Delicate Storm by Katherine Jay
4,5/5⭐
3/5🌶️

This book was my first read by this author, and I can already tell it won’t be my last! The moment I read the blurb, I knew I’d fall in love with Easton and Paige—and I was right! Their chemistry is off the charts right from the beginning. They have such different personalities, yet they complement each other so well. Easton and Paige meet on a plane, thinking they might never see each other again, but surprise—they end up living in the same apartment! After that, they keep bumping into each other, and eventually, they decide to enter into a friends-with-benefits arrangement.

Easton is a football player and a single dad whose life is a bit chaotic; he’s not looking for a relationship, especially after his ex betrayed him. But the more he runs into Paige, the more he can’t stop thinking about her. On the flip side, Paige comes from a wealthy family, but when her ex’s family starts making her life difficult, she moves to California to reconnect with her dad.

I loved how different Easton and Paige are! Easton is a grump who likes to keep people at a distance—his main focus is his son. And then there’s Paige, who is like a ray of sunshine! She’s bubbly and speaks her mind; it’s no wonder Easton is drawn to her light. I also adored how she bonds with Easton’s son, Isaac. The way she falls for both of them is seriously heartwarming.

This book has all the elements I love: sizzling chemistry, witty banter, steamy scenes, and the camaraderie among the players and their partners. There’s some angst too, which made it even more engaging. I loved how the characters are willing to sacrifice for those they love. I’m intrigued by the other players and can’t wait to dive into their stories!

A hot knife against cold butter smooth, effortless, and just a little bit magical. That’s exactly how Delicate Storm reads, and let me tell you, Easton and Paige, they are the literal definition of opposites attract. We’re talking Grumpy McGrumpface meets Miss Sunshine herself. I swear, Easton is the grumpiest grumpy man in the entire history of romance novels. Like, if being a grump was an Olympic sport, he’d have a gold medal. And then there’s Paige, she's the human embodiment of sunshine, sparkles, and probably rainbows too. Watching him fall head over heels for her is like watching a cactus trying to hug a cloud. You just know it’s going to be messy, but oh, is it beautiful!

Reading this book was like being on the most chaotic, heart-thumping roller coaster of emotions. Seriously, Delicate Storm had it all the funny banter, the crazy antics, the spicy scenes that made me wonder if I needed a fan. A sports romance? Check. A single dad? Sold! And then we’ve got Paige, minding her business, looking fabulous as usual, and just trying to survive when BAM here comes Easton, grumpy as a bear with a stubbed toe, not realizing that he’s about to fall for the literal sunniest person alive. It's a thing of beauty.

And let’s not forget Isaac—this sweet little ray of sunshine who steals every scene. He’s so precious, it’s that little Isaac has the ability to make anyone fall head over heels.

In conclusion, this book was a masterpiece. Give me all the grumpy guys, please. I will inhale them, one book at a time. Paige D'Angelo, you are my girl crush and I have zero regrets about it. Just... wow.

Katherine you are amazing!

I absolutely loved this book.
Easton and Paige are amazing characters and their story is one that had me hooked from the start. From their initial interactions with Easton in full on grump mode and Paige being bubbly, fun and persistent, to their scorching hot attraction, to their protective, supportive and deep love for one another, this couple deliver it all. Then add in Easton’s young son Isaac and you get some of the sweetest moments and a perfect trio.
I am a big fan of Katherine’s writing for many reasons, one of them being how well she writes an angsty romance. She completely draws me in with her words and holds me captive as the story unfolds, at times holding my breath as I anticipate what happens next. She’s also one of my top found family writers and in Delicate Storm I loved this aspect of the book, with characters from book 1 and from her Heartstrings series, I could happily stay in this world indefinitely.
This book is one of my top reads of the year and I cannot recommend it enough.

I love the contradictory use of words for this title. If you’re just looking at it from a surface level you might think.. “How is a storm delicate?!” Personally, I interpreted it as a portrayal of the FMC and MMC. Apart from the obvious, that the team name is ‘Storm’, Paige and Easton are weaving a story together, and they have to do it carefully. But you can feel things start to build and eventually... that storm’s a comin.

The last football romances I read were by Willow Aster and maaan I forgot how much I love this as the sport we’re focused on. I’m not much of a football fan (hockey girlie through and through), but in this atmosphere the love of the game is something you as the reader can’t help but get swept up in.

One thing I absolutely love about this author’s writing is how D R A M A is worked into most of the book and it’s done tastefully. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s ok! This just happens to be action-packed and heartfelt at the same time. Taaaake a chance and dive in with book 1 and 2 in this series!

Single dad? Grumpy x Sunshine? Sports romance? Say less! I absolutely adored Easton and Paige's story, and we can't forget sweet little Isaac 🥹

He's the grumpy, broody football player and she's the bubbly socialite and a little ray of sunshine. And they were so damn perfect for one another and exactly what they both needed. She's so supportive of Easton and sticks by his side throughout all the hard times he's going through.

I loved how naturally their relationship blossomed throughout, it was truly something special 🥰 the banter was also top notch👌🏼 I am absolutely loving this series so much and cannot wait for what's next.

I am obsessed with this series and it is only the second book! This author has a way of weaving a story with characters that have so many layers and emotions that are so raw and real. If you haven’t started this series, you are missing out.

Easton and Paige are complete opposites. Easton is a broody, single dad and professional football player who’s is avoiding the public eye after his messy breakup was blown up very publicly.

Paige is a model who is rebuilding herself after personal details of her life made gossip pages. She is sunshine and rainbows, but she knows what she wants and she is fierce and loyal.

The banter between these two is fantastic! The chemistry was off the charts and when they start a “friends/neighbors with benefits” situation, it doesn’t take long before feelings develop.

💜Sports Romance 🏈
💜Grumpy-Sunshine
💜Single Dad
💜Strangers to Friends with Benefits
💜Team owners Daughter

She’s in the media. He likes his life kept private
She’s sunshine. He’s Grumpy.

He has enough problems to sort out and just wants to keep to himself and his life with his son, so a relationship just isn’t on the cards for him. But fate keeps their paths crossing, and with every interaction the attraction between them grows. It’s supposed to just be a bit of fun, no strings attached but I mean it’s romance book so we all know how that works out 😉 but not before some trials in the form of ex’s and their parents, blackmail and self rebuilding.

They may be dealing with a lot but when they are together their banter is cute, they have great chemistry and I loved Easton as a dad and Paige being integrated into their family. She is what they both needed. I am a sucker for Single Dad Romance so I was personally excited when I learned this was one of the tropes for Katherine’s latest release and after briefly meeting Easton in book one she could not have written a better story for him.

*ARC REVIEW*

Easton and Paige are the definition of opposites attract. He is a grumpy, broody football player, and she is a bubbly, talkative socialite, but they make the perfect couple.

This book had all of my favorite things wrapped in one. I liked that there was some drama to keep me into the storyline, but Easton and Paige never faltered on their feelings for each other. Isaac was such a great addition, and his relationship with Paige was literally the cutest thing ever.

The SPICE in this book was soo hott. 🔥🔥 Easton is a goddess of a man, and Paige is probably one of my favorite FMC's ever.

I absolutely loved Paige, Easton, and Isaac’s story! Paige and Easton first meet on a plane and keep crossing paths after. I adored how confident Paige was in making it clear she wanted Easton. They agree to keep things casual since their lives are complicated, but feelings quickly deepen as they support each other through tough times. Easton is such a caring father, and Paige fits into their world so effortlessly. If you're looking for a steamy sports romance filled with heartfelt moments, this is a must read!

4 Star Review Delicate Storm ( San Francisco End Game #2) by Katherine Jay

Katherine Jay is a new author to me and I can’t believe I haven’t read this author before.

This is professional football player and single dad Easton and model Paige’s story. Add in Easton’s adorable three year old son Isaac and all this made for a wonderful read.

These two could not be more different t and yet they work as a couple. I liked how she brought the light into Easton and Isaac’s lives.

The connection between them is intense, the chemistry sizzled.
However, neither were looking for love and yet fate had other plans.

Starting a fiends with benefits relationship neither expected how quickly their relationship would evolve into so much more.

Tis the season of new authors and I am THRIVING!!! My first time reading Katherine Jay, and I am a HUGE FAN!!! I’m also finding myself in my football romance era, and she did NOT disappoint 😍

The second book in the San Francisco End Game series, and we meet Paige and Easton.

Easton is the ultimate grumpy single dad, NFL player who is going through a VERY messy and VERY public breakup. His focus is solely on his son and football.

Paige is a sunshine and rainbows model and business owner who is ALSO going through her own messy breakup. Trying to navigate her personal life being blasted to the world through the tabloids.

The two meet on a flight and it’s super sweet and cute. But they both realise they will probably never see each other again, and are resigned to that because truly they have no time or emotional room for anything serious at the moment. But that all changes when a few months later they bump into each other and realise they both live in the same apartment building. Fate working over time here 🤭

After dancing around each other for a while , especially when Easton realises that Paiges dad is the new owner of his team, they decide to give in to their urges and start a no strings attached friends with benefits arrangement. But that only lasts so long because as much as they don’t want anything serious, they can’t fight the natural and undeniable pull they have towards each other. As much as they try to deny it, they can’t help the real emotions and feelings that start to develop between them.

Paige brings a much needed light into Easton and his son, Issacs life. And Easton brings a secure love and devotion into Paige’s life that she never thought she would find. And the relationship between Paige and Issac is SO SWEET. I loved seeing how , separate from Easton, they really bonded and formed a special connection.

Now…the SPICE 🥵 MAM! I was BLUSHING! Paige and Easton had those pages BURNING UP and I was absolutely HERE FOR IT! They were just as hot for each other outside the bedroom as they were in and I couldn't get enough!

I really also loved how real and flawed side characters were. Sometimes you read a story and everyone is either all good or all bad and it's just flat. But there was so much depth to everyone and it just made the whole story come together even more. The tension of not knowing whether their exes would try to ruin what they were building had me on the edge of my seat. But thankfully there was no unnecessary drama. Just lots of love, laughter , spicy times and found family 💜

📚ARC Review: Delicate Storm by Katherine Jay📚
•Rate:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

✨About the Characters:
Paige – She’s independent, intelligent, and has a spark that makes her truly shine. Despite growing up in a wealthy family, she was raised to value hard work and never takes anything for granted. She’s determined and resilient, always pushing forward no matter what life throws her way. What I loved most about Paige is how deeply she cares—whether it’s for Isaac, Easton, or her friends. She doesn’t want to let people down, and she’s always there when they need her, especially Easton. Their connection is something special, and the way she loves him is so pure and strong.

Easton – The ultimate grump with a heart of gold. At first glance, he’s moody and standoffish, but beneath that exterior, he’s thoughtful, protective, and surprisingly gentle in his own way. He has a tough past, but his love for his son, Isaac, is unwavering. He would do anything for him, which instantly made me love his character. And when it comes to Paige? Their chemistry is undeniable. He may be brooding, but she gets under his skin in the best way, and together, they balance each other perfectly.

Paige and Easton’s story begins on a plane, where their first interaction is anything but friendly. Easton is his usual grumpy self, but when an arrogant guy causes trouble, he unexpectedly steps in to help Paige. From there, their paths keep crossing, and over time, the tension turns into something deeper.
And once they finally open up to each other, they become this perfect little family, with Isaac at the heart of it all. The way both of them love and care for him melted my heart.

✨My Thoughts:
I absolutely loved this story! Everything was mixed perfectly—the romance, the friendships, the emotional moments, and the drama. It all came together in a way that made the book feel so real and engaging. The friendships between the characters were beautifully written, and I loved how each one of them had their own moments to shine. The support they gave each other showed that love isn’t just about romance—it’s also about family and friendship.

There were a few moments that felt a bit off for me, but overall, this book completely won me over. I can’t wait to read the next one!

(I received an ARC for this book)

Trigger Warnings include:
blackmail by using intimate images, child custody battle involving an absentee parent, ALS diagnosis (parent), child in distress, cheating (not involving MCs)

This is the PERFECT example why I LOVE Katherine’s books so much! The undeniable attraction and chemistry, the fun banter, all the heart squeezed in there! Plus, the inclusion of past characters, as well as future characters! (What a fabulous bonus getting to spend time with characters that mean so much to me AND experience them loving each other!) Even with the extra time with those characters, I can say with certainty that Easton and Paige are my favorite of Katherine Jay’s couples! Easton and Paige are so preoccupied protecting the walls they’ve built around themselves. They were their own worst enemies. I loved that the universe had no intentions of keeping them apart. Their connection gave them peace, something they are both in need of. Easton Wilder has become one of my favorite gentle grumps. He’s sweet, thoughtful, and completely in his own head. A place I did not mind being!

My Favorite Quotes:
• “I want you. Anything. Everything.”
• “This p!ssy and that mouth are a dangerous combination on their own. But you screaming my name from those pretty pink lips is downright fatal.”
• “You only get to come twice. But your first better be quick, because I want to take my time f!cking you for the second.”
• “I want you to leave a mark. Make me remember you long after you're gone.”
• “I know you’ve got more. F!ck me harder. Ruin me.”
• “I want this p!ssy to be mine, even if I can’t use it.”
• “You’re one in a million.”
• “I’ve got a full-length mirror and I want to watch while you worship me.”
• “I never saw you coming. But f!ck, I’m glad that you’re here.”
• “It felt nice to say it out loud.”
• “You’re my person.”
• “I think that might be the most romantic thing you’ve ever said.” “Don’t get used to it.” “Never.”

I absolutely loved this book! Delicate Storm completely pulled me in with its authentic, heartfelt romance and well-developed characters. Easton and Paige felt so real—their meet-cute was adorable, and the way they connected so seamlessly from strangers to something undeniable had me hooked. Their chemistry wasn’t just attraction; it was deep, organic, and completely consuming.

I’ll be honest—I don’t always gravitate toward the single dad trope, but Easton changed that for me here. His grizzly, protective side?? Obsessed. The way he loves his son, shows up for him, prioritizes him, and still allows Paige into their world so naturally was SO well done. I also adored how much his sister and mother played a role in both his and his son’s life—it added such a beautiful layer of warmth to the story.

And Paige. I cannot say enough good things about her. I loved how complex, confident, and self-assured she was—she knew exactly who she was and never let anyone walk all over her. Seeing her relationships with both of her parents explored was another highlight for me, especially the dynamic with her father. It felt so real and layered. Also, on a personal note, her last name being my maiden name was such a fun surprise—seeing it on the page, right after getting married, made reading this even more special!

The drama in this book was intriguing and completely plausible, but I do wish it had been fleshed out a little more. It built up really well and hit at just the right moment, but once it all came to a head, the resolution felt a little too quick. I wanted just a bit more intensity before everything wrapped up.

Overall, Delicate Storm was a fun read with realistic characters, emotional depth, and a love story that felt both natural and powerful. If you love single dad romances with protective MMCs, strong-willed FMCs, and an undeniable emotional pull, this book is for you!

Katherine Jay delivers an emotionally charged and beautifully written romance in Delicate Storm, a story that blends heartwarming family moments, sizzling chemistry, and the irresistible pull of two people afraid to fall but unable to resist.

At its core, Delicate Storm is a grumpy/sunshine romance featuring Easton, a broody, devoted single dad and professional football player, and Paige, a ray of sunshine who challenges his carefully built walls. Their dynamic is captivating—Easton’s rough edges meet Paige’s warmth, creating a push-and-pull that keeps you hooked. Both characters are deeply layered, carrying past fears and hesitations that make their journey to love feel all the more real.

One of my favorite scenes (and arguably the most swoon-worthy) is when they finally admit their feelings. The raw vulnerability between them, the hesitation before surrendering to what they both knew was inevitable—it was a beautifully written moment that hit all the right emotional beats.

Beyond the romance, the novel shines in its strong themes of family. Easton’s dedication to his child and the way Paige fits seamlessly into their world added an extra layer of depth to the story. It wasn’t just about two people falling in love but about building something meaningful and lasting together.

I was so grateful to be chosen as an ARC reader for this book. Experiencing Paige and Easton’s journey firsthand was truly special, and I can’t wait for more readers to fall in love with their story.

If you love single dad romances, grumpy/sunshine pairings, and heartfelt storytelling with just the right amount of angst and passion, Delicate Storm is a must-read. Katherine Jay has crafted a love story that lingers long after the final page.

The headlines about the San Francisco Storm just won't stop. One of those headlines features Easton and the end of his relationship. He goes on a trip to take some time out. On the flight back, he meets Paige and there is something there immediately. But only two things matter in Easton's life: his son and football. But then Paige is everywhere. And above all, she lives in the same building and immediately makes friends with his son. But Paige also has things from her past that are becoming more and more public. And neither of them wants to drag the other into their messes, but feelings are hard to fight.

Delicate Storm is book 2 of the San Francisco End Game series. The books can be read independently of each other, but I loved book 1 so much that I can tell you that you would be missing out on a fantastic book if you don't read all the books in this series so far.

I really enjoyed Delicate Storm. I love characters like Easton: grumpy with so many layers that you gradually discover and uncover more and more of a character that is so deep and lovable. And Paige is also an insanely great character. Sunshiny but also with a lot of depth. I really liked her positive attitude. I found the encounters between the two of them at the beginning of the story particularly funny. They were just wonderfully funny and entertaining when Paige, with her good mood and positive attitude, meets the grumpy Easton. But there is also plenty of suspense. Again and again you wonder when Easton's or Paige's past will make an appearance. And even though the tension is always high, I liked how everything was resolved without unnecessary drama. With the Storm being the amazing team they already were in book 1 this book is just awesome and I can't wait to read more.

Delicate Storm by author Katherine Jay is book 2 in her San Francisco End game series and is an interconnected standalone. This gives us the story of Easton and Paige.

Our FMC, Paige, is a San Francisco transport, as she has just relocated from New York needed a change. Paige’s dad is the new owner of the San Francisco football team. She is dealing with her ex, Christian, and a situation with his family that is causing extra stress on her.

Easton, is a single dad to his 3 year old son, Isaac. Easton is also dealing with his own drama with his ex, Macy. Easton keeps running into his new neighbor, Paige, and feels an immense attraction and is drawn to her.

Easton and Paige decide to have a no strings attached relationship. What starts off a no strings relationship quickly turns into so much more as their relationship shifts. They both develop feelings for each other and when situations arise they find they want to be there for each other, have their back, and protect them at all costs.

What Happens when Easton realizes she’s the new owner’s daughter? What happens when Paige realizes Easton is a star player on her dad’s team? What happens as their relationship shifts? Will they open their hearts?

This book was a bit more of a slower burn like will they or won’t they. Much more than I anticipated but it was still really good.

This series has been one I have enjoyed reading I'm looking forward to reading Reckless Storm in a few months.

“I want you to leave a mark, East. Make me remember you long after you're gone.”

There’s only one place Paige D’Angelo likes to be told what to do and Easton Wilder is happy to oblige…

These two meet on a plane as Paige uproots her life and moves to San Francisco. She’s the chipper, sun is always shining type and he’s, let’s just say, cranky. Easton is a wide receiver for the San Francisco Storm. The only thing more important than playing is his son, Isaac. Neither have any intention of meeting someone but they keep running it each other, like fate has a plan they’re unaware of. The attraction was instant and palpable. Connecting was inevitable. And boy, it’s hot. But then something starts to happen. He becomes the one she wants to call when she’s had a bad day. She’s the one he can’t stop thinking about. The only problem? She’s the team owner’s daughter and absolutely off limits.

Oh man, these two!! I love them so much. The vulnerability. The protectiveness. The depth. But also the playfulness and ease of their bond. Isaac is a little sweetie and stole my heart. Delicate Storm is beautifully written and will pull you in from the jump. You’ll be turning those pages pushing for their happy ending. Another soul filling read by Katherine Jay.

“I never saw you coming, Paige. But fuck, I’m glad that you’re here.”

“You’re my person, Paige. Always have been. We just hadn’t met yet.”

“I have never thought about having my own kids… Actually I’ve never given much thought to kids in general. And now I know why. I was saving my heart for Isaac, because I couldn’t imagine not having him in my life.”

Delicate Storm is book#2 of the San Francisco End Game series and is Paige and Easton’s story.
I really enjoyed book 1 of this series but this one has definitely now taken the top spot for me, as I bloody loved it!

Easton, a professional football player and recently single dad first meets socialite Paige when she sits next to him on a plane. At the end of the journey the pair go their separate ways but soon realise they live in the same building when they keep bumping into each other.
Both Easton and Paige have pretty complicated past relationships, neither are looking to start anything serious but the connection between the pair is strong and the solution…..A friends with benefits situation. Although their original agreed no strings arrangement soon turns into so much more for the both of them.

Easton is a bit of a grump who keeps himself to himself, where as Paige is a ray of sunshine that definitely likes to talk. They are complete opposites of each other but I loved how they just seemed to fit together so well. The chemistry between the pair is definitely undeniable and leads to some very spicy moments that I’m sure others will love just as much as I did! The way their relationship developed throughout the story was so natural, the connection that Paige built with Easton’s son Isaac was beautiful and along with all the drama that unfolded along the way, I was hooked until the very end.
The added addition of Easton’s teammates and their families brought so much more to this story. They were such a great dynamic, with lots of banter filled moments that had me laughing throughout.
I am so looking forward to the next instalment of this series!

This book is a must read for all the football romance lovers! Single dad, football, owner’s daughter, casual fling… It has everything to make this story steamy, swoony, and exciting. Paige and Easton meet on a flight and have a really cute interaction. Then a few months later they meet again and discover they live in the same building. What starts as a no-strings-attached, off-limits bad idea quickly turns into something neither of them can walk away from. They had all the reasons in the world to stay away from each other, but they just couldn’t. Neither one wanted to be in a relationship, they both have complicated relationships with their ex, and of course Paige is the team owner’s daughter! And let me tell you, I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't put the book down. I didn’t know who or what was going to cause problems next! There was so much tension and chemistry between them. And a super hot scene in public during a speech 🥵🥵
And don’t even get me started on the way he adores her and fights for her. And the way that she falls for his son, Isaac. It was adorable, and he really bonded with her quickly too. These two belong together, and they created the cutest family.
There was also some interesting family dynamics going on. Paige’s parents were both flawed characters who did really love her. I feel like you usually either get the terrible parents, or the perfect ones and these two were a good combination. And Easton’s mom had a story that will bring you to tears.

Katherine, this is your best book yet. Luke took the crown from Wes and then in strode Easton and snatched it straight from him.

Easton Wilder, the guy with the biggest heart but no-one knows because it’s hidden behind this tough exterior. That is until Paige sat next to him on the plane and moved into the same building as him. The way they came together, it was intense, and they gave each other an escape that benefitted both. But when Wilder finds out she is the new owners daughter and completely off limits, they end things. Or try to atleast.

Both of these mc’s have complicated past relationships that impact them in ways unavoidable. Paige’s heart was stunning, the way she gave it to Isaac before Easton ruined me. Her priorities were in the right place and this socialite was made to be who she became by the end. Both characters growth was phenomenal - Easton slowly letting people in. Be still my aching heart. The emotional part of this was everything.

Side characters were amazing, they added so much to this story. The players, the wives/girlfriends. The families. So freaking good. The chat, banter and dynamics had me laughing out loud. The spice.. on my knees begging for Easton to ruin me. That man knows what he’s doing and how to leave an impression. The plot was so clever. Katherine did all of this, whilst name dropping a few of our favourites and tied it up with a little bow perfectly. I cannot wait for more from this series.

Words to describe the grumpiest MMC I have ever read......PERFECTION oh and where can I find him?! Easton is just the most perfect growly, broody grump of a man I just immediately fell in love with him. And, when matched with Paige, who sprinkles stardust, rainbows and sunshine everywhere she goes (I imagined this the whole time) you could not have a more opposites attract. So, imagine their first meeting, and the biggest smirk I had on my face. Easton immediately trying, poorly, to deflect all of this shiny, happiness but fails miserably. Snarling Lion meet cute Bunny Rabbit.

The chemistry between these two, well if you are turned on, inside out and spun around not once, but twice, I am unsure any book will do it for you. These two scorch and set the bar high for others falling into a "friends with benefits" arrangement!! There is a scene.....my soul left my body and went into a hell of hotness. Paige is all sunshiny, but she does not suffer fools, and knows what she wants, and I love her. Of course, there are some struggles there for them both and if you imagine yourself being spun around in a spin cycle, and then thrust into a drier, that was my emotions throughout. Oh, and let's not forget Issac, Easton’s boy, OMFG he is just the cutest little patootie and his moments with Easton and Paige melted my heart. Katherine, I am kneeling and worshipping at your writing desk, and loving everything I have read of yours. I cannot wait for the next book in this series, and again, where can I find Easton?

Oh boy I ate this book up I loved everything about it, Paige and Easton relationship throughout the book was incredible especially their chemistry and banter

These two have to be my favorite Katherine couples, their communication especially he’s was top tier especially when things was getting hard, the way they love each other and work out their problems they just understand each other

I couldn’t get enough of them especially Issac he’s so adorable, Easton and Paige dynamic was everything and the SPICE 🥵🥵, their both complex characters who deserve each other

Easton is the standard single grumpy dad he’s trying to balance football while being a single dad who deserves somebody who loves him and his son and I’m so glad he found Paige

I loveeee Paige and will defend her with my life, she’s such a sunshine girl that just speaks her mind and very independent, who’s also a model, business owner and who’s also a incredible artist

I definitely can’t wait for the next book, I’m loving the found family in this series especially their chemistry group chats

Paige relocates to San Francisco for a fresh start. As a socialite and model, she is no stranger to the spotlight and scandal. A chance encounter on an airplane with the grumpy window seat guy turns her new adventure upside down. Not only do they meet on a plane, but also live in the same building. The physical chemistry between them explodes, until another bomb is dropped. Window seat guy is actually Easton Wilder, newly single dad, and superstar wide receiver for the San Francisco Storm. The same team her father is the new owner of.

This book has everything a romance reader could want. I love the way Katherine takes you on a unique, consuming journey with each story she tells. Paige and Easton both have dark pasts full of drama and heavy baggage. What starts as casual and purely physical, quickly and effortlessly morphs into more. I love that this story gives an authentic and raw human experience. They face things individually and together that are overwhelming at times, but also bind them together.

I really enjoyed this one! Easton was the grumpiest single dad and Paige was such a fun FMC. Easton is a star wide receiver & single dad to Issac. Paige, a socialite from NY comes to San Francisco looking for a fresh start & to re connect with her estranged father who happens to own the team Easton plays for.

A few chance encounters later & the two find themselves with an undeniable attraction. I loved how these two complimented each other- truly an opposites attract story. Paige challenged Easton in a way no one ever had & Easton gave Paige the sense of home she was looking for. I loved the way Paige & Issac’s friendship developed. It was SO refreshing to not just read another single dad x nanny sports book! This one was a weeeee bit long tho!

The emotional component I didn’t see coming but it enhanced the story more! Loved the side characters & family members.

Faves:

“I never saw you coming, Paige. But f*ck, I’m glad that you’re here.”

“Surly Easton is hot, alpha Easton is even hotter, but happy Easton? That guy could melt a woman’s panties right off. Including mine.”

Tropes:
Single dad
Pro football romance
Forbidden
Forced Proximity
Team Owner’s daughter

I love the San Francisco Storm! Katherine has created this wonderful family of sorts...even if several of the members are reluctant. And no one seems more reluctant then Easton Wilder. The grumpy wide receiver was put through the ringer in book one and we were only getting a birds eye view, now it's his turn!

Easton is trying to be the best football player and the best dad, but it seems like a never ending cycle of dropping the "ball" on one or the other. The last thing he can handle is a relationship, and luckily for him the chatty and gorgeous girl he met on a plane wants easy and casual.

Paige is running from her problems or starting a new adventure depending on how you look at it. Moving to San Francisco is temporary, she will spend some time with her estranged dad and keep a low profile. She never expected to see the hottie from the plane again...but it turns out he lives in her building. She decides to be bold and make the first move...and my oh my it's a MOVE!

The uncertainty of both Easton and Paige's personal lives kept me on the edge of my seat...not knowing how things could possibly be resolved. Katherine really took me on a journey with this one and I loved every minute of it, including the spicy moments, they were impeccable!

ARC: Easton & Paige had me hooked from the first page! Sizzling chemistry, thick tension and a rollercoaster of emotions. This is my favorite Katherine Jay book to date!

I read the ARC of Beautiful Storm and i fell in love with the characters. Especially Easton Wilder was one character i was most looking forward too. He is so grumpy & broody and when i read that he was a Single Dad.. i couldn‘t wait for his story. Love me a Single Dad! Katherine didn‘t disappoint, i devoured his book and man, what a rollercoaster that was.

Paige is a new character and i love her! She‘s amazing and has become my fav Katherine Jay FMC. She has so many different layers and i love her growth and how she craved the simpler life with a family rather than her previous glamorous life. Her repairing her relationship with her dad and her relationship with Easton & Isaac was so sweet to read and i loved her moments with Isaac. I got teary-eyed🤧

I enjoyed seeing Easton‘s growth as well and how both opened up to each other and broke down each others walls. I just enjoyed everything about this book. It had me emotional at some parts & laughing and swooning. A must-read for any football romance, single dad, grumpy x sunshine lover with all the feels!

Every book Katherine puts out becomes my new fave I swear! But realistically how could I not LOVE this one?! Single dad? Grumpy x sunshine? With a bit of forbidden? Tick ✔️ tick ✔️ tick ✔️

Book 2 of the San Fransisco End Game came through with the biggest emotional punch and I loved every minute of it!
Easton is such a devoted dad to his son Isaac, while also being the token broody pro football player just trying to do his best, meets Paige, the biggest ray of sunshine, who is also super fierce, independent but also happens to be his football team owners daughter! She really helps Easton by being the support and warmth he needs in tough times, and these two go through some VERY tough times together!

I loved their dynamic and how their relationship just blossomed so naturally from FWB to true, pure love! Katherine writes amazing banter and this book was definitely not lacking in that department, whether it was between Easton and Paige, Easton and his teammates, Delicate Storm is definition of a page turner and I really couldn’t get enough!

I’m so excited for what Katherine has planned next because this series truly is amazing 💜

If you love a single dad, grumpy x sunshine, and sports romance, Delicate Storm is a must-read! Katherine Jay absolutely delivers with Easton, the brooding football player and devoted father, and Paige, the bubbly socialite who brings light into his life. Their dynamic is pure magic—Easton’s rough edges meet Paige’s warmth, and the way they push and pull at each other makes for a captivating story.

From their first meeting on a plane to the way they keep crossing paths, Paige’s confidence in pursuing Easton is refreshing, and their casual arrangement quickly deepens as they support each other through the tough times. The banter is top-notch, the chemistry is sizzling, and watching their relationship blossom naturally is heartwarming. Paige fits seamlessly into Easton’s world, especially with his sweet son, Isaac.

This book beautifully blends romance with strong themes of family, and one of the most swoon-worthy moments is when they finally admit their feelings—the vulnerability and raw emotion make it unforgettable. If you’re looking for a steamy, heartfelt sports romance, Delicate Storm is one you can’t miss!
