RACE FORMAT
The fleet of twelve teams is split between the invited teams and the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup teams. The Qualification Series sees a total of eight races completed for both groups. The top three teams from each group progress into a Final Series of four races to decide the top two teams that will go head-to-head in a winner-takes-all Final Match Race. Racing starts at 2pm (14:00 CEST) on race days (times might adjust slightly on the days that coincide with Louis Vuitton Cup racing), and runs until 4 or 5pm, depending on the race schedule.

MEET THE TEAMS
All six of the confirmed entries for the America's Cup in Barcelona are fielding Puig Women’s America’s Cup teams. The six remaining teams come from Spain (Royal Barcelona Yacht Club), The Netherlands (Royal Netherlands Yacht Club & Royal Maas Yacht Club), Canada (Royal Vancouver Yacht Club), Germany (Kieler Yacht Club 3.V, Bayrischer Yacht Club, Norddeutscher Regatta Verein, and Verein Seglerhaus am Wannsee), Sweden (Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club) and Australia (Cruising Yacht Club of Australia).

KNOW THE RULES
Every sport has its own set of rules. In sailing, they're built to clarify who has "right-of-way" in different scenarios, and they are used strategically in a Match Race to help gain the upper hand. Break a rule, and your opponent will protest. If the umpires agree, you'll be given a penalty, and that could make or break the outcome of the race.
HOW TO WATCH
-
FROM LAND
The main activation is in the America's Cup Race Village along Moll de la Fusta, which will contain a main stage and four giant screens but doesn’t have a direct view of the water. The Fanzones in Plaça del Mar and Bogatell are opposite the race area and have giant screens for close-up action. Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents, Port Olímpic, and the beaches of St. Miguel, Barceloneta, and Somorrostro are also good options, but you need your mobile to watch the live show.
-
ON WATER
Areas around the race course will be dedicated to yachts and small crafts. If you plan to get on the water amongst the action, then you MUST visit our on-water information page and register your boat. Superyachts should contact BWA to be coordinated into the America’s Cup Superyacht Official Programme.
-
ON SCREENS
The Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup has partnered with broadcasters in many territories and the RACING will go LIVE at 2:00 pm (14:00 CEST). You can also catch it LIVE on the America’s Cup Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as www.americascup.com. If you missed the races or want to relive the action, full replays are available immediately after the racing finishes.

TRANSPORT OPTIONS
Barcelona and the metropolitan area have a sustainable public transport network, making getting around easy. To meet the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup sustainability targets we encourage all visitors not to travel by personal car. Park your vehicle in one of the car parks away from downtown, then walk or catch the metro and enjoy the views and activities walking by foot, hiring a bicycle or a scooter. Taxis are also a good option to make life easier and smoother for all.
