3.75stars- LOADED LACES is the third (2.5) instalment in Elise Faber’s contemporary, adult EAGLES HOCKEY, erotic, hockey romance series. This is single mother and PA Belle Harrison and hockey player West Stevenson’s second chance story line. LOADED LACES is a fast paced, quick read focusing on secrets and lies, forgiveness and love. The premise is entertaining and captivating but I was hoping for a little bit more. The romance is subtle; the characters are determined and dynamic.

This quickly paced read had me up in my feels and swooning. Belle and West's second chance romance will give your emotions a workout as it melts your heart. Spicy steam, spark filled chemistry, and some solid twists makes this an engaging and potent book that is irresistible.

Well written, this was at times an emotional read that really got to me. When sixteen year old Belle broke things off with West, she left behind a bitter man who doesn’t trust. Now Belle is in need of help and she turns to West. From the first chapter I was invested. Not only are they wonderful characters but they have such a strong connection that you cannot help but become drawn into their story.This book is a little gem and I loved everything about it.
