This is book one of this series, told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA. This is a spin off series focused on Less Than Zero’s bandmate, Connor’s, brothers. This book, along with all all of Kaylene Winter’s books help to bring awareness to everyday struggles that aren’t really talked about, which is one of my favorite things about her writing style. That being said, be sure to check the trigger warnings first.
I loved the chemistry between Cillian and Ivy. Even if one of them wasn’t being completely truthful their first time together, there was no denying the connection between them. My heart went out to Ivy with the way she was treated at home and how she was treated when the truth first came out. I loved how each character was shown to develop their strengths or how they were shown to their downfall before building themselves back up again. I loved how their chemistry was still strong after years apart and how they handled their situation together the second time around.
I have enjoyed all of Kaylene Winter’s books so far. I’m really excited to see how this series unfolds. I received an advanced readers copy. These thoughts and opinions are my own.

Kaylene broke barriers and tore down the walls of the taboo age gap love with this spicy, angsty love story. The book opens with present day prologue that throws you so many questions and curiosities that it ricochets you into the first chapter wanting to find out what happened, and it draws you into the story immediately.
Cillian and Ivy have a connection that truly ignites the pages and a love story that will give you butterflies time and time again while reading. The writing style is fresh and relatable and truly has you seeing the places in the books in your mind while you read. You can really feel what the characters are feeling and you just want to fight for their HEA. Get ready and settle in for this book because you won’t want to put it down.

What a ride!!! Tender Temptation has it all! Age Gap, Instant Love, Forbidden Love even some heartbreak. But Kaylene doesn’t disappoint at all!! There are triggers, so be sure to read the trigger warnings to be safe. We embark on the story of Ivy and Cillian and watch their relationship grow from their first meeting. Unfortunately it’s not without secrets though that end up causing the heartache for everyone. We go through the rollercoaster of emotions while both ivy and Cillian try to find themselves and navigate life apart. Some may say fate has other plans though. Be ready for some off the charts spice factor as well!!! Bonus part, getting a visit from a certain LTZ member is always a plus in any story!!!

After reading FEARLESS and meeting Connor McLoughlin and all of his brothers, I hoped they would get their HEAs at some point, and I am thrilled to see that they finally do. TENDER TEMPTATION is the first book in the CHARMING IRISH SERIES that follows the McLoughlin Brothers. This is Cillian's story.
Cillian McLoughlin is the CEO of McLoughlin Construction. He works hard during the day, and in the evening, he goes to Kel's, a local pub, to have a couple of beers before heading home. This is where he meets Ivy when she decides to go out and celebrate her birthday for the first time in years. You see, Ivy had a brother who died on her birthday years earlier, and ever since, her family didn't acknowledge the day, so she decided since her parents were out of the country, she was taking her birthday back and celebrating with a drink. Well, that drink turned into a whole lot more.
I enjoyed Cillian and Ivy's story. From the moment they met, you can tell they were meant for one another. Their relationship has them in a tiny bubble for most of the summer, and their focus is solely on them until it bursts and all hell breaks loose. I guess this is a good time to tell you about some of the content warnings, age gap of fourteen years, she hides the fact that she is the daughter of a billionaire, he has a tiny issue with drinking on the daily when they meet but it gets a whole lot worse after the bubble bursts, there is also verbal and emotional abuse within her family. I am pointing these out because they can be triggering for some readers, and they are not easily found. I will say that Kaylene Winter did a great job handling each with care, as I have seen her do in prior books. She doesn't hold back from hitting the complicated issues but does it gracefully.

The connection between Cillian and Ivy is undeniable. Their lives couldn't be so far apart from each other. This is a sexy, fast paced age-gap, insta-love story, full of angst. Navigating their love isn't easy but these two are truly made for each other.

As they got their second chance, I found myself easily rooting for them. All in all, Tender Temptation is definitely worth a chance. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Tender Temptation by Kaylene Winter, is the first book in the Charming Irish Series, in this book we meet Ivy Bright, she is a sweet girl and very bright, after tragedy touched her family, her father is demanding and overprotective with her, and his mother has become distant. On her eighteenth birthday, her parents decide to travel and leave her alone for the entire summer, which at first leaves her sad since they didn't even remember her birthday and left without saying goodbye. But she, shielded by a few small lies, decides to take advantage of the time to live a little of what her parents have not allowed her and go out to have fun and it's in a bar where she meets a man who with just one look leaves her breathless. Cillian McGloughlin is a man dedicated to his family and his family business, McGloughlin Construction, which he has run since his father retired. One night he goes out to have a good time at a bar and when he sees the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, he immediately approaches her and they start talking and the chemistry between them is intense. After spending a night together they find themselves more attracted to each other and what began as an fling ends up becoming a passionate and intense love affair. But Ivy hasn't been honest with him, she lied to him about who she really was and about her age and when Cillian finds out their relationship ends. This will take Ivy away from Seattle to try to heal her broken heart and try to recover her relationship with her parents and Cillian's breakup leads him down a path of self-destruction that almost costs him everything he has fought for, but when Ivy returns and they have to work together they will realize that their feelings remain the same. But they must face the prejudices and control of Ivy's father in order to find their happy ending.
This is an intense story full of passion and painful themes touched with great delicacy that make you understand the characters and bet on their happy ending. This Irish family was the one I enjoyed the most and I already want to know what will happen to Brennan. This story is entertaining, sweet and very real and I assure you that you will not want to pass it up. Totally, and Absolutely Highly Recommended!

I’ve been a super fan of Kaylene Winter since I read my first book by her. That by no means that I have read every book she has written, but only because sometimes I just can’t fit them in until sometime in the faraway galaxy future LOL The job of a blogger can get exhausting and limiting at times. Anywho, I’ve read and listened to her entire LTZ series and I haven’t looked back since.
#FunFact: I didn’t even know there was a connection between this series and LTZ until I started reading because I am a total failure at reading blubs or keeping up with social media posts LOL But, 🎉surprise,🎉 Connor McGloughlin, from Fearless (LTZ book 2), is Cillian’s, our MMC, brother! Anywho … about this story!
I liked this story overall, but something was off for me. I think mostly that was because I knew things were coming based on what I was reading, and I was just one edge over it all. The beginning of the story is very sexy and charming and actually builds a romance journey really well, but it's cloaked in a huge lie, so again, something is coming ... and then, of course, it all comes crashing down. There are big time jumps by chapter and then we begin anew. There's a lot of growth in these time jumps, and I honestly think they all pretty much needed to be fleshed out or what’s the point of having them in the story. Make sense?
The “present day” journey wasn’t bad, but again, the potential for so much more was right there, but again, superficial. For a handful of days I’ve been trying to figure out how to write this review up without giving away any details and it’s very hard! LOL I would have been much happier if the journey was a duet. The storyline actually could have been a trilogy and that would have allowed for the circumstances to “breath” and “grow”. It all just felt like bullet points and ugh, I don’t know.
Do the thing, don’t do the thing … I DON’T KNOW! Lol (sorry)

Tender Temptation is the first in a new series from Kaylene Winter. Although it is a new series (Charming Irish) these books are linked to the Less than Zero series. Cillian is Connor, (from that series) brother. We do get a little glimpse of Connor and Ronnie in this book, although it is only a little glimpse.
Cillian and Ivy meet and fall almost instantly for one another on Ivy's 18th birthday in a bar. Unfortunately, Cillian doesn't realise just how young Ivy is and their relationship is built on a lie. Added to this is Ivy's controlling and overbearing father who is intent on controlling her life, even if she is an adult who should be able to live her life as she chooses.
I really enjoyed the growth of the romance and relationship between these two. The age gap is rather large, which isn't always my favourite, but it worked here. They do make a good couple and I don't think that Ivy is at a disadvantage despite the difference in their lifestages.
There were a couple of things that did make me raise an eyebrow. Cillian's brother is in a very famous rock band, but Ivy doesn't even make a slight comment on this. Possibly because she comes from a very right back round herself. I would have thought she might have ad something to say though.

These two have many obstacles to overcome on their journey.
This is a well written emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, drama, heartbreak, an age gap, hidden identity, secrets, second chances, revelations, making choices, undeniable chemistry, passion, challenges, and instant love, which leads to a spicy, entertaining, tragic, and unpredictable addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is a well written emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, drama, heartbreak, an age gap, hidden identity, secrets, second chances, revelations, making choices, undeniable chemistry, passion, challenges, and instant love, which leads to a spicy, entertaining, tragic, and unpredictable addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is a second chance, which I love, and I'm not gonna lie I cried a lot. I absolutely loved Cillian and Ivy's story. I especially loved that it was their whole story and not just the reconnecting. The chemistry was great and it was well written.

This story is an emotional age-gap tale of love at first sight and what can happen when lies are told at the start of a relationship. Cillian first met Ivy in an Irish pub and their connection was instantaneous. Ivy had been sheltered and controlled by her father and had decided during a rare period of freedom that she was going to expand her horizons. They spent the night together and were inseparable for two months. Then her father arrived home, and Cillian found out she had lied about her age and her name. Both spiraled after their breakup, but life delivered them back into each other’s lives. Would it be a second chance? This is a contemporary romance novel about forbidden first love and second chances in more ways than one. The author deals with the struggle of alcoholism, parental emotional abuse, and the dynamics of a large, Irish family. This book was less involved than the Less Than Zero books, which spanned a great number of years, but it was heartfelt, emotional, and as always, stressed the importance of a supportive, loving family. Okay, before we even dive into the review, let me just say this: If you’ve ever doubted insta-love or age gap tropes, Kaylene is about to CHANGE. YOUR. MIND. She absolutely nailed it with Cillian and Ivy in Seattle (yes, you’ll totally fall in love with them).
Cillian is the perfect mix of strong yet haunted by old demons. Enter my girl Ivy. She’s young, smart, and so determined to break free from her overbearing parents, yet somehow wise beyond her years.
But LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! When these two meet for the first time, it’s like fireworks. I loved their connection so much.
But don’t be fooled by all the lovey-dovey vibes. This book hits hard with its emotional moments. Ivy’s dealing with a great loss that has left her feeling invisible to her family, while the expectations from her parents would make anyone want to scream. On the other side, Cillian’s work ethic is unmatched, but that doesn't mean his life has been a smooth ride. He’s had to face some heavy stuff too, with his family and within himself. Kaylene handled these hard topics with so much grace❤️

Kaylene Winter continues to impress me with her writing and I *love* it! ‘Tender Temptation’ is the first book in the ‘Charning Irish’ series. Cillian and Ivy meet at the beginning of the summer and continue to develop a relationship, but there are issues that they are unable to overcome. When they meet again, can they defy the odds and fall for each other again?
Cillian and Ivy are HAWT HAWT HAWT!!! Holy Cannoli, is their chemistry good!?! They have such a strong connection, stronger than so many age gap characters I read about. Their character arc is mesmerizing. I absolutely adore how much they grew over time!! There is definitely some heavy content, so please check the content warnings in the front of the book.

What is there not to love about Ivy , Killian , his Irish accent or this cover !?
I love the the way the author dealt with the trigger warning and she was true to her word she was honest but handled the topics with care and for that I say thank you 🥰🤗

Killian and Ivy share a very passionate few weeks together and fall in love but Ivy is withholding her true age and her parents don’t know about where she’s been and when the bombshell drops it’s absolutely heartbreaking 💔 Killian drowns his sorrows and ends up in rehab while Ivy escapes to Italy with her mom to heal and I must say her dad is a cruel man and he very nearly lost his daughter on more than one occasion!
Their paths did part for a while so when they meet up again they pick up where left off but they’ve many battles to fight but love always prevails and people get over themselves and realise the value of family and love and being part of their journey was a gift 🥰
I finished reading and then re read it just in case I missed something 🤷♀️📚🥰🤣 and guess what it was even better the second time round 😉

I love me a good age gap romance and Kaylene delivers a great one in Cillian and Ivy's story.
Cillian you may remember as being one of Connor McGloughlin's brothers! You know the famous bassist of Less than Zero.
There are crossover characters ( the McGloughlin family) but this is a complete standalone book. If you have not read the Less than Zero series you can read this book with no confusion.
I am over the moon happy we are getting Cillian's story. I really really hope we get all the McGloughlin boys books eventually!!!
Cillian and Ivy's connection was instant and filled with singular passion.
Ivy was young and looking for a walk on the wild side , escaping her oppressive parents for the summer.
She meets Cillian at a bar on her 18th birthday, it was instant sparks between the both of them.The problem is she is not truthful about who she is or how old she is.
So many trials and tribulations ensue from the connection that was brought between them.
This story has some truly heartbreaking moments. There is a certain character you are going to want to make disappear! All in all, a super solid romance filled with sweet swoon and so much growth for our main characters.
I loved Cillian and Ivy's passion, for each other and their chosen profession.

This coming of age story with age gap, hidden identities, insta love that's forbidden, and second chances is absolute perfection. This author truly amazes me with her ability to write a story especially when it comes to sensitive topics. It is beautifully written. I really loved the way that this book weaved together all the intricate details into the storyline and how it progressed. All kinds of feels too. This truly was a captivating read. I highly recommend reading it won't disappoint.

This is a story of insta love, 14 yr age gap, hidden identity, virgin heroine, different backgrounds, small town life, alcoholism rep, Ivy seeking freedom and found family.
While I enjoyed the story I found it draggy at times. There was a few things that just didn’t sit well with me and I’m not sure if it was because it was an arc and not the finished product or if that was the intention of the author.
I loved the family dynamic and that Cillian’s family is supportive which is different to Ivy’s home life.
Ivy was very mature for her age and I couldn’t help but think that was because of the demands from her father. It was easy for Cillian to be convinced that she was older than she truly was.
This was a new to me author and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I loved this book and I loved Cillian and Ivy. They have great chemistry and the story is beautiful and you know that they are meant to be together but not before overcoming some hurdles and finding their way to each other after years of being apart. This is an emotional roller coaster ride and I was so glad to be a part of it. This is my first book by Kaylene Winter and I am looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

This is my first time reading this author and I was curious about this couple just from the blurb. I wasn't expecting to be on a ride where my emotions were all over the place. Cillian and Ivy’s story hits some triggering topics, but the story is worth telling. I will be checking out Kaylene's other books just to know more about this family.

Wow !!!! I totally loved the start of this series !!!! I love how ivy and Cillian deal with how Ivy lied, they both grew up and took responsibility. It shows no matter what happens in the past family should always pull together even if you’re not happy with the choices people make!!!!! I definitely recommend this book !!!!
