Annual Seed Giveaway 2/10

Our annual seed giveaway will be at the Garden classroom on Saturday, February 10th from 10am–1pm.

Gardeners who requested a paper application for the 2024 gardening season may pick up their application at the giveaway, if they have not received it yet.

Gardeners must be in good standing to receive their 2024 application.

NOTE: seed giveaway is for BFCG gardeners in good standing ONLY.

Spring Fling Fundraiser 4/15 at the Sachsenheim.

Tables are reserved for parties of eight (8) or more

Vegan options available upon advanced request

Fundraiser Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed for the fundraiser on 3/16. If you are interested contact Elicia Polacek at 440-666-6101.

Baskets & door prizes

We welcome your basket of goods for our basket raffle! Or, if you would like to donate a gift card, bottle of wine, or an item $10-20 value, we would love to give it away as a door prize! NEW items, only, please.

For your convenience, door prizes may be dropped off at the Historical Society of Old Brooklyn Museum, 3430 Memphis Avenue on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays from 1–5:00 p.m. Please leave your name with the item you are donating so your contribution can be recognized.

Bakery

We are in need of baked goods for our fabulous dessert buffet. Show off your stuff! We hope attendance will reach 200 and we should provide 2-3 pieces per person.

2024 Applications

If you requested an electronic application for the 2024 gardening season, keep a look-out the first week of the February for your application. Applications will be sent to the email we have on file. Make sure to check your spam folder.

If you requested a paper application they will be mailed the first week of February to the postal address we have on file.

If you do NOT receive your application by 2/9 please email benfranklincommunitygarden@gmail.com

Gardeners must be in good standing at the close of the 2023 season in order to receive an application.

Garden Operating Committee Monthly Meetings

Your Garden Operating Committee meets year round! Unless otherwise indicated, committee meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
All gardeners and members of the public are welcome to attend!

February and March meetings will be held at
Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation
