One of the winners is Marmoset@EBRAINS run by 𝐝𝐫. 𝐏𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐤𝐚 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞. Congratulations! 👏 This is the first Polish project to establish a close collaboration with EBRAINS. 🔹 As a result, the EBRAINS platform will gain a new marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) cerebral cortex atlas, based on a morphological brain template of 20 young adult individuals. Furthermore, comprehensive maps of neuronal distribution and data from 143 experiments on cortical connections will be made available. 🔸These new projects will significantly contribute to the continued development of EBRAINS as a key platform in the field of neuroscience. Daniel Wojcik elected Vice-Chairman Of The 𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒-𝐏𝐋 Council❗ 🔸On March 17th, on the eve of the European Brain Health Day, the first meeting of the EBRAINS-PL Consortium Governing Board took place. During the meeting, the Presidium of the Board was elected for a three-year term, including: ▪️𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 - Prof. Michal Nowicki from the Poznan Medical University ▪️𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 - Prof. Daniel Wójcik from the Nencki Institute and Prof. Monika Adamczyk Sowa from the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. 🔹The Consortium's coordinator is Dr. Cezary Mazurek from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. ➡ 𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒-𝐏𝐋 is an initiative bringing together Polish scientists, clinicians, and experts in modern information technologies who are jointly developing an advanced digital research infrastructure for brain sciences. The Consortium's activities align with global efforts to better understand brain function and work for better understanding of neurodegenerative diseases
