub date!!!

let me start with adam🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️
!!! a “cowboy in the streets and a beast in the sheets” is the perfect way to describe him. Our MMC is everything soft, sweet, and gentlemanly and omg I just want to reach through the pages and hug this man and beat up anyone who ever hurt him.

James is the epitome of a bad a** FMC. She knows what she wants and goes after it whether it’s her dreams, her horse, or her man😍😍. I love how she is just not afraid to speak her mind and her personality is who we all want to be.

James is a star horse trainer trying to work her way up in her family ranch but she keeps getting shot down for the big promotion. When an opportunity arises at Lodestar Ranch for a new horse trainer James finds herself on the gorgeous ranch in Colorado… working for an even more gorgeous grumpy cowboy. And let’s just say their meet cute… is more awkward than cute! (but actually it’s still so cute) Adam has been running his family ranch since tragedy struck their family and is doing everything he can to work their way back up. His last resort is hiring James to work for Lodestar… but he’s not expecting for her to not only warm up Lodestar but also warm his heart. But Adam is James’s boss… and no matter the temptation they can’t cross those lines… or can they?

Ya’ll this book has already moved its way to my top 10 this year and it’s only May!!! Elizabeth Bright just knows what she is doing as an author & you do not want to miss out on any of her books!!!

I will be thinking about Adam and James for the rest of my life. And also can I just say… someone PLEASE tell me what is going on with Brax and Essie (keep an eye out for their story this fall!!!

James works at her families horse farm and is hoping to get a promotion to lead horse trainer. Unfortunately for her she’s been passed up once again for a promotion. Her dad lets her know that the new lead trainer Eli will be starting next week. James is instead offered to be the trainer specializing in the brand new women’s rodeo program. She declines the offer and starts looking for a new job.

Adam owned Lodestar Ranch and their only hope of getting the ranch back on the map is Belle of the Ball. However, the only person who’s been able to ride Belle is Adam’s late mom. Adam’s dad hired James to be their new head trainer and Adam assumes she’s a man when he hears her name. Adam has a habit of running off trainers so his dad made him promise to give James 6 months of work before deciding anything.

Carl is kind of a jerk and seems very sexist to me. I love Adam and his family. James is a badass and I absolutely loved her!
I stayed up so late reading this. I didn’t want to put it down. Grumpy/sunshine is one of my favorite tropes and Elizabeth Bright wrote it fantastically. I’ve only read a few cowboy romances but I think I’ll be making a point to read more.

The dedication in this book made my heart happy.

Favorite quote - “You know what they say, a cowboy in the streets, a beast in the sheets”

Chapters were a perfect length for me but that’s all person preference. I prefer shorter chapters.

Another cowboy romance that I just absolutely loved!
Especially James, the fmc, she her sweet, kind, but also knows what she wants kinda girl.
Don't let her pink boots fool you, she's a talented horse trainer who can hang with the guys...actually she exceeds them. She shows them how things get done when all else fails.
This is probably the first time I've come across when the fmc says "You're mine" first.
But seriously, her compassion for those around her, including the animals. I just loved.
She wanted to prove to her dad that she was capable of the things men were. But he never would give her a chance. So she took matters into her own hands...
Ugh her dad. I could tell he loved her, but still. I completely stood with James and her thoughts on everything.

Now Adam, yea he's your grumpy single dad cowboy who's heart was broke and I felt for him when the truth was revealed on how.
He also cared for those around him...he just did it with a scowl on his face. 😆

The first interaction between these two was priceless. 🤣
But the actual meeting and realize who James actually was....a she for that matter, was even more hilarious.
Adam was not prepared.

This book had it all, emotional bits, funny, spiciness, and just heartwarmingly good moments. And tense. There were tense moments too.
Haha James isn't the only territorial one.

I just really enjoyed this book, the ending was perfect and I was able to get the bonus epilogue and I LOVED it. Ahhh 🥰

definitely excited for the next book about Brax and Essie....I know their story is gonna be very interesting and intenese.

This was my first read by Elizabeth Bright, and I couldn’t get enough. I hated having to put it down for the little bit I did. This was such an easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
James is a strong FMC who knows her worth but is fighting for her dad to see it too. She wants to work at their family farm as the head horse trainer, but gets over looked and passed up simply because she is a woman. So naturally, she does what any strong, independent, bad a** woman would do. She finds a job where she’s welcomed at Lodestar Ranch in Colorado.
Adam is a grumpy cowboy & single dad, with a past relationship that really did him in. But he is also so soft, sweet and a true gentleman. (Until he’s not 😊) He was raised to believe that your one true love only happens once in life, and is chance was blown on a woman who wasn’t the one.

The meet-cute was adorably awkward and had me laughing so hard. They thought they’d never see each other again so when he finds out the gorgeous woman from the coffee shop, in her cute pink cowboy boots, is the new trainer he loses his mind. The playful banter, swoon worthy moments, laughs and even the angst made this book so, so amazing. I loved the supporting characters throughout this book and I would love to see them have their own story and in the words of Chloe, “Save a horse…Save so many horses.”

4.5🌟!! Thank you so much to Elizabeth Bright for the ARC copy of this book! I was so excited for the opportunity to read A Cowboy in the Streets before publication day.

A Cowboy in the Streets follows the story of James, a female horse trainer who leaves her dream of being a lead trainer at her family's ranch after realizing her father is never going to see her as worthy of anything but a future mother of his grandchildren. After landing a job as a lead trainer at a different ranch, James realizes her biggest challenge isn't going to be the problem child thorough bred horse she is supposed to train, it's her grumpy cowboy boss who she can't seem to stop looking at.

I read this book in one day. Immediately upon starting this book I was a huge James fan. She was such a good mix of upbeat positivity and confident, take no guff from anyone, which just so happened to be the perfect kryptonite for Adam, the grumpy to her sunshine. In addition to the great chemistry between the main characters, the author did a great job including lovable side characters who I absolutely am hoping get their own book someday. I also really appreciated the fact that, although there definitely was some miscommunication, it never got too out of hand and the characters actually communicated, which went a long way to keeping me, as a reader, from getting frustrated and made me love them all the more.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more books from this author. If you like cowboy romances, grumpy sunshine love stories, and sweet family dynamics, I would highly recommend this book.

I want to start this review off by saying a huge thank you to Elizabeth Bright for the ARC! I am so glad I was selected for an ARC and was introduced to a new author!

Read A Cowboy In The Streets if you love:
- banter
- single dad
- boss x employee
- secret dating
- one bed
- he takes care of her when she’s injured
- small town
- grumpy x sunshine

We have James who is a very independent woman and knows her worth, but struggles to make her father know it too. She’s always dreamed to work side by side with her dad at their family ranch, Blue Skies Farm, as head trainer, except her dad passes her up for promotions time and time again, because his dreams for her are to marry and have a family soon. So, James leaves and takes the head trainer position at Lodestar Ranch, where we meet Adam👀

Adam is a single dad that runs Lodestar Ranch and is known for being a grumpy cowboy. He’s had a rocky past with love and has given up on it completely. That is until James and her pink cowgirl boots come crashing into his life in the most hilarious way in the small town coffee shop one morning. Later that day, he has plans to meet his new head trainer, and while Adam assumes “he” will show up any minute, he’s shocked to his core when that same beautiful woman from the coffee shop is his new employee.

I loved reading Adam and James’s story and cannot wait for the rest of this series! I fell in love with the main characters as well as all the side characters! The banter and friendships in this book were amazing, and don’t even get me started on the spice🥵 Not too many scenes, the plot definitely outweighs the spice imo, but the few scenes we do get are hot!

So good I finished in one day!
James Campos is one strong and determined FMC. The day she realized her dad would never promote her over a man was the day she left her family ranch for new opportunities. Which lead her to Adam Hale single dad, and grump cowboy. He wants what’s best for his family’s ranch as they are in a rebuilding mood after the loss of his mother. So when his father tells him he’s managed to hire James Campos as their head trainer for their horses, Adam doesn’t have any complaint since he’s heard great things about James.

One thing he didn’t hear was that she’s a girl. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Until James shows up at his ranch and it gets better when he finds out she’s the same woman for the coffee shop ,whom he’d had an interesting encounter with. And now she and her pink boots are on his ranch baking cookies and bonding with his 11 year old son, how could he do anything but fall for her.

Loved the build up between these two. The story has so many loud out loud moments for me as well as a few that pulled on the heart strings. The side characters were so much fun and I desperately need to know what’s happening between Brax and Essie! Elizabeth Bright is a new to me author and I’m so happy I stubbled upon her and her book!

This. Book. Was. So. Good! For the people that love Elsie Silver and Lyla Sage. Adam and James are so cute together. Their first encounter was wild and I laughed out loud, mostly because that would be something that would happen to me. I was a little thrown off at first about her name being James, but it grows on you. I love how James takes time to get to know Ben (Adam’s son) and builds a relationship with him. James’ dad was a COMPLETE asshole. I’m glad that she told him her worth and left to find another job where they would appreciate it and didn’t let him change her mind and rush back later. Adam has his quirks but overall he’s a great guy. I can’t imagine how it would be to realize that the “love of your life” leaves you to spend her dying days with another man would do a person, but he seems to have taken it in more of stride than I would have. I give this book a solid 4.5 star review. Can’t wait for everyone else to get to read this book!

See below for some of my favorite quotes.

“You know what they say, a cowboy in the streets, a beast in the sheets.”

“She might be short but no way was I going to let this turnip of a man make her feel small. I didn’t care who he was.”

“Save a horse, James. Save so many horses.”

““I need you to get me out of my bra.” He froze. “Come again?” “Under normal circumstances, removing a sports bra is like wrestling an anaconda. It requires strength, endurance, and dexterity. Quite frankly, I’m lacking all three right now.””

“I’m glad you were a footnote in someone else’s happily-ever-after, because that’s what made you who you are today.”

I just want to start off by thanking Elizabeth for including me as part of her ARC team.

Even though I was an ARC reader for this book, this is still my honest review.

This was my first read by Elizabeth and holy cow, I cannot say enough good things about it. I LOVED this book. Like legitimately loved everything about it. It is easily one of my top small town romance reads this year. Her writing flows so seamlessly and the inner monologues of the characters? She does them so well.

I absolutely adored James. I also love horses and love to ride so she hit a soft spot in my heart. The way she (pun intended) grabbed the reins in a man’s world with grace and leadership was incredible. And then there is Adam. I just wanted to reach out and hug him the whole time. The relationship that transpired between these two stole my heart. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. I loved how they supported one another and helped heal the hurt.

Overall, this book was nothing short of incredible. It’s a short, fun read but the story lacks nothing. I can’t wait for the next book in this series, (*cough cough* Brax.)
Elizabeth has definitely earned herself a list on my auto-buy list.

This is the first book I have read by Elizabeth Bright but it certainly won’t be the last. As soon as I saw the blurb for Cowboy in the Streets ( Lodestar Range #1) I knew this was going to be a book I wanted to read and I wasn’t disappointed. If you love single dad, grumpy/sunshine romances look no further than this gem of a read.
This is single dad and ranch owner Adam Hale and horse trainer James journey and boy do they have a tale to tell.
James is miss independent, she is strong, sassy and knows what she wants after all she works in a man’s world and this is her chance to prove herself. If only her new grumpy boss wasn’t so hot……
Adam has the weight of the world on his shoulders, his heart has been broken and he has no time for romance. His son must always come first and getting involved with a woman like James would be a leap of faith and he is not sure he is ready to jump.
This book touched me on so many levels, it was a breath of fresh air and I highly recommend it to all romance lovers. I fell hard and fast for grumpy Adam, I want the strong and sassy James in my corner but it was the relationship Adam had with his son that really stole my heart.
Looking forward to reading more by the very talented Ms Bright.

I absolutely ate this up. There’s just something about a cowboy romance 😅 then throw in a single dad? Age gap? And grumpy x sunshine tropes? I’m done for!!

James the fmc, had such compassion for others and a passion and spark about her that immediately draws you in and makes you want to protect her at all costs.
There aren’t too many fmc that know what they want and vocalize what that is. So this book was such a breath of fresh air. And the communication??!? Chefs kiss! 😘

Adam the mmc, is no different, definitely the definition of a grumpy cowboy. But his care for the people in his life is immeasurable. He may not look like he cares, with his resting grump face, but deep down he’s a gentle soul.

I HIGHLY recommend this book if you want a slightly spicy single dad cowboy romance.

Favorite Quotes:

“You know what they say, a cowboy in the streets, a beast in the sheets.”

“No. I kissed you because I was cold and you are the fucking sun.”

“I’m glad you were a footnote in someone else’s happily-ever-after, because that’s what made you who you are today.”

Tropes:
🤠 small town romance
✨ single dad
🤠 age gap
✨ grump x sunshine
🤠 one bed
✨ boss x employee
🤠 dual pov

First and foremost, thank you to author Elizabeth Bright for providing me an ARC and allowing me to read this story early! This was a beautifully well-written small town, cowboy romance.

James, our sunshine FMC, is a determined, smart, hard-working, and dedicated horse trainer. She initially leaves her family ranch to prove to her father that she’s worth more than just being a traditional wife/mom homemaker someday, but she’s actually one of the best horse trainers in the country and wants to have her own career. She sets off to take a job as the lead trainer at Lodestar Ranch. The owner of which is Adam, our grumpy MMC, is a widowed single dad who seems to have a permanent scowl and doesn’t believe in second chances at love.

As James finds her place in Colorado at Adam’s ranch, she slowly breaks down his walls. The two not only embark on a journey to build the ranch back up to its potential, but they also start to realize that maybe, just maybe, they could help heal each other in a way neither of them knew they needed to be healed.

This is a mild/mid-spice love story with an HEA that will have you feeling allllllll the feels. I cannot wait to see what is in store next for Essie & Brax 👀

This book checked off all my boxes. Small town, grumpy/sunshine, single dad, cowboy with a healthy dash of spice. It had moments of pure laugh out loud humor, and pull-at-your-heartstrings emotion. I loved that we don’t have a third act breakup and even though I’m not a fan of miscommunication, the author did a very good job of establishing that miscommunication is not healthy in a relationship. She used the trope really well within the character development of Adam. I also loved that James was truly focused on choosing herself throughout the book. It was really refreshing to see a character not get walked all over. This is my first book with this author but I will absolutely be back for more and I can’t wait for Essie and Brax’s book.

I knocked off a star simply because I wanted more from certain aspects of the book: I wanted to see more of James and Ben’s relationship on page; I thought the Stephen conflict cleared up a bit too easily; and I thought there should have been a scene where James confronts her father to completely deny the job. I love the author’s writing and thought she could have done fantastic with adding more to these aspects of the book.

Thank you to the author for my gifted eARC in return for an honest review. My opinions are my own.

A Cowboy in the Streets by Elizabeth Bright was AMAZING! I mean a grumpy x sunshine trope and cowboys, sign me up. I absolutely devoured this book! This was well written and I absolutely loved the characters. The storyline progressed perfectly!

James was a great FMC! She was a strong, independent, and funny. I loved how she never gave up on her dreams no matter what. I also loved her friend group. Chloe was so funny and I hope to see more of her! Adam was the perfect brooding cowboy. I liked how James and Adam’s relationship progressed throughout the story. I am definitely excited to read more from Elizabeth Bright! I absolutely loved how this was written. I highly recommend this book if you love cowboy, grumpy x sunshine, and single dad romance books!

If you are a fan of Elise Silver’s cowboy romances, then you are going to love this book!

Wow, just wow 🤩 give me a grumpy Cowboy, whose also a single dad and I swoon. I ate this book up, I absolutely LOVED it!

James is a horse trainer, her dad doesn’t take her seriously. When he passes over her for a promotion she wants, she looks for employment elsewhere. Landing her in a very interesting meet cute with a grumpy cowboy, soon she’ll realize he’s her new boss. Adam is a grumpy cowboy single dad, he’s been through a lot, making him very closed off. He felt so undeserving, I wanted to hug him 🥹

I loved these characters so much, James was such a strong FMC. She knew what she wanted, even left her family ranch because her dad was holding her back. She was so happy and caring, I loved the friendship she started with Ben, Adam’s son. Adam was grumpy and mostly spoke in grunts at first, he ends up opening up to James. Once he opened up, the mouth on that man 🥵

I HIGHLY recommend this book, if you love a good cowboy romance, you’ll absolutely love it!
