    I loved book one and book two was just as good. Amber just knows how to kill it with a dual pov romance.

    Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions while reading this book. You are sucked it from the beginning and it doesn’t stop. Can’t put the book down good. The characters complexity was done so well, they all had depth to them. You can’t help but fall in love.

    Melissa is such a strong character. She has gone through so much in just a short amount of time, my heart broke for her. But no matter what, she keeps her head held high and she pushed through it. She does judge herself way too harshly on her scars, I just wanted to hug her and tell her she’s beautiful.

    Javier…can I just say SWOON! Tattoos, sexy body, AND a Spanish accent? Yes please. He is perfect for Melissa.

    The two of them come together after tragedy strikes from gang violence. Both of them struggling to cope. The connection and chemistry between them is so strong.

    After Us by Amber Hart is an emotionally gripping book that explores dealing with grief, redemption, and forbidden love.

    Melissa our FMC hides her pain behind a smile after a terrible tragedy rips her away from her best friend and she's haunted by a forbidden kiss with Javier a boy with his own dark past.

    Javier our MMC is seeking vengeance and is willing to risk everything to honor his family, but his dangerous actions threaten not only his own future but Melissa’s as well.

    The chemistry between Melissa and Javier is intense. Their emotional struggles are raw yet relatable. This story was full of not only romance but suspense keeping readers invested in the journey to heal and find each other amidst the chaos.

    What I loved most about this book is how Amber has captured the raw emotions of both characters. The slow-burn romance between Melissa and Javier is authentic and captivating the tension between them kept me hooked throughout. I also loved how the story balances the suspense of Javier's dangerous path with the tenderness of their connection. If you love a slow burn romance a forbidden love then this is the book for you. You won’t regret picking up this read.

    the MCs are both deeply wounded yet incredibly strong. Their romance feels raw and real, undeniable chemistry
    following tough topics such like grief, trauma, and the consequences of violence

    What I loved most about this book is filled with emotion, longing, and just the right amount of danger to keep you flipping the pages

    The secrets, the twists, and the turns had me in love with this read. But before I indulge any further let me just say, I recommend the first book by the author called Before You 🧡 that took my breath away! Let me say the diversity within this read, as well as the betrayals that kept me on edge. Oh my geez when I had read about Melissa and Javier relationship and the secrets that they held and 🤫 even though Javier had his moments at times, let me just say the chemistry between him and Melissa was steamy, connective, and well dynamic, and also well rounded! ☺️ Also the secrets he kept! Let me tell you this read, has the highs, the lows, the anticipation, that had me rolling, laughing, and crying at the same time 🥹!

    Thank you so much to Amber Hart 🥰 for blessing me with an advance read with both After Us and a copy of Before You 📖! I enjoyed the story progression of each book, and the development of each character's story!     I loved seeing Javier and Melissa’s stories after meeting them in Before You. Melissa is a great best friend, but to see her step in center stage was awesome. I love how these characters came together, while they’re each dealing with their own grief and struggles. The banter is so witty and I just loved watching everything play out. If you love YA romance, check this out!

    I was lucky enough to have the chance to read the second novel in the series, After Us by Amber Hart. And I absolutely loved this book!!!! 10000/5 in my books ❤️🙂‍↕️ this book took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions 🥹 just like the first book, Before You, this book really keeps you at the edge of your seat ! I felt so happy, sad, angst, sorrow, ready to throw things, etc 😅

    This book is about Melissa, Faith’s best friend and Javier, Diego’s primo/brother from another mother. This is their story, trying to rebuild their life after what life had thrown at them. Like I said, this book takes you on a journey of what happens when two people from different cultural backgrounds fall in love. Do they break barriers placed by culture or do they give up? Only one way to find out!

    This book has so many of my favorite things!!!

    Melissa and Javier's story is just too good. They're both struggling to deal with everything that happened in Before You (Before & After, #1). They both have their own battles and demons too. I really enjoy the way these characters are written in this series. They're young, they make stupid choices, and they figure their stuff out because they have to.

    I'm not going to post spoilers, but if you loved Book# 1 then you NEED to read this one too!!
