    If you’re a all a hockey romance fan and you haven’t found this amazing series yet, you’ve got some catching up to do. I’ve been eager for Cruz's story since the beginning and was on pins and needles awaiting it. He's been stoic and mysterious, but always someone with a big heart who has a way of helping the other guys with their love lives.

     

    This story was not at all what I expected, instead, it was so much more. I should have known Cruz would fall forever when he fell and that he would do anything to protect those he loves. Even if it means great personal sacrifice. Our broody hero is deep and layered, and his beautiful heart shines through in everything he does.

    This one was so much fun, in the way that Padgett added a friendly competition between the guys and gals over who could make the match between Cruz and Vivi first. We get the fun shenanigans between teammates and unconditional acceptance from their ladies, and it always feels like coming home when I get more of this group.

    I love the found family aspect of this – the teammates are the perfect balance of hilarious banter and heartfelt loyalty, and the wives and girlfriends are welcoming and protecting, and maybe a little bit scheming. I adore Cruz's mom, Lola, a fiercely loving matriarch with a side of wit and sass.

    The work with retired military, K-9 and human, is a beautiful, touching side plot, and I love the Easter egg of Vivi's name. The cherry on top was seeing my all-time favorite book boyfriend Camden Grace and his lady Jenna (Deep in the Heart) again. I can’t say enough positive about this one. Phenomenal from beginning to end, you won’t want to miss this humorous, heartfelt, addictive romance.

    On one of the hardest days of her life, Vivian meets the most wonderful guy, one with whom she finds an instant connection. Lennon Cruz is a one of a kind person, and they're both falling hard. But when something awful happens, the tragedy causes Cruz to push her away. It was only for her safety, even though she doesn't know that's the reason.

    His matchmaking hockey teammates may not have known why Cruz is so off his game, but they did know he needed to get back together with Vivi, so cooked up a scheme to get them back together. But it's not going to be that easy, because she's got a broken heart and isn't easy to trust anymore. Two broken hearted people on a collision course = disaster, or perhaps the start of their second chance love story.

    Oh this poor couple! My heart broke for them, even as mad as I was at Lennon for causing his own heartbreak. But thanks to meddling (oh sorry, matchmaking *wink wink*) teammates, the two were able to finally find their way back to each other. I've been loving this hockey series, and am glad I got to read Vivi and Cruz's second chance story, because it made the series that much better.

    Awww. This book was soo sweet! I adored Lennon and Vivi's story. There's just something to be said about a rough-tough cream puff like Lennon. All business on the ice while soft as a falling snowflake when falling in love. When things heat up, their open-door bedroom scenes get really hot!
    Alexa Padgett combined just the right amount of spice in the book to be romantic, not raunchy. The interaction among the teammates and their matchmaking conversations were hilarious, too! Another Powerplay is a true gem.
