Chloe Corcoran (BA '04) was recently cast in a first of its kind audio reality series titled "BEING Trans". This series aims to foster radical empathy around the lived experiences of trans people, and has been covered by the New York Times among many other media outlets. Recently, it was named one of the "Best Podcasts of 2022 (So Far)" by Spotify. Chloe also appeared on a Times Square billboard earlier this summer and was honored on Pride night by the Los Angeles Dodgers for her activism.
Brandon Pachman (BA '20, MA '21) started a new job as a Staff Assistant in the office of Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT).
Paul Rosier (PhD '98) was appointed the director of the Albert Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest at Villanova University, where he serves as professor of history. The Lepage Center generates historically informed conversations that further public understanding of the present moment. The theme for 2022-2023 is Climate Change in Historical Perspective. Lou Roper (PhD '92) was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society by the society's Council in July 2022.
Tristan Sharp (BA '15) successfully defended his dissertation, "Wars, Feuds, and Enmities— The Violent State of Late Medieval Germany: 1350-1550" at the University of Chicago. He will remain at Chicago on a teaching fellowship for the next two years.
Gloria O'Toole Ulterino (BA '62) returned to school in mid-life to study theology and prepare for parish ministry. After retiring, she wrote three books. The most recent, What Time Is It? A Deep Reading of Our Lives Throughout the Liturgical Year, was published this year by Wipf and Stock Publications. Gloria combines her love of liturgy with her passion for lifting up the stories of courageous women of hope, as examples for us all. May we use our time wisely and well.
