We start day six by leaving the lovely mountain town of Arachova where we stayed last night In the morning, we explore the world -class ancient site and Unesco site the museum of Delphi, classical Greece’s “navel of the Earth” and seat of its most important oracle. Drive east to the Aegean Sea and over a narrow strait to Chalkida, home to the oldest Jewish community in Europe. Visit the synagogue, the cemetery, and the park and ramble the lively waterfront tayelet . in full view of the sprawling megalopolis. ...more
